Hello everyone! I already made a post about my rhinoplasty experience and now I decided to document my facial contouring process and recovery as well. the clinic has given me a discount for posting my review here, but I’d also want to help people who’d planning any plastic surgery there in the future. Today January 20, 2020 – 3 months and 5 days from my surgeries. I haven’t healed all 100 yet but feel quite good. Finding that place was quite easy, their location was very convenient. Waiting line was quite long but I think it was a good sing (if they had so many patients, it meant, they are quite demanded). First I met my consultant Regina. She asked me few general questions, like, which procedures I’m interested in, what result I’m looking for etc. Then, we went to meet my surgeons. The doctor who performed my facial contouring was Dr. Shinki Park. I don’t remember much from the surgery day as I was mostly under anesthetic, only remember that was very thirsty and had to wait 4 hours. I was extremely swollen and opening my mouth was really difficult, not painful just problematic due to swelling, I guess. The service and attitude were excellent, well I got what I paid for! Btw, the cost I paid for cheekbone reduction was KRW 6,600,000 which is around USD 5,700. My now I think I deswelled a lot, not completely but way better than the first month. I have uploaded some of my pics, hope you guys will like my results. I’ll try to keep updating my review and share my progress. Updated on 19 Mar 2020: It’s been around 5 months. I feel like I fully recovered. My finally went back to normal. No more swelling! Btw, I totally forgot to mention that faced some chewing problems, but by now I can open my mouth as wide as I could before the surgery. To be honest, I was quite hungry most of the time during my recovery and wanted but couldn’t eat a lot of things, so I even lost few kgs which actually turned out quite beneficial for me. My overall experience was great, I’m totally satisfied with my results and at the moment see no sagging. I’m glad that ended up with Banobagi and Dr.Park. I’m very thankful to everyone who supported me all the time. I absolutely love my jaw line and how my cheeks and face shape came out!
This is gonna be overall review on facial contouring at Banobagi hospital with dr. Shin Ki Park. I already posted my story about proceed revision rhinoplasty. My chin area is still very swollen and I was told that swelling will gone gradually from top to bottom. I’m a bit worrying that swelling last a bit longer than I expected, but the assistant calmed me down saying that it’s totally normal and that recovery always goes differently for different people. Due to my condition, eating and opening my mouth is still quite problematic. Hope it’ll be gone very soon, can’t wait to see the result. I stayed in Seoul for about 3 weeks and during those 3 weeks could proceed few anti-swelling laser and lightening treatments as well as all stitches removal. I was also given ice packs in order to get rid of swelling faster, but it doesn’t help me that much. And they also gave me a face band which I supposed to wear as long and often as possible, but most of the time I forgot about it and wear only when for example watch tv. I dyed my hair recently, made them look a bit darker, I think my new color fits me more. I didn’t like to fold my hair up before the surgery as always thought that my face is too huge, but now even with swelling I think any hair style fits me. I look forward to share my final results, hope I won’t be disappointed. Updated on 31 Mar 2020: I already got used to my new face. Swelling finally went down, very slowly yet I don’t have it now at all. I feel how I changed not only from the outside, but from the inside too. I feel more confident now and people around me also noticed that! My facial lines became smoother now and nose and eyes, since the size of the face was reduced, now look more defined and even bigger. And I think my results now look two times greater than when I wrote my first review. I wanted natural changes and got just as I wanted and the most important is that my facial asymmetry is gone too! I hear lot of compliment about my nose, eyes and chin these days. Most people can’t even recognize that I’ve done some surgeries. Results look very natural. Sending my best regards to Banobagi hospital, especially to my doctors, they did an amazing job!
I’ve done facial contouring with rhinoplasty at Banobagi last year in November. I already shared my thought about rhinoplasty and now I think it’s time to write about rest of the surgeries I proceeded. My lower face was very wide with squared chin and too high forehead before the surgery. At first I thought eyes were my actual problem and got it done twice at another plastic surgery which still left me very dissatisfying. For some reason I think my eyes are still swollen, although I proceeded it more than a year ago. So, once I understood that eyes surgery didn’t make me any happier, I decided to fix the fundamental issue – face shape. A complete list of surgeries I proceeded at Banobagi: facial contouring, paranasal bone graft (a surgeon used my cut bone after facial contouring for paranasal bone graft) and nose job and forehead fat graft. To be honest, pre op I worried about lot of things – result, pain, damaged nerves etc. Hopefully, I wasn’t in lot of pain, numbness fades away everyday little by little. As for result, I think it’s still to early to say anything. So, hospitalization after the surgery was only 1 night. Swelling reached its peak on days 2 and 3. Washing hair on my own was impossible, so on day 5 I went to a hair salon for that. A week after I went for a regular check up with my doctors and some stitches removal. A nurse explained how to wear a band and right after I came back to hotel, I tried it on. Some people said that it hurts a lot, well…it didn’t for me, so I kept it for more than an hour. It was really difficult for me to go out without makeup, I was suggested to put it on a month after, but I was very impatient lol (did it very carefully). The rest of stitches were removed on week 2. The first month I had to follow a very-soft-food diet, now I’m trying to eat everything. Still have to be very careful but do feel that my recovery goes way faster than the average. Recently started to practice mouth opening. Updated on 30 Jan 2020: The main swelling subsides which made me really happy. Can you see the difference on my before and after now? I think facial lines became very defined and much smoother. By now I can eat almost everything without thinking, still practicing opening my mouth though… Dropped exercises few weeks after I started and faced some functional problems. When contacted Banobagi, was said to continue mouth exercises. I also think that gained some weight lately, so made a tight plan for dieting and exercising at gym, hope to lose some very soon lol. Although, main swelling went away my mouth still looks like full of candies but I think it makes me look even cuter.
Hi, probably like lot of you I have always struggled with what I considered to be asymmetrical and wide chin. I was 22 years old when finally decided to visit a plastic surgeon about my issue. My parents asked their friends in medicine for recommendations and it led me to South Korea. I found out about Dr Park a board-certified plastic surgeon in Seoul. At my consultation Dr Park seemed to be very down to earth, likably person. After listening to all my concerns he examined my cts and x-rays I took right before our consultation and then asked if I had ever considered cheekbone reduction. He pointed out to me that one of reasons why my chin looks so weak is because my cheekbone was a bit wider in terms of perfect facial proportions. He said that everything could be done through small incisions from the inside of my mouth. Although I wasn’t too scared of getting several procedures done altogether I needed some time to think about it. After mulling things over for a few days I called his office and scheduled my surgery. The total for both genioplasty and cheekbone reduction was $10,000 all in, including surgeon’s fee, anesthesia, postop care, follow ups, hospitalization, etc. etc. As my surgery day approached I had to have blood work done to make sure I was healthy and my body was ready for the upcoming surgery. Although, I’m young, I also had to go through a complete body checkup. On the day of my surgery I arrived an hour earlier to fill out some papers and was taken to my recovery room where I changed my clothes and washed my face. After that I met Dr Park again and headed to the operation room. After I was given an IV I remember pretty much nothing. Once I was awake I remember not being in any pain at all but extremely thirsty. A nurse said that I could drink only 4 hours later. I also found it quite difficult to talk or open my mouth so the first night was very difficult. Dr Shinki Park came back next morning saying that everything went great and that I needed to be careful with my chin and cheeks for the next couple of weeks. It was then time to go back to the hotel I stayed at. My recovery wasn’t easy at all. I’m still very swollen and quite embarrassed to go out. I stayed in Seoul 2 more weeks, had 2 followups with Dr and few laser anti-swelling treatments. Most of the time I’m trying to stay at home now as still don’t feel comfortable enough. I was told that would get better after few months still waiting for that. Updated on 27 Jan 2020: Over the next few months things improved greatly! Although, I was told that my recovery was on track it took me super long to get rid of swelling. I was told that it wasn’t usual yet quite fine after surgeries I got. Also, my chin was quite numb for about 3 months and just recently I began feel it. As 4 months went on I began to really like my face. Now I don’t feel uncomfortable to go out and I became more confident. I think that changes to my face were quite small but they gave a huge difference in my self-esteem. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr Park Shinki for having both chin surgery and cheekbone reduction. For me, now I realize it was well worth it. I’ve heard horror stories from people getting same procedures, so make sure to find right hands!
