Subcision is the process by which a depressed scar is "snapped" from under the skin. This loosens the scar and lifts it up. Filler afterwards helps to further lift the depression and create a smoother skin texture. This is a great combination of treatments for acne scarring.
Fillers in the hands of an experienced injector will look natural. I recommend hylaluronic acid fillers (HA). HA is a naturally-occurring sugar molecule that is already in your body, so it looks smooth and natural. After injections, there may be some swelling and bruising. Avoiding medications that thin your blood will reduce the risk of bruising. I often use blunt-tipped cannulas to avoid bruising. For first-time filler patients, I recommend a 2 week follow up to ensure to see how the filler "settled".
From your pictures, this appears to be your natural hairline since you still have hair in front of the temples. I can see where this may be perceived as thinning. If your actual hair was thicker than it is now, then you are thinning. May times, when people have dense, thick hair, thinning is less noticeable to strangers. I always ask patients to look at old photos and compare them to a current photo. This is the best way to determine if your hair is thinning.
Hey Lilmer, it is absolutely perfect to have CoolSculpting before surgery. After surgery, you may need to wait 3 months, to allow a surgical scar to heal completely before CoolSculpting. With laparascopic procedures, this tends to be less of a concern. Before is always better. I hope that helps. I wish you all the best! Dr. St. Surin
