Best Aesthetic doctor I’ve ever had. This is my third time coming to Dr Guiteau and I can simply say that my experience is always making. Will definitely recommend him to anyone that wants to get fillers. Thank you Dr Guiteau
Hello, Thank you for your question. You have asked a general question to a lot of providers and will probably get a variety of responses since everyone's technique, experience, and skill level can vary in regards to aesthetic procedures. There is no right or wrong answer and this area is truly where medicine meets art. There is also a range in cost for these procedures and so I am not exactly sure how important the cost of these different procedures are for you. Lastly, I am also not sure what other medical conditions, allergies, or prior surgeries you may have had so I will assume you have no prior history of any of these for simplicity. I can only speak from my experience as it relates to your nonsurgical options as a provider who specializes in Neurotoxins (like Botox), Dermal Fillers, PRP, micro-needling, and PDO threading. Based on the photos you provided I think you may benefit from neurotoxin for forehead wrinkles, crows feet, and frown lines between the eyebrows. The sooner your start, the more likely you are to prevent the progression of wrinkles in these areas. If you were open to using dermal fillers I would consider augmenting the area around your cheekbones to add a subtle lift and enhance the volume of the area around your midface. In aesthetics, we sometimes refer to this as the OGee curve. Often times you can straighten the jawline with dermal filler as well to add a more youthful angle to the jawline and reduce the signs of jowling. This is the skin that begins to sag near the front part of the jawline. I would however have to see more pictures of this area to see if this might help. Likewise, you can also use PDO threading to get a lift of cheeks (midface) or jawline (lowerface). PDO threading will cost more but will likely give you a better "lift effect" than fillers. Lastly, you are likely to benefit from some sort of skin rejuvenation technique that involves PRP, micro-needling, or a combination of both. They will both induce collagen production and can help give you a subtle lift appearance. You may also notice a decrease in any skin tone unevenness or blemishes. These are only places I would consider and as such are also only places I would start given the photos you provided. You may benefit from more procedures or techniques however I can only respond based of the 2 photos you have provided. I would certainly speak to a provider to have a more detailed discussion of what might work best for you. Best of luck! :-)
Hello, Thank you for your question. Assuming you have had no complications from your hysterectomy procedure generally speaking there should be no contraindications to getting Botox neurotoxin or lip fillers. If your concern is the anesthetics that were used during surgery, then I would say that after 3.5 weeks you should have no complications between the products that are used in Botox /Lip fillers and the general anesthetics used during the surgery. I would however discuss these in more detail with your provider as everyone's individual case can be different. Wishing you the best :-)
Hello and thank you for your question. As of today, there are no documented cases of cross-immunity between the COVID 19 vaccine and Neurotoxin injections like Botox or Xeomin. That being said, out of an abundance of caution, it is probably a good idea to wait at least 2 weeks after your COVID vaccine before undergoing any cosmetic procedure with Neurotoxins. Since your Botox appointment will be 3 weeks after receiving the COVID 19 vaccine, you should be ok. I would however consult with your medical provider who is performing the procedure just to be certain. Best of luck :-)
Hello, Thank you for your question. Based on the photos you have provided I do believe you would benefit from Neurotoxin injections such as Botox for your lateral canthal lines (i.e. smiling eye wrinkles, crow's feet). It would also seem, based on your photos, that this would be the most cost-effective and non-invasive option to treat the wrinkles in these areas. Always consult with your doctor before undergoing these injections as they would be able to better assess your options in person. Best of luck :-)
Hello, Thank you for your question. You have wonderful skin by the way. In regards to the smile lines, based on the photo you have provided it may be difficult to treat those specifically with neurotoxins like Botox. Botox is an agent that temporarily paralyzes muscle activation. Using it to treat wrinkles on the lower half of the face may at best alter lower half facial expression (smiling, laughing, frowning) and at worst alter your ability to perform vital functions correctly (speaking, chewing). Because of this, injecting neurotoxin in this area of the face comes with a greater set of risks than injecting neurotoxin on the top third of the face above the eyes. In your specific case, injecting botox for your smile line wrinkles may temporarily alter your smile which may be an unwanted effect for you. It likely also would not completely give you the effect you are looking for. Based on the photo you have provided your better option may in fact be dermal filler. However, it's a bit difficult to say given that there is only one photo to evaluate. I hope this was helpful :-)
