After much debate for the last year, I finally decided to take the plunge & get a Halo & BBL treatment. I’d planned to do my face & neck but when the doc came in the room & we discussed it, I agreed to add on the chest as well. The video explains it all, but in summary , the amount of numbing made it painless. In the hours afterward it felt like a minor sunburn. I was disappointed that, after being there for 3 hours, I was unable to have my neck & chest done with the Halo as the doctor said he “ran low on time as the doctor with the patient in the next room” would need the machine before he’d be able to finish my neck & chest. So he gave me the “BBL Hero” treatment on my neck and chest instead, gratis. I’m not sure of the difference here with the BBL v BBL Hero, as it seemed that he just used the same laser a second time on those areas. But I’ll be sure to confirm when I follow up next week. I’ll post again to show progress. I just turned 59 so I’m hoping to slow aging a bit & improve my skin for the long haul. Updated on 1 May 2023: Coffee grounds have appeared along with a bit of swelling! Slept elevated on a few pillows and took 600mg ibuprofen before bed. No pain or itchiness. Stayed inside, no sun but lots of reapplying moisturizer and staying hydrated. Updated on 2 May 2023: Day 4 and coffee grounds are more pronounced. Little bits are starting to flake off and there is a little bit of itching. I’m keeping my face moisturized, which helps. My neck & chest look pretty normal now, just sandpaper for facial skin!
