The reviews on this site have been very helpful for me. I had a fat transfer done to my temples and jaw. Only swelled for 3 days, looks so natural and just what I wanted. He stored my extra fat and gave me a follow up appointment to touch up as well. Always very comfortable at his clinic
Found this website useful while researching, thought I’ll share my experience too:) I did my BA consult in June and was given some options by doc. He suggested full 375cc, but I was looking at something more conservative and smaller. Hence he showed me 340cc and 320cc. Then went to the fitting room to try a tight shirt and fitted the paddings in to see the look of 340cc and 320cc. The counter staff was helping me with the fitting and suggested I go for 340cc since there’s not much diff between the 2 and expect like 5-10% lesser because of the placement behind the muscles. I was then brought out to the waiting area and showed the fees breakdown as well as things to note prior to surgery. If I made my booking today ( 50% deposit of total amount ), the $160ish consultation fee will be waived. But I was still deciding so I paid for the consult fees and left. Sooo I got home and deliberated about it due to work commitments and all. Eventually, i made up my mind and decided to book for my surgery to be in October. Op day: Surgery at 3:30pm. Reported at 2.30pm, made the remaining payment then signed some consent forms. Went to room with nurse and booked removed all clothes except undies. She took pics. Doc came in to draw measurements on the chest. More photos taken. Then I went into the surgery room area where the anethesist introduced himself and told me what will happen later. The surgery bed was really warm and after the first IV , I was floaty alr. Before I know it, I was gone . Woke up and heard heart rate monitor beeping. Nurse came in to check on me after 10 mins or so from the moment I woke up. It’s about 5.30pm ( 2 hours after the start of surgery). Given some milo and biscuits and rested till I was ready to leave. Took dinner before eating anitiboitics + painkiller. I was sooo sleepy so I slept really early. Sleep was rather ok, I woke at 4am But managed to go back to sleep. Post op day 1: Middle of chest hurts. Top of chest hurts. Cannot breathe will so have to take shallow breaths. I had so much difficulty rolling up from the bed and I had to hold my bent legs and swing up down to get momentum to get up. And yes I can’t walk without hunching :( went for post op check , doc says all good. Nurse mentioned no need exercises. No post op bra required. No need to sleep elevated, can sleep on the sides too , as long as there’s cushioning pillow there and if it doesn’t hurt. No huge sudden arm movements too. Doc explained pain is natural and high boobs too. Told to return in 2 weeks to remove the bandage on the stitches. I don’t feel too comfortable with my boobs bare so I went to try some sports bra. Under armour offers 2 options with front zip and they were very comfy. Didn’t purchase yet because I want to look around other shops to see if there are others. Intending to buy 2/3 so when I go to work, I won’t be baring my chest too often. Post op Day 2 : I slept flat on the back. Then I woke up in the middle of the night because the sides were hurting a lot. I tried to sleep upright , like on airplane. It was comfortable on the back and boobs but my head keeps bobbing the the sides and created jerky Movements and wake me up. Then, I slept slightly elevated and I felt it was more comfortable than sleeping flat. Will update again maybe after 1 week, hope it starts dropping and fluffing ;))) Updated on 27 Oct 2022: Today I I felt great tightness but I did not eat any painkillers in the morning. The sides were hurting and so is the upper part. A small red blister bruise looking thing appeared below the right nip. Read up and it could be some sort of clot or tearing of something. A little worried but it doesn’t hurt .. Updated on 27 Oct 2022: Day 5: Today I I felt great tightness but I did not eat any painkillers in the morning. The sides were hurting and so is the upper part. A small red blister bruise looking thing appeared below the right nip. Read up and it could be some sort of clot or tearing of something. A little worried but it doesn’t hurt .. Day 6 post op: I popped a painkiller yesterday night and today I’m feeling very well, no pain at all. I am now able to have greater mobility in my arms. I realised whenever I walk, I can feel the boobs tightening and constricting , which can be painful. There’s also been electrifying/ tingling sensations around the front part of both sides. Contacted the clinic regarding there’s thingy. They told me to monitor or I can drop by tomorrow to get it checked. 1 week post op: Gonna try keeping away from painkillers. Been sleeping ok since day 4 ,never taken any sleeping pills in fact as I didn’t want to be reliant on them. Will visit the clinic later to just ensure that everything is fine :) Updated on 28 Oct 2022: Didn’t manage to see the doc yesterday due to some last min work. It’s fine , no itch or pain , so will monitor until my 2 week post op to remove the bandages. Attached some photos for reference ! They are still very high and squarish. Sleep has been well , can sleep through the night. Not taking any meds at the moment. Updated on 3 Nov 2022: Today is the 2nd week post op ! I went to see doc to remove the tapes stitches are healing fine, and a little itchy! Told to not peel and scratch as the scab will drop off by itself. Hopefully all will be well ;)) Generally my mobility has returned, with slight difficulty when reaching upwards. feels like I might tear the stitches. The stitches are quite low, so hopefully they can be covered by the fold. Updated on 5 Nov 2022: Forgot to mention earlier that the stitches were about 2.5cm and 3cm. I was also cleared for exercising, including jogging yay ! But when I tried to run for the bus yesterday for less than a few meters, I could feel slight pain. I guess I’ll hold off jogging for awhile still. Anyways, doc said he will see me after 2 weeks for my post op 1 month review. I’ll be shown how to fit a bra and some massages for the scar . Been also using the scar cream twice daily , one pump is sufficient for both stitches. Boobs are still high , but from the top they look rounder. Please drop and fluff soon so I can fit nicer bras and bralettes. Hoping to get some during the sales period !! Updated on 11 Nov 2022: Today is the 3rd day post op. Seems all good, nothing much to update. It’s been still riding high and scars are still raised. Will visit the doc next week for follow up to check the healing and learn down massages for the scars. Will be shown how to fit a bra too. Can’t wait ! Updated on 17 Nov 2022: Went to the doc today. He taught me to do massage on the scars : apply some pressure on the scar for 1-2 seconds 5 times , both morning and night. Then apply scar cream. He mentioned it’s normal that it’s raised because there are internal stitches dissolving as well. He said the boobs are softening and rounder at the bottom too. He said I can go for bra fitting alr as the projection is more or less fixed. It’s just that the boobs will drop more but the projection is there already. Shall go do some bra fitting and see the size ! Updated on 28 Nov 2022: Few days back, I noticed the right incision has a white portion at the end of the stitch. The surrounding skin is redder and tender. I did some research and found out that this is one way the body rejects new foreign objects. It mentions that there’s nothing to be of concern as it will eventually dissolve / drop. Therefore I didn’t contact the clinic. Today, I realised that portion is a bit more inflamed and filled with something white. I squeezed it a lil and there was some white yellowish pus oozing out.. not a lot tbh but eventually there was some blood. I stopped immediately. I’ve contacted the clinic but the doc is away and I hope to visit him asap . Will update again ! Praying hard all is well . The pic might not show much but it’s greyish and a bit swollen now.
Paying it forward here as the reviews here have really helped me with getting mentally prepared for the surgery. Had my BA done with Dr Shens on 19 October 2022. He gave me two options both by Motiva - 340 CC Demi and 400 CC full. Always envisioned natural looking breasts so I went with 340CC. Will share about my surgery day in my next post.
I'm exactly 1 more week to my scheduled surgery and will be documenting the journey here as there aren't that many Asian/SG stats for reference. I'd be as detailedas I found these posts particularly helpful in my research towards what I am looking for! - 33 year old Asian - Mom of 2, breastfed 2 years collectively. Currently 2 years post partum and 7months since I stopped breastfeeding - Asymmetrical breast due to mild scoliosis and my daughter had left boob preferance - Physique is top skinny but bottom heavy hence hoping BA will help me look more proportioned - Do not exercise but am the main caregiver for both kids so I reckon housework do amount to something :p Prepreg I was about a full A cup, breastfeeding period I ballooned to C and after BF I shrunk massively to a deflated A :( I honestly could never imagined my boobs could shrink even smaller than it originally was but it's possible! Terribly demoralised not being able to fill into clothes and was hoping my boobs would somehow revert; no luck! Decided to book a consultation (that was about 1.5weeks back) for BA. Session is like what many girls describe here - Dr Shen showed me some before and after, took my measurements as well as a 3d rendering of how my outcome would look like base on his recommendation (300cc & 355cc). He went through the different types of implants but I already made my mind on Motiva base on all my prior research. The nurse then takes you into another room to do a T shirt fitting with the implants, also mentioning the actual outcome would be about 10% smaller. Settled with 355cc but deep inside I kindda want it slightly larger? 375cc maybe? Dr Shen noted I had mild scoliosis on my left rib and I feel my asymmetrical breast is quite pronounced but somehow he feels it doesn't warrant a different sized implant. I didnt get to see him to clarify further after the fitting so I think I'd raise it up again on surgery day. For now I'm just counting down to exactly 7 more days before I get to be on the other side! Wish me luck:) Updated on 21 Dec 2021: 5 hours since I left the clinic and feeling a lot better to post an update! Surgery experience: Reached clinic about 10am, nurses prep all the medications before ushering me into the room to get changed and take some pre op photos. I got to see the actual implant inside the box with my details labelled to it so feeling very assured. Just to note my implants comes with QID which is a microtransponder (RFID chip). I did a quick research and it's MRI safe and few certification so no issues for me. Something to take note and as always do your own research! I know Motiva as the non QID version and if you do not wish to have that option it's probably better to voice out to your own doctor. Dr comes in to do markings and I confirmed implants would be placed under muscles. Voiced my concern about asymmetrical breast (attributed mostly to loose skin and mild scoliosis and not different amount of breast tissue/fat) and whether or not the same size implants would accentuate the problem rather than resolve it. He said it would make it much better and my scoliosis is not v apparent hence he still feels it doesn't warrant different sizing implant. So my takeaway was I may/may not have identical sisters but definitely close enough. Actual surgery was very smooth. Anesthetist comes in to explain the process. 1 jab through the hands, slightly drowsy, then then 2 jabs on each side of the chest and before I know it it's a good solid nap! Woke up with the expected tightness on the chest. Mothers who breastfed and had mastitis will know that engorge feeling! I was also shivering like crazy despite the nurses warming the bed I know it's probably my side effects from the painkillers or antibiotics because it was exactly what happened to me when I delivered my girl & had epidural. No biggie cus within 20 mins I was perfectly fine. I was given the Motiva warranty card (whoa! Talk about premium right?) which I am required to register via Motiva app. Clinic service: Really wonderful! I was given milo and crackers post surgery and never once felt rushed to leave. They gave me a lot of privacy and was responsive throughout. Thumbs up. Pain: The tightness/sore discomfort became quite unbearable for me as the hours went so I popped Tramadol and felt a lot better. I'm very thankful my husband is able to takeover caring for the kids because beyond standing and sitting, I feel completely incapacitated and it sucks. I have to constantly "fend" them off cus they are so used to headbutting my chest and me carrying them. At this point even pressing down the toilet flush button is a feat. Look of it: Sitting high and hard as to be expected. The left side (uneven side caused by scoliosis and loose skin) is looking quite odd for now cus the implant has not dropped to fill the loose skin. So excited for the drop and fluff!!! Updated on 22 Dec 2021: Pain is a lot worse this morning, coupled with the fact I had one of the worst sleep last night which made me qns why did I not take sleeping pills in the first place? Went to bed with nagging discomfort from upper chest and throbbing pain at lower half of breast and incision area. Took panadol and surprisingly it was more effective at cutting out the pain vs tramadol which is supposedly stronger. I parked myself in the living room to sleep on the recliner chair just to be away from the kids (we co sleep) cus they are all about roughhousing before bedtime and I wasn't gonna risk getting an implant punched out of place. No matter how much I tried I just couldn't get my self to sleep!! Woke up today and discomfort turned to overall throbbing pain. The pain migrated to the middle line of my chest and would feel sore and sensitive to touch!! I feel so much tightness and discomfort at my lower torso I can't decide if it's the pain from post op or cramps from moving myself up and down or I'm freaking bloated/constipated. In summary, pain pain and more pain. So happy to have my first post op review today to check if all these pains I'm having is normal (it is)? Rn I'm not even thinking about the drop & fluff; I'm just counting down to when all these discomfort will ebb :( Dr advise no big stretches exercise for now (opps, exactly what I did last night to try and "shake off" the tightness), and to dry the sealant wound tape immediately after shower. He did a quick check and all seems okay! Was also given 1 complimentary breast recovery therapy session at the adjacent room and it felt so relaxing. Can't stand completely upright today though I can still manage to wear my own shorts and do day to day activities. Sensation at upper half of breast is returning but the lower half is still relatively numb to touch. Boobs still looks almost the same so maybe more pics in a couple of days time! Updated on 23 Dec 2021: Wellbeing update: Had a semi great sleep last night finally! Popped a sleeping pill and had a solid 5 hour sleep until I was roused by gastric. Combination of not having any appetite (very bloated tummy!) and a cocktail of medications is definitely wrecking havoc with my gut flora so this morning I made it a point to include probiotic/ yogurt/ more water in my daily diet. Hence the first poop finallyyy. I'm still feeling extremely gassy inside with my tummy and all bloated and hard but at least appetite is returning. Had a steaming bowl of duck porridge for breakfast and scarfed it all down :p Also woke up today with shooting pains in my boobs that extended all the way to my back when I tried to roll myself out of bed and my whole body felt so tight. But when I started moving around throughout the day it got better so maybe this is what they call "morning boob"? Overall pain and discomfort is a heck lot better, say 40% less than the day before? Upper chest tightness is almost gone and so is the soreness running down the middle of my chest. The pain at the side of boobs, lower and incision area is still quite apparent but very much more manageable that I didn't pop any painkillers today *knock on wood* More sensation returning to breast yayy I can feel my nipples today! Lower bit still numbish Breathing still laborious and I still find myself drawing long breaths each time I talk. Unable to stand fully upright still and I suspect that's also what's causing my upper back soreness. Look: Still too to say but yeah Frankenboob won't be gone anytime soon hahah. Hard, high, square, extemely compact; basically I'm carrying 2 bricks in my chest. My left boob is more prominently flat from the side angle but I know I gotta be patient. The right side is beautifully rounded though! Not sure if it's just my muscles easing and me feeling less pain but I do feel it dropped slightly idk? Updated on 24 Dec 2021: First off, it's Christmas eve and how awesome it is to wake up today feeling better than ever? In fact I've been out and about shopping and eating the entire day! Most of the discomfort mentioned earlier seemed to magically roll off with last night's sleep (I've so far been sleeping elevated) and I can safely say I'm about 80% back on form. I only feel occasion pain in my breast/incision area and even if those episodes are far and in-between. Chest tightness has eased up so much more and I only feel the tightness-stretch at my upper chest whenever I walk or straighten my posture. As a result I'm still constantly fixed in a hunch position which I think is the main reason why my dominant aches are located in the shoulder and lower back area. Zero painkillers today! Breathing is better though I still do heave a little especially when I'm walking and talking. I can do shallow coughs with no pain and better arm mobility though at this point I still can't tie my own hair. Feeling very positive about my healing process and despite not doing any post BA arm exercises like what I commonly read about (as advised by Dr not to do any big arm stretches) I think being mobile helps. Nothing strenuous or anything beyond normal capacity but getting up and moving around constantly throughout the day helps I feel? I actually felt worse (more discomfort and pain) being stationary which would quickly ease when I took slow intermittent walks around the house. Tummy still bloated, mostly after meals, but definitely better than day 1 po. Plain greek yogurt helps ease the gassiness and I've been downing more water than usual too to ease bloating. I started taking showers too but had to be extra careful not to soap water get to the incision area so bath time becomes quite a tedious multiple process: 1. Wash face, brush teeth first 2. Use damp washcloth to wipe upper half of body 3. Step into shower, wash lower half body 4. Overturn head and flip hair down to wash without having water run down chest 5. Dry body wound area and hair immediately after Updated on 25 Dec 2021: I'm nearly back to full form! Only experiencing sporadic shooting pains in side of boobs, otherwise no discomfort at all in incision or general tightness. I can do deep breaths and talk with ease! Have not tried sleeping on my back so will continue continue to stay elevated till after my first week po. I'm nearly certain my boobs did drop a little but it really could just be me hahaha. The biggest change is my cleavage coming in closer together!! I thought it was my eyes playing trick on me but when I took photo for comparison, it is indeed so :) Updated on 26 Dec 2021: Woke up this morning and as always will feel my upper chest to gauge how high implants are sitting and at day 6 po I could for the first time feel an ever so gentle slope! Did a photo comparison with day 2 po: - left Frankenboob with a very flat side profile is starting to round itself up - nipples which where pointing downwards right after op is now straight - overall boobs appear more rounded, though still sitting relatively high It's hard to take great comparison photos because I dont get much light in my home but dropping some anyways (with image contrast adjusted for clarity) Updated on 7 Jan 2022: Not much drop or change in shape has happened since day 6po so no comparison pics! Had my bandage removed on day 14 and the wound looked darkish. Was worried I’d end up scarring so diligently applied scar gel 2x a week and it seems to lighten considerably? I’ve never used a scar cream before so I’m not sure if all works the same but the one I’m using is purchased from my doctor’s clinic and I’m genuinely amazed. I should have taken pics of the healing process before and after though! But here’s one at day 17po and let’s see fast it would lighten the scar even more! I’m also loving how small the scar line is!!! Indeed he is known for his short incision skills :D
Basic stats: 32A, 159cm/5.2ft, 56kg, BWD 11.5 I have always wanted some boobs since I was 18. It's difficult to find bras that cup over the boobs nicely and even so, sometimes there are gaps in between. Flat chested girls would know what I'm talking about! Always feel like I can pass off as a high school student even though I'm in my late 20s. So on this crazy day... I finally took the courage to schedule an appointment with Shens clinic! I selected him because he does small incisions (about 2.5cm!) and specialises in natural looking boobs! :P Dr Shen and his staff were super friendly. Took time to walk me through and explained the types of implants available, risks involved, questions I had and did a shirt fitting with the some fillets. Was told to shave 10% to 15% off as the actual would appear slightly smaller if we are going under the muscles. I also got to see how it would look like on me from a visualisation program called Crisalix (I think?). They did a 3D scan of my upper body prior to that. So I'm getting a 355cc Motiva Ergonomix (high profile based on my BWD of 11.5), under the muscles, breast fold incision! Hope to achieve a C cup from it! Hopefully it won't be too big as I would like to look natural. Wish me luck! Attached some pictures on how my 32A boobies look like now before I say goodbye to them in a few days! So excited! Updated on 15 Oct 2020: A few more pre-op photos to share with all of you! Bought new clothes! This is one of the issues I usually face - large gaps under my arms hahahahaa. Photos were rather dark so I tried to brighten it. My op is tomorrow! Can't wait!! Updated on 16 Oct 2020: Just did it this morning! Was put on IV and had drugs injected to prevent nauseousness after the op due to the anaethesia. Anaethetist asked if I was prone to motion sickness and I said yes. He also injected 2 times in my back and was told they will flip me over but before I knew it I was gone. LOL. I woke up feeling very tight in my chest in the recovery room but pain level is maybe a 2/10? They added heater to my bed so I wouldnt feel cold. :) Was also given glucose to drink because had to fast the night before to perform anaestesia. Tasted like the yummiest thing on earth LOL. Due to the tightness in the chest area above the boobs actually, not at the incision, I had to do shallow breaths so it's more comfortable. Felt groggy and slightly giddy after the op so it's good to have someone to bring you home after that. Otherwise, the clinic will see u into the grab before leaving. Slept all the way home. After I reached home, I slept too but woke up maybe every hour (due to discomfort) and did the exercises that they recommended. Recommended to do every hour or as long as you feel tightness in the chest. Hope the pain/discomfort goes away soon. Oh I couldn't get up from lying straight in the recovery room. Best to sleep propped up for a while. Updated on 17 Oct 2020: Woke up at about 6am with terrible pain (maybe a 8/10?) in my left under the armpits. A little numb in that area too. Couldn't lift my left hand until I had my painkillers. Kept on burping too and my stomach was making squishy watery funny sounds. Doc said it was due to the antibiotics and to eat more food before eating meds (I ate a little?). Hope I won't end up with gastric. Went nearby to shop a little but was tired after maybe 3hrs. My poor husband has to bring me home after that. What a wet blanket. Felt like I'm gonna tear my stitches when I do my stretches?? Hope the pain and numbness goes away soon. Updated on 17 Oct 2020: I'm a back sleeper but can't seem to sleep well these few days. Was sleeping flat btw cos it's not fun to sleep upright. Reminds me of long plane rides where your tailbones hurt after that. Doc did prescribe sleeping pills but trying not to touch it. It's 4am now. Woke up not due to pain this time back discomfort from sleeping too straight on my back. Had what many call morning boobs from not using the muscles for an extended period of time. People who exercise will know that feeling when you first wake up from an intense exercise on the day before. Manage to sit up from the bed myself today! Did not know that could be an achiecement hahaha. Had to rest about 10 mins before I could move after the pain from the morning boobs went away. Did some stretching exercises after. Gonna try sleeping again. Goodnight world. Updated on 19 Oct 2020: Woke up with morning boobs again but today, I think the muscle spasm/cramp under my armpits were shorter. Think it's getting better, slowly but surely? Haha Managed to take a bath with assistance on day 2 as I couldn't reach above my head. Day 3 I could gently scrub my hair but still didn't have enough strength to dry my hair with the towel. My stretches were significantly better on day 3. There were 3 exercises that I had to do. First was to place your hands straight, palms down in front of you and lift them skywards. When straight, the elbows should be near the ears. Repeat 5 times. Second was to fold your arm perpendicular to the body and parallel to your shoulders and try to lift your elbow upwards. Repeat 5 times. The last exercise is to rest the arms beside your body and try to bring the shoulder blade together, so kinda like a chest stretches? Repeat 5 times too. On day 1, I could only lift up to 45 degrees for the first exercise. By day 3, I could nearly reach the ears. The area under and at the sides of my boobs are slightly numb. Nipples too. Trying to eat more proteins to hopefully speed up recovery :P OH I HAD MY FIRST POOP TODAY AFTER SO MANY DAYS. Digestive system is finally working normal now. A pic of the boobs today, looks similar to yesterday's? Still quite squarish though but they will drop. People who had kids will drop faster because the skin and muscles would have been stretched before. So I guess mine will take a while. Oh btw I have mild scliorosis (is that how u spell it). One of my boob is higher than the other so that explains why my nipple looks uneven here. The doc tried to level out the baseline so they will look great with bikinis / bras :) and also so I wont have one side better supported by bras than the other side. Apparently when it's bigger, one can feel the difference. Didn't make much of a difference to me cos I was so small previously. What else did I miss? I'll update again when I think of more stuff! Updated on 19 Oct 2020: I finally slept through the night without waking up! Woke up with morning boobs but the cramps were shorter hehe. Can't wait for morning boobs to be a thing of the past. Wonder how long it would take? And I can finally stretch enough to don a tshirt (my old tshirt instead of an oversized one) :P No pics today because I think they look the same. Right boob haven't been hurting since yesterday. It feels like it has always been a part of me. BUT my left side of left boob have been hurting still. Feel like the muscles haven't totally stretched to accommodate the extra volume. Still a little swollen? Hope it becomes painless like the right soon, hehehe. Breathing has become easier. I can now take in deep breaths without feeling like my muscles gonna get torn apart. Had been taking shallow breaths for the first 3 days? Felt like I've been diving for days while trying to maintain my trim. If you geddit. LOL. I still feel breathless though if I walk and talk at the same time with my mask on. Updated on 21 Oct 2020: Achievement unlocked! This morning, I could roll to my side to get off from my bed! For the past few days, I have been grabbing at my bent knees and rolling forward (and therefore the muscle spasm at the armpits for a few minutes after that due to overuse). Weirdly enough, my morning boobs today were at both nipples?? Think my boobs look less squarish today :)) took a side view today since my arms could stretch a looot better now. The top is gradually sloping off woohoo. Got off all meds today. Updated on 22 Oct 2020: Woke up at 4am today, due to sore back from lying straight for a prolonged period of time (8th day). Hope I will be able to flip to my sides soon. Decided to relocate to my sofa to continue my sleep today. Felt a lot better cos it could be lowered to an angle and is more cushiony :P Updated on 23 Oct 2020: Day 8 night: For the whole of today, my chest felt tighter than yesterday. Not sure why? Does it go back and forth? Back still sore from this morning from sleeping on my back. From yesterday, my nipples had random electrifying sensations for short periods. Read that it its good news. It means the nerves are still intact and they are trying to heal from being overstretched. Just realised today that I have been hunching slightly from the tightness of my chest. Need to remind myself to stand straight to alleviate my shoulder ache. Updated on 24 Oct 2020: Just found out my painkillers were also anti-inflammatory drugs. Felt very tight today too, and boobs becoming a little warm? I think I'll continue eating my painkillers for a few more days although the pain is bearable, to prevent inflammation. Having inflammation is the last thing anyone would ever want because it causes a lot of complications. Left nipple still having random sensations once in a while. Updated on 26 Oct 2020: Today was a tiring day. My first time post op carrying a work bag and a laptop bag commuting an hr to work and back. Chest muscles felt tight while I walked with the additional weights but not painful. Boobs feels warm from using my muscles all day. My left nipple doesnt have the electrifying sensation anymore. Hope it stays that way! Maybe it started because I accidentally exerted strength to stop someone from slipping. I'm not sure. Prob pulled a muscle and nerve that day. Hahahaa. Took pictures to mark my day 11 and a video! Not sure if it will load up properly. Skin is not as shiny and tight as day 1 anymore, just a teeny weeny bit more stretchy? Considering I didnt have boobs before, didn't have much skin to stretch to begin with. Still sitting quite high and hard, but not as hard as day 1 too. Can't wait for them to soften up more and compare it to this video. Updated on 26 Oct 2020: Just recalled on the first few days, I could feel my chest swell all the way up to my left armpits, sometimes causing my left hand to be slightly numb. Got better a few days after. Now I'll just feel swollen on my sides only if I sleep on my back. The implants tend to slide sidewards coupled with inactive muscles in the night... Horrible. I've been sleeping upright past couple of days and it feels so much better. Easier to get off the bed too. Updated on 28 Oct 2020: Tmr will mark my 2 weeks with boobs! I think as the skin and muscles stretches, the sides of my boobs, esp the left boob, doesn't hurt as much anymore. Maybe it's also because I've been sleeping upright for the past few days so it didn't spill into the sides? It has also been easier to breathe too, and I'm able to take in deep breaths without feeling my right chest gonna tear up. Still hurts when I sneeze or coughs. Also don't feel as much of the implants moving / being flattened as I did my stretches. But my underboob feels especially numb when I walk due to the vibrations. Haha weird sensation. Read that they will start appearing natural from the 3 month mark. So essentially, an easy gauge would be 1% completed for each day passed. That makes me 13% otw to great boobs! P since I haven't had kids, I will prob need to give them more time to drop and fluff cos skin is tighter. Can't wait to have my waterproof tapes removed. Hope the scars are not too bad cos I tend to have dark scars (I get tanned easily as I have lots of dark pigments). Updated on 29 Oct 2020: 2 weeks! Nothing much to update. Just realised while I was reflecting, the soreness used to be the whole chest area above the nipples. At that time, I also felt like the swell was all the way to my armpits, had to massage my armpits occasionally. Today, it's more of the area below the nipples. My sides dont hurt as much anymore. Just that I can feel a bulge on each side when I lift my arm, where my arms rub against the sides of my body. Lolol. Do people with boobs feel that bulge? Wondering if they will soften and maybe not feel it anymore? Updated on 29 Oct 2020: So after sleeping on an inclined position for many days, I decided to try sleeping flat on my back last night. How was it? When I lied down, I could feel the Motiva implants flattening out upwards and sideways, almost to the area near my armpits. It sat really high, like how it was on day 1. Felt a little achy maybe because those areas are not that stretchy yet. My boobs definitely felt flatter than if I were upright haha. Very natural? Decided to ignore it and slept. When I woke up, my armpits were slightly sore but bearable. I could use my arms unlike day 1. When I sat upright, I could feel the muscles at the bottom of my boobs starting to stretch (Motiva changes shape to teardrop, rmb?) so it was painful. Morning boobs. But the pain only lasted for a few minutes before it turned into just feeling sore. By 1 hour, the sore completely disappeared as they settle into their usual positions. Updated on 31 Oct 2020: In case anybody was wondering why sometimes there's a difference of 2 days between what is indicated by the system and my title. That happens when I post in the mornings due to time difference. I regarded post op day 1 as my op day cos I did mine in the morning :) Anyway, last night, I laughed so much my whole chest muscles felt soooo sore and tight. Similar to if I overexerted myself. And it was already controlled laughter... It got better the next morning, but still felt rather sore. Only felt more normal at night. I went to the docs and removed my bandages today! After 2 weeks of trying not to drench them in sweat. Now I can sweat all I want without worrying about an infection. Also bought a scar gel which supposed to last for 6 months wow. Here's a pic of the scars after 2 weeks. Slightly raised with scabs, but Im not supposed to rub them off. Incisions are small, hope they heal well hehe. My left side which used to hurt more doesn't hurt anymore and I think left boob dropped slightly. Now it's the right side that feels tighter (morr obvious when I do my stretches) and still sits high. Updated on 2 Nov 2020: Bottom of right boob near the incision area have been very tight past few days, especially when I lie down. Felt like it's overly stretched when I'm in a horizontal position. It's not that bad when I'm upright, as long as I do my stretches. So guess what, back to sleeping in an inclined position. Hope it loosens up soon. Boobs are still high, but I think the bottom of the left boob has a slight curve now? It's rounder when viewed from the top too. Right boob is tight, so it's still a little pointy when viewed from the top and boxy from the sides. What do you think? Have been applying scar gel twice a day, so hopefully it lightens the scar? The scar looks a little low, not sure if they will be hidden by the crease when they finally drop. Hopefully they do! Updated on 2 Nov 2020: Missed out one photo! If anybody noticed the red spots under the right boob, they were rashes that developed towards the end of my 2 weeks with bandages. Probably from having the adhesive stuck on for too long hahah. Updated on 3 Nov 2020: Ate 1 ibuprofen last night and pain subsided. But I still slept upright yesterday and woke up from discomfort every 2 hours. Today, while I was applying my scar gel, something ooozeeeed out! It's at the site which had been hurting since Mon. An infection? Should I be concerned? Updated on 4 Nov 2020: Went back to the doc and doc plastered up the incision site on my right boob again. Also got prescribed 2 types of antibiotics. Guess it's an impending infection. Go away infection it hurts. Im guessing perhaps soap got into the site which might not have fully healed. It hurts so much I can't lie down flat and cant do my stretches as well as last week. Deprovement this week. Updated on 4 Nov 2020: Morning update. I can almost do my stretches now. Not as painful as yesterday. Morning boobs chest muscles are tight but not painful across, usually loosens up after an hour. Will update again on my right boob's progress. Updated on 7 Nov 2020: Went to the doc to change my dressing today. Doc also squeezed out the infected area today and it felt muchhhh better. I can stretch better now without feeling my right underboob gonna split. Hope it stays that way. I can finally sleep flat on my bed tonightt. Hopefully I wont wake up every hour from pain. I dont think so. My much needed sleep. Fingers crossed. For those who are wondering, I feel like my left side / arm / chest almost regained its full mobility. I can already circle my arms and do not feel much chest tightness anymore. Updated on 9 Nov 2020: Went to the doc today to thoroughly clean my wound under sedation (so I don't feel it and I don't see it). Hope the infection doesn't come back anymore. Prescribed with the same 2 antibiotics for 1 week to last until I go back for my review again. Go away infection go away. To recall, m first 2 weeks post op when I was still wrapped with bandages was all good. No discharge nothing. My bandages were clean and white. So I'm quite sure something must have went wrong right after the bandages was removed but not sure what. Maybe my incision recovery was slower than others so substances seeped in while I was bathing / the scar gel that I was applying seeped into a miniscule hole that is not obvious to the visible eyes? Who knows. Speedy recovery to myself. Updated on 27 Nov 2020: Hello! Haven't been updating recently! Was busy with... read on and you'll know. Haha. Today is 1 month and 12 days post op! Both boobs have dropped well and rounded off at the sides too! My left boob dropped first, so there was no more morning boobs at about... 3 weeks post op? My right boob only dropped recently, at about 5 weeks post op, guess the feeling of morning boobs is due to the expansion of muscles, especially the bottom of the boobs. 1 month ago (post ops 2 weeks), I had an infection on the incision site of my right boobs right after removing the bandages that were covering the area. Was guessing it was due to soap while I was bathing or application of scar gel when my incisions haven't completely closed, even though they may look closed? Just my guess! So anyway, in the past 1 month, I had been dealing with the infection. Went back to the doc to have my wound cleaned, prescribed with antibiotics for 2 weeks and went back to the doc once every 2 days to change the dressing due to the discharge. The infection cleared up after 2 weeks. Just went back to the docs a few days ago to do a restitch to fix up and beautify the scar so it heals nicer and better. Hopefully it heals well this time round! I was able to sleep on my sides and have been turning comfortably in my sleep since around post op 5 weeks. No more muscle aches when I lie down due to the movement of Motiva implants (changes shape according your position). I am also able to lift slightly heavier weights now without my chest muscles cramping up. Yay. Updated on 29 Nov 2020: Finally got down to taking some photos hahaha. So the one with bandages is my right boob that's still healing from the restitch. So from my previous post, I mentioned the boobs have dropped well and is not as high and squarish anymore. Since it's only 1 month, it will continue dropping till about 3 months before slowing down, hope they will look even better by then!! Theybhave also rounded off at the sides. Previously, my right boob were flat to the touch on the sides. Boobs are also slightly more jiggly now, not as hard as before, hope it will become even more jiggly at 3 months! Can't wait! A few pics from different angles to compare. Updated on 29 Nov 2020: Photos failed to upload. Let me try again. Text requires 200 characters I'm just typing rubbish here to fulfil the requirement. Photos from different angles as well as a side by side comparison 19 days vs about 6 weeks. Updated on 12 Dec 2020: Took off the bandage from my restitch 2 weeks ago this morning! Tbh, the restitch didn't really hurt. The pain level is like 5% of post op day 1. I didn't even take any pain killers. So I concluded most of the pain from BA actually came from the soreness of our muscles being stretched. Just had a bathe and I took extra care not to get soap onto that area. Not sure if it's fully healed so just taking extra extra precautions. Hahaaaa.. Hope I won't get an infection again! Touch wood! Doc told me I can start putting my scar gel but nope... I'm gonna wait a week or two before doing that cos ya know maybe I heal slower than other people? I mean whats the rush, right? FINGERS CROSSED! Anyway, had been feeling some just a teeny weeny bit stretches / sores at the underside of my left boob. Was wondering maybe cos the boobs are still in the process of dropping so that area is still stretching? My logic hahahaa. It doesn't really hurt u just feel like there's something, it's like a 0.1 out of 10. Bought lots of clothes today from 12.12 sales. I can't wait to try on my new clothes when they arrive!! Hehehee. Updated on 17 Dec 2020: Technically speaking, my right boob incision is 3 weeks old due to the restitch cos of the infection I had. Attached some pictures of my scars left boob 2 months old and right boob 3 weeks old (with scabs). Great for comparison of scar progress. I think the left boob scar has lightened quite a bit, not too bad for an asian who tend to have dark pigmentation, isn't it! Had been applying scar gel whenever I rmb to LOL. Oh, and previously at 2wpo I mentioned the incision sites appear raised, not anymore! Apparently, it was due to the stitches dissolving. Overall, my boobs have become more jiggly, even more so if I bend over! And I think the shape is a lot more natural now. Not shiny and hard anymore. Loving it. Attached a video for you girls to see! I think due to the infection I had, my right boob crease is not at the incision line anymore? It still looks normal in the pictures but it is more obvious when I slouch on a chair. When my fats fold hahahahaa. Ya know? The scar is slightly higher now above the crease because there's some kind of hardened area below the incision site where the infection used to be? Anybody had that before? Hope it will go away with time. Otherwise, I dont think it will be visible to others even in bikinis anyway. Updated on 27 Dec 2020: I accidentally slept on my left boob 2 days ago and woke up with slightly sore underboobs hahaaa. The soreness has since gone away. Decided to post a pic of my drop and fluff process because that's what I usually interested in in other people's posts! Also posted pics of the healing process of my scars after the bandages were removed for Asians who may have darker pigments like me! Went for my review 2 days ago and turns out doc said I had some allergic reaction to one of the stitches so my incision site didn't heal properly and became inflammed the other time. Doc also cleared me for bras so I went to try some but they felt weird hahahahaa. When I was flatter, I had limited choices since some bra series don't even carry my size! Gonna explore a bit and see what's pretty! Updated on 31 Mar 2021: Hello girls! Haven't updated in a while! My stitches that actually looked like a fish line on my right boob which underwent a restitch due to allergies finally fell off totally after about... 2 months! They looked so much better than they were at 2 months! I think they dropped and rounded off at the bottom pretty well! Previously it looked more pointy / V shaped? Don't you think so? I havent worn a bra much in the paste 5 months. Maybe less than 5 times. Just been using pasties or padded tops! Have attached some photos for comparison. Some of you asked, I did under-the-muscles, which would probably look more natural than over-the-muscles, especially if you have thin skin and reduce chances of rippling. But for girls who lift, under-the-muscles are not suitsble. Updated on 3 Mar 2022: Haven't updated for a while, thought to give an update! Love my boobs now, they have dropped beautifully! You can see from the photos comparing earlier pictures, the top flattened off vs slightly curvy last time, and bottom curved out beautifully vs flatter last time! For those who read my previous posts, I had a bad infection due to allergy to stitches on on side of the boobs. As a result, I had to do a re-stitch. I have also done a comparison on how my scars have developed. Because I am asian, I tend to have darker pigment and so were my scars. After the 1 year review, Dr Shen gave me a complimentary laser lightening treatment and am still on it! Think there are multiple sessions which are done in 6 weeks interval. Cant wait to see how much the scars will lighten! Lovely Dr! Last session, he also noticed that the side which had the bad infection was slightly raised so he gave me an injection to flatten it out. Lovely! And another bonus for those who are curious how real or fake Motiva implants are, I also did a video to show how they look when squeezed.
I noticed I have this strain at my forehead recently and after observing a while, I notice I tend to raise my brows to look at things at eye level. I have monolids and my eyelids tend to push my lashes downwards and hangs over my eyes. While chatting to a friend about it, she told me she has a friend who recently went to Dr Shen for some eyelid procedure and commended Dr Shen is really good at his work with eyelids. This friend also works as an anaesthetist on a freelance basis for Dr Shen. With good comments coming from a doctor, I just went ahead and contacted Dr Shen's clinic and arranged for a consultation. The consultation went pretty quick, in which I was checked and told I do not have ptosis. I asked to enlarge my eyes because I feel my vision is being blocked and Dr Shen recommended a brow lift where he cuts at the brow line. I think I made a face and he then suggested the non incisional DST method whereby he can create a double crease and this can open up my eyes. He went ahead and demonstrated how the double crease will look on my eye with the prong for eyelid tape. At that demo, I felt that my eyes are still puffy and hooded with the low double crease created and I guess I wasn't that sure. I further asked if my lashes will be lifted up and out from my eyes if I do DST, Dr Shen confirmed it can be done and that gave me abit of motivation. He also showed some pictures of before and after of his patients. Considering that I can get rid of the forehead strain, improve my stick down eyelashes and heavy hooded lids and maybe end up with brighter and larger eyes without having to go under the knife, sounds like a good deal. So I signed up. My procedure will be coming Monday and I am still anxious if I have made the right choice. I will keep you guys posted on my procedure as well as my recovery process. Stay Tuned! Updated on 22 Jun 2020: I had a totally positive experience on the day of my procedure! 2pm checked in as instructed. Went through indemnity form, paid my balance and was given my medication (painkiller, ointment and supplement pills to promote fast recovery). I was told to take a pill for the fast recovery first. While going through the paperwork, the lady at the reception was helpful in answering my questions. With paperwork almost done, I went in to take the "before" pictures with a nurse. After that I went into another room to do marking of eyelids by another nurse. This nurse was meticulous when measuring and marking my eyelids. She checked my eyes and then she started to demonstrate to me the "after look" of the surgery. She was honest and candid in her response to my queries. She confirmed my crease height to be about 7-8mm, helped me mark my outer crease line to be slightly higher to give a "lifted look" post surgery and lo and behold, she told me my lids are to be parallel! I have always thought my crease should be tapered due to my eye shape and told her so, she was very nice to actually demonstrate to me what a tapered crease will look like on me and yep.. no go for tapered crease for me. The conversation with her gave me alot of assurance that I am in good hands and I am satisfied and happy with the proposed crease height and shape. After her marking is done, Dr Shen came to do the final check on the markings and made some of his own and I was sent to the procedure room. 3pm I was on the procedure table and given numbing eyedrops. Ard 5 minutes or so later, Dr Shen came in to do the LA jab on my lids. This is the part which I have read is the most painful part of the whole procedure and I was definitely apprehensive! But amazingly, I didn't feel anything on my right eye, probably a prickling kind of sensation for every jab (2 in a scale of 1 to 10 where 10 is super painful). My left eye, however was abit more sensitive and I would rate my pain level around 4. So I think I counted about 8 jabs per eyelids (4 outer and 4 inner) before the doctor left for the LA to work their magic. 315pm Dr Shen returned with the nurse who did my marking and started making punctures on my eyelids (I am assuming this based on the sensation on my lids tho there was no pain) and started flipping my lids and stitching. I must admit there is no pain, just the tugging of my lids and the discomfort I feel everytime the lids are tugged up and my eyes see the glare of the bright surgical lights above. My right eye was done first and the doctor finished it real quick! Before long, I hear the nurse counting 1-2-3-4-5 about 3 to 4 times? and then he moved on to my left eye. Left eye is definitely the sensitive one, I can feel the needle and slight soreness and it's definitely not a nice feeling and I mentioned to the doctor. He told me my left is likely more sensitive and then he asked me to relax and not to tense up so as to minimise bruising. Thank goodness for his alert and I immediately tried to relax. But its not easy to try to relax with the glaring light and discomfort on my left eyelid. Anyways, he spent abit more time with this left eye. I noticed after the counting by the nurse and the stitches were cut, the doctor spent some more time working on my left eyelid before he left. And I am done! I was given cold compress for 5min before being guided back to the changing room and then the reception area. 340pm I am all done and waiting at the reception area where the lady asked me to take another of the supplement pill for fast recovery! Wow so fast!!! So while I am trying to absorb the reality of what just happened! I took the chance to take the pictures below. Swollen lids yes.. but I don't look that bruised up Haha! I hope my recovery will be well and hopefully the end results will be nice. Review with the doctor is in 7 days! Updated on 23 Jun 2020: Pictures of eyes 1 day after surgery. Can see blue black on my left eye, suspect that is where I tensed up and the doctor told me to relax. I wonder what happened :S Eyes very swollen today. Been icing them hourly for 5mins. Updated on 24 Jun 2020: Eyes not as swollen anymore, no pain. Icing whenever I can remember. I still can't look up comfortably, there is tension on the eyelids. Yesterday was definitely the peak in terms of discomfort and swollen eyes. I could even feel something rubbing against my eyeballs whenever I blink last night. The sensation has lessen alot today. Last night I slept like normal, didn't even prop myself higher (I read we should propped up our heads when we sleep and sleep facing up to bring down the swelling faster.) So far so good... still can't tell the end results yet but I am happy with the recovery to date. Updated on 1 Jul 2020: I went for 7 day review with doctor just this Monday and was recommended to buy an anti scar gel which I am supposed to dab on the lids. Was told to stop applying the earlier ointment. I can start exercising again! YEAH! When I close my eyes, I can still see the suture line and there is this reddish brown blood clot that has descended down from my suture line to edge of my eyelids since Day 2 post surgery. Doctor said do not rub or massage the blood clot area, just wait for the body to get rid of it naturally. And that's it... doctor says recovery is looking good, just apply the anti scar gel and the suture lines will disappear in 2 months time and I am good to go. I was then scheduled to return for a 3 week review. However, that evening itself, as I was dabbing my lids with the gel, I felt a small bump on my right inner corner lid. When I applied abit more pressure, at the middle of the bump I felt something like the blunt end of a wire. Was concerned, so I took a picture and sent to the clinic and asked. The clinic replied the next morning that it should be the suture knot and I should not press on it. Am told to continue to ice my eyes whenever I can to quicken the reduction of the swelling and this bump. And it's kinda interesting that they end the text with saying "All is Well". Well, at least I am assured I didn't break a suture or what not. Phew! I must say I am impressed with the recovery so far, no redness, itch etc. Just swollen eyes on Day 1 and 2 and after that the swelling slowly goes down. I was able to look up by Day 7 without much difficulty. Now at Day 10 tho I still feel slight tightness when I look up, the strain isn't as much anymore. Am back to my regular exercises but just got to remember to dab away the sweat instead of rubbing away :) Updated on 17 Jul 2020: This is my Day 25 picture. I still feel slight strain around my eyes when I try to look up. I suspect there is still slight swelling. I have 3 things I would like to ask anyone who has done the stitching (TST) method or a doctor who does this procedure. 1. I observe my eyelids are super swollen every morning when I wake. Is it water retention or? The swell reduces by late morning. Any concerns? 2. On certain days or nights, I feel irritation in my right eye, no pain, just those slight discomfort and itch that would make you tear if you don't give your eye a good rub? So I am wondering if its the suture knots or whatnot that is the cause. So tempted to rub my eye but got to stop myself. Anyone felt this before? Is it normal or is there something wrong with my suture of my right eye? I don't feel this on my left eye at all. 3. On Day13, I noticed a new blue black bruise above the suture line of my right eyelid (see pic). I took a picture and sent to check with the clinic and was told it's fine and that I must avoid rubbing my eyes which I haven't done so. I was also told that if I were taking supplements, it would slow down my recovery too! Anyone know why? 4. if anyone has the same experience as what I described above and can let me know why or how you rectify them. Please let me know here. Thanks lots!
