I could not be happier with my overall experience with this doctor, staff, & surgical team

I could not be happier with my overall experience with this doctor, staff, & surgical team. Dr. Duffy is an amazing surgeon answered all my questions & he completely changed my life. I had a pretty mild recovery really on a cpl days I was really sore & I think that is due to Dr. Duffy’s skill in the operating room. I highly recommend him to everyone believe me if I decide to do anything else he will be my 1st call.

Sorry I Waited So Long!

I had the opportunity to go for a consult with Dr. Stephen Duffy. I had vertical lines above my upper and lower lips. Dr. Duffy explained everything to me and answered my questions with detail and clarity. I was hesitant to get fillers, but decided to go for it. I did my research and found that Dr. Duffy had outstanding credentials and was highly recommended. I knew I was in good hands. Now as I look at the results I am sorry I waited so long. I look refreshed and feel wonderful about the outcome. I recommend Dr. Duffy highly.

Excellent Physician - Excellent Results

From 2011 on, I underwent several cosmetic procedures due to a neurologic condition that affects my appearance. I had been seeing a cosmetic surgeon located at 21st Avenue N. in Myrtle Beach. Around 2014, that doctor’s assistant left and was replaced with a woman that made getting an appointment, communication and follow-through extremely difficult. Every time I successfully contacted his assistant, which was rarely; she gave me excuse after excuse including, that the doctor was on vacation, in the mountains, in an accident and out sick. After about eight months of the run around, I decided to see Dr. Duffy on 44th Ave. North, off the Bypass. I am so glad I did. First off, he took outstanding medical precautions and the cost was much less then my former surgeon charged for the same procedure. Dr. Duffy also spent a lot of time just talking to me about what I hoped to gain from this procedure. Dr. Duffy’s office staff, including Crystal McNight and Crystal LaBow, were extremely accommodating and spent a great deal of time going over the procedure and the post-op instructions. I am just a couple of days’ post-op but I can already tell that I’m pleased with the results. As a side note and without accusing anyone, I am of the believe that many physicians use fake review companies just as any company can do. If a physician has 28 outstanding reviews but an overall rating of 2.5, I immediately see red flags. Regarding my first experience with Dr. Steven Duffy and his office staff, I guarantee this is a legitimate review by a patient living in Myrtle Beach.

Horrible Capsular Contracture with Implant Replacement - Myrtle Beach, SC

This was a much needed surgery. After the birth of my daughter in 2012 I developed a horrible capsular contracture. Me breast were completely un-even and very hard. They had become extremely painful and I could only lay on my right side. Within 24 hrs after surgery I was already relieved of pain from my capsular contracture. I had my Saline implants removed in 2014 and replaced with high profile saline. Two years after surgery I am still very very pleased and would the surgery over again in heart beat! Well worth it!

Breast Reduction - 34yr Old - Myrtle Beach, SC

I was having neck and back pain. I exercise regularly and my shoulders would exhaust before my legs. I wore camisole tank tops under my clothes every day for extra support. They were heavy, uncomfortable, and made me look "bigger" than I actually was. This surgery was the BEST decision I have ever made!

Breast Implant Revision

I had a horrible experience and would not recommend him to anyone for anything!

All I can say that I had a horrible experience. One of my breast saline implants had deflated (2010) and he was going to do a breast revision on both. The left one he did twice and it is still not correct plus I had to pay for the second time. Many scars and the nipple on the right breast is smaller and when he was doing the second surgery on the left he could have fixed that but did not. I have been very upset since this was done and every time I look in the mirror get upset. It looks like my breasts belong on two different people and they look like Frankenstein breasts. All was friendly, smiling, and laughing when this was first done and then when I returned, NO SMILES" I have written him letters and NO REPLY!! "BOTCHED"!!!!! Attorney time!!!!

$2,500Breast Reduction

21 Years Old, Nursing Student, BR Got Approved! Loving the results so far.

Hey guys! Im really excited to share that after years of pain my breast reduction was approved by my insurance! I am ecstatic!! I am currently a 36E and would like to go down to a B. I am always hearing the "but why? a B is so small, atlas get a full C!" And I kindly explain while that may be what they think will look good aesthetically, I am in it for the relief! Like mentioned above, I am in an intense 5 semester nursing program. We do not get breaks accept for christmas and my insurance will not let me wait that long to have the procedure done. Well, I have about a 2 week period between my spring semester ending and my summer semester starting (May 2nd-May21st). My surgeon told me his closest date will have to be May 10th. So I am having the procedure done May 10th, and will be going back the 21st. Since this is such a weird recovery time, I need advice on what to expect! Ive read most women go back to work within a week or two so that keeps me hopeful. But I am curious on a few things: -What should I expect the next few days after surgery? (pain, ambulating, range of motion, etc) -Do I need to buy a special kind of pillow so I can be elevated properly in bed? -What kind of help will I need around the house? What were you completely helpless in following the procedure where someone had to actually stay home with you? -Are surgery bras and nursing bras similar? Have some girlfriends willing to lend their nursing bras but not sure if they will be helpful in recovering. -What was your experience like when returning to work/school? (uncomfortable, painful, not too bad?) -If you had the operation and had a child, were you able to breastfeed?- this is important to me. Im sorry for so many questions! And i know I am going to be having a pre op visit with my doctor for some answers. But I would love to hear some experiences from you ladies who actually experienced it and how it affected your life! I am so excited to hear your responses and hopefully some words of encouragement!! I love reading these forums, they are definitely helping ease my anxiety! lol! I will keep everyone updated after my pre op visit on April 24th. Thanks guys! Updated on 20 May 2018: I’ve been on RealSelf religiously reading everyone’s stories and how they have come along! It has made me feel as though I’m not alone!! After careful thought, ive decided to post some of my progress pictures just to keep track of my recovery and also to help get some motivation, advice, etc. I’m going back to classes tomorrow (8-5 M-Th ugh) so I’m enjoying my last day off recovering. I’m starting to finally feel like myself again so I cannot wait to see how I feel in a month-2 months time... just in time for summer.. and those CUTE BATHING SUITS!! :) Updated on 26 May 2018: They are healing great from the front. Just underneath is what is scaring me. But I’m keeping them dressed and clean. I think they’ve also gotten a little bigger? May be swelling though.
