Dr. Cocarro is not only an excellent surgeon but an outstanding human being. He was always compassionate and kind and his bedside manner was refreshing. He made me whole again after my double mastectomy. My breasts are BEAUTIFUL!
I had an amazing experience. I had a tummy tuck in 2009, and a breast lift reduction in 2010, and plan on having another procedure down the road. I think Dr. Coccaro is the best. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
madi droege’s testimonial I’m 70 years old and have a 20 year old butt right now! Dr stephen Coccaro performed a self-augmenting buttocks lift and even without implants, just having my sagging skin removed, my buttocks are now firm and smooth and shapley. Its like a tummy tuck but on my back side. most of my back-fat disappeared too. I have a sleek and firm silloette. I look great. it really made a difference in my life and how I feel about myself and appearance. I’m in perfect health and now I feel like my body matches my health.
I was referred by my surgeon to Dr. Coccaro for post surgical wound care. I was already aware of the skill level that Dr. Coccaro possessed since my husband and son were previously patients of his . In short, we all benefited immensely under Dr. Cocarro's care. I would highly recommend Dr. Cocarro to anyone seeking a compassionate and skilled surgeon.
I am thrilled with my decision to have a mommy makeover! I worked hard to achieve a body that was sadly unachievable. Hours in the gym, hard core workouts and diligent dieting just couldn't get me where I wanted to be no matter how hard I tried. Unfortunately the muscles of my abdomen had become separated and weakened by pregnancy and the damage was beyond my own efforts to correct. My breast were deflated and sagging from breast-feeding my children. I made the decision to have an umbilical hernia repair, full abdominoplasty, liposuction of the hips, breast lift and implants. I am 6 weeks post-op and much of my swelling has resolved and I have returned to the gym so I am beginning to appreciate the results and efforts put forth by my surgeon. I finally feel like the confident and beautiful woman I have always wanted to be .
Due to a car accident where I literally hit a cement wall doing 55mph, I sustained a 5 inch rip in my chin area (from the lip of one side to the jaw line of the other side which went through all layers leaving my teeth exposed). It was quite gruesome looking. After 8 hours of medical testing for diagnosing broken ribs, a nondisplaced jaw fracture, and a later diagnosed traumatic brain injury. Dr Coccarro came in and carefully & skillfully reattached all of the different layers together. Leaving a barely noticeable scar. Due to internal scar tissue over growth I needed to have additional treatment to destroy the "rope like" scar inside my mouth which I frequently would run my teeth on... The scar has continued to be barely noticeable.. If the er Drs were only as skilled as dr Coccarro was!
Back in 2006, I had my very first breast augmentation by a different doctor. At the time, silicone implants were not approved; therefore I had no choice but to use saline implants. Everything was great until April 2015...my right implant ruptured out of nowhere. I was going to go back to the surgeon who performed by first augmentation; however had heard awesome things about a different surgeon, Dr. Coccaro. He was absolutely amazing - he took the time to clearly explain all of my options; including using my warranty on my initial implants to help with the cost of the 2nd surgery (something that my original surgeon did not do).
I am a health conscious woman who as a result of cancer had a bilateral mastectomy and breast reconstruction by another plastic surgeon. The original plastic surgery results were very disturbing and unacceptable as my reconstructed breasts no longer resembled breasts. After living with a horrible body image for five years, I met with Dr Stephen Coccaro. He took the time to listen to me and my concerns and was very optimistic that he could help restore my symmetry and more natural body lines. I cannot believe the improvement that he was able to achieve. After five years of feeling physically unfeminine, his surgical achievement has restored my positive body image. Thank you Dr Coccaro!
Dr. Coccaro did a satisfactory Breast Reconstruction Procedure on me. He was always prompt and quick with my appointments. My dissatisfaction was with his bedside manner In the office. His informality and constant inappropriate jokes were insulting. I didn't appreciate that. It was unprofessional and made me uncomfortable.
Dr. Coccaro did a terrible job. He was supposed to correct the bump on the bridge of my nose. He ended up not even taking the bump off completely and he completely botched the tip. It's lopsided and has a weird point on one side. I would never recommend him to anyone. I went back to him to fix it and he tried 2 times. He opened my nose up while I was awake and still couldn't fix the point. I'm not in the market to find a doctor that can fix his mistakes this summer before my wedding next year.
The wound after breast surgery should generally be checked 24-48 hours later. The gauze dressing should be removed, the steri-strips left on and the patient can shower. Dry the steri-strips with a hair dryer on cool setting. Replace gauze if necessary and hold in place with a bra.
After correction of symmastia you can usually resume full activity in 2 months. However this is only possible if the implants are of the correct diameter for the patient and the repair is secure enough to keep the implant pockets separate. This may be achieved by suturing the cleavage area tissue with or without acellular dermal matrix. SFC
This can be repaired under local anesthesia in the office with no additional scarring and no time off from work. SFC
I would recommend using existing incision site through which the infra mammary fold can be placated to the chest wall with or without acellular dermal matrix reinforcement. Going smaller would also help increase your chances of a better result. I think the two breasts are relatively similar and should be treated in the same manner.
Firmness after breast revision for capsular contraction most likely represents recurrent capsular contracture but could be just delayed resolution of the normal postoperative swelling. Give it at least six months possibly twelve months to resolve before considering any further surgery.
