I started following Dr. Saleh on IG about a year ago. After seeing so many dentists in my life, spending thousands of dollars and ending up disappointed at the result, I knew I had to wait as long as it takes to find the right dentist. Looking at Dr. Saleh's posts on IG, I was amazed at his work! I realized Dr. Saleh is the only one I can trust to take care of my teeth.I had a virtual and later face to face consult with him. The entire process from the consultation to the last visit is nothing I have ever experienced. He has a lovely team in his office. Everyone is kind, friendly and very professional. Poroshat was the one who scheduled my appointments and helped me get a clear understanding of what to expect, very kind and friendly.Dr. Saleh is a perfectionist and takes pride in his work! I have never had a dentist taking photos and videos of my smile and speech so many times to ensure the perfect result cosmetically as well as bite and speech. He will see you as many times as needed until everything meets his expectations, he has high standards! My teeth look BEAUTIFUL and my bite is fixed. Dr. Saleh is a man with integrity! Having my teeth done by Dr. Saleh was a dream come true for me! I am so grateful!
Dr.saleh is a miracle worker, I was in so much pain from one of my molars. I was in the chair right away and before I knew it the procedure was over and I was out. The staff is amazing, very professional and efficient. The atmosphere very relaxing and the office is beautiful. I would recommend Ora Dentistry Spa to anyone as my #1 choice in dental.
Had an expensive consultation only. Declined to go ahead with the dental work as the details provided were limited, concerns about the underlying medical condition which led to my need for the procedure were not addressed, and follow-up provided by the staff was sales pitchy. For me, the heavy-handed sales tactics have no place in healthcare.
Dr. Sam Saleh permanently ruined my teeth forever and lied to me about the veneer prep .. On may 21, 2018 instead of veneer prep he did massive crown prep on my 8 front teeth and did a laser gum removal way more than he explained in the chair . He lied saying it was only going to be minimal veneer prep and when I looked in the mirror he filed my teeth down to stubs. He should have looked at my teeth and saw that I had a few chips and done composite bonding or at the bare minimum done a minimal veneer prep. I was so upset because I hated the huge rabbit teeth he designed . So he said ya I don’t feel comfortable doing your teeth and sent me back to Boston with fake plastic teeth and told me to find a dentist to finish his botched procedure .. My veneers have been falling off everyday and are loose right now.. Only reason I didn’t sue is because my lawyer in LA was mad I didn’t respond to his emails fast enough. So he dropped my case and statue of limitations is 1 year to sue. I am writing this review hoping Dr. Saleh can pay to fix my teeth he destroyed and I don’t have the money to pay for 10 crowns or to pay a new dentist to re-veneer/crown 8 natural teeth and 2 implants 10 teeth that were destroyed in his chair. This is medical malpractice, my teeth were pepped for crowns but not in the back so I was forced to get extremely large veneers that fall off even eating a piece of bread .. If you threaten to sue me , I’m sure the judge would love to see 4 different Periodontist’s from bostons clinical notes on how you over prepped my teeth into crowns. I want my teeth fixed , you know my email . Oh PS .. Dr. Saleh knew my teeth were chipped in an accident and said he would document that so I could bill the insurance company for the chipped teeth and when I got to LA and he filed my teeth into stubs he then AFTER SAID ..“ Sorry I don’t feel comfortable attributing this to an accident “ so I had to wipe out all my credit cards and go into debt to pay him ..
TL;DR: Biggest regret of my life! Dr. Saleh lied to my face about my veneers being "minimally invasive," performed a gum lift surgery without discussing it with me first - resulting in extra long horse teeth, did what HE wanted for my mouth and the complete opposite of what I asked for, and refused to make any adjustments from my temporaries to final veneers. Don't be lured in by all the pretty Instagram photos & videos - they're all misleading to those uninformed about what really goes on there. I was a traveling patient. During my consult, Dr. Saleh assured me that my teeth wouldn't be ground down to little pegs. He said his process is "minimally invasive," removing as little tooth structure as possible. This was a complete lie. I ended up with the tiniest little pegs for teeth. I almost passed out when he was done grinding them down and I felt the huge air gaps with my tongue in between my teeth. I couldn't look in the mirror because I thought I might pass out if I actually saw them. Dr. Saleh left me sitting in the chair for about 15 min after the grinding session to go do something else, and I was laying there lightheaded as I kept running my tongue around what was left of the little stumps. When he finally returned, I commented to him that it felt like a lot of my teeth had been ground down. He said my tongue was gravitating to the spaces and making them feel larger than they were - a total lie. But first let me back up. When I arrived for my temp appt, he very loosely put them on and then brought me to another room in his office, near a window so they would appear whiter & brighter, and took pictures and filmed me wearing them, commenting in his video how amazing they looked. There's a reason he does the pics & videos BEFORE doing any actual work on your teeth - your mouth is a hot bloody mess after he grinds your teeth down to little pegs and contours your gums! So misleading!! After the pictures & video, he brought me back to my treatment room, took off the loose temps, and prepared me to have my gums contoured (ie lasered off really high). He had NEVER discussed this with me during my consult. I immediately started expressing concern and fear, as I was fine with my gums and didn't want them lasered higher. I should have walked out at this point and that is my biggest regret, not following my own gut and intuition right then. I flew to Beverly Hills that morning and at that point, I couldn't see walking out after spending hours traveling and not getting my veneers because I didn't agree to a gum lift. His assistant said "almost everyone gets it," so I reluctantly agreed. I had 8 veneers put on across my top teeth (thank God I didn't do more). When the temporaries were finally glued on, they were really long and horse-like. The assistant assured me they were the same length as my original teeth - this is not true. Another lie. I have pictures of the molds before of my original teeth and a picture of the veneers after. Dr. Saleh showed me my original mold, and my new veneer mold, and they were completely different in size- much longer. I was so upset with my long temporaries that I scheduled a Skype call with Dr. Saleh after I returned home to tell him what I didn't like - this was SUPPOSED to be part of the temporary process - "to try them on for size and make adjustments if necessary." But Dr. Saleh refused to make ANY adjustments to my teeth. In fact, he seemed personally insulted that I dared to criticize his work. His ego was massive. My final veneers were exactly the same as my temporaries. I had showed him pictures of teeth I liked during my consult that were small and cute, and he gave me the *exact opposite* of what I asked for. I later went to another high-end cosmetic dentist, after my finals were put on, to have adjustments made that Dr. Saleh refused to do. I had to pay another $2400, on top of the $20K I had already paid Dr. Saleh, to get them shortened. The new dentist measured my veneers, and my front two teeth were 12mm long. That dentist said the average length of front teeth is 9-10mm, & that 12mm is extra long. 2-3mm might not sound like much, but when you're talking about a small area of size like a tooth, it makes a huge difference. My canines were a whopping 16mm!, and scraping my bottom teeth when I ate or even talked!! The adjustments helped, but my gum line is still way too high, and I am now self-conscious about smiling too big where my long teeth show. I was told I would have to take all my veneers off, have extensive gum grafting, and put new veneers back on to fix the problem. I am not emotionally or physically ready to go through the tortuous veneer process all over again, plus gum grafting. This was the worst mistake of my life and if I could do anything to not get veneers from Dr. Saleh, I would. Please don't make the same mistake I did. PS - I recently discovered that by using my phone flashlight to look inside my mouth, my veneers became see-thru & I could finally see the super tiny pegs left of my real teeth. I was sick to my stomach for 2 days after.
A smile that is more yellow than white will usually respond very well to Zoom teeth whitening. The common misconception about Zoom is that a layer of the tooth is lost. This is NOT true. Since the natural tooth structure is porous it absorbs color, which causes staining. A zoom treatment involves placing a gel on the teeth which gets absorbed. The oxygen molecules in the gel remove the stain molecules from the teeth. Hence making the teeth appear whiter and brighter!
GERD also know as gastric reflux disease, or acid reflux , results in the stomach contents, including acid leaking into the esophagus, which can then work their way back into the mouth, causing damage to the teeth. The teeth can appear flattened, thin, translucent, have sharp edges due to chipping or it can create craters. Furthermore the teeth can become sensitive due to loss of the enamel layer.Porcelain veneers are an ideal restoration to treat the damage caused by GERD to the teeth. The porcelain can be fabricated to adhere to the areas where natural tooth structure has been eroded, hence restrengthening the tooth. This conservative measure will not only resolve sensitivity it will also greatly improve the aesthetic of the smile.
This is a very common question that I address on a regular basis. Based on the photograph of your smile, I would assume that you would like your two front teeth to be positioned more forward and the teeth on either side of them to come inward. If you choose to move the teeth with braces, I would suggest Invisalign treatment. This is an orthodontic option specifically designed with adults in mind who do not want a mouth filled with metal. We perform this treatment routinely in my office on patients aged between 25 and 70, I my self included. The treatment involves wearing clear plastic trays that fit specifically to your teeth and are changed periodically thus gradually moving the teeth into the desired position. On a social level no one will know you are wearing them, furthermore you can take them off to eat and brush your teeth which is fantastic! If you choose to have porcelain veneers for "instant orthodontics" your first visit would be to take impressions for a wax up which will give you a three dimensional model of how your teeth will look with the veneers. Once you approve the wax up, your teeth will be prepared for the porcelain veneers. Seven to ten business days later you will return to have the final veneers permanently bonded to your teeth. The ultimate decision is yours to make, porcelain veneers can change the shape, color, and position of the teeth. Invisalign can only change the position.
The spaces that you mention are located in the corner side of your smile, and are most noticeable when you are looked at from your profile. The first point to evaluate when closing a space is what caused it. If the space is due to a deformed, or poorly positioned tooth: It is possible to close the space by treating only the problem tooth, these cases are usually best treated with a porcelain crown. If the space is due to a discrepancy in the size of the jaw to the size of the teeth, ie. the teeth are too small for the jaw leading to spaces between the teeth. Treatment would normally involve more than one tooth, as each tooth needs to be widened slightly to close the space without making any single tooth look too big. These cases are usually best treated with porcelain veneers.
In some cases metal ions can escape from poorly fabricated restorations into your tooth structure causing a dark stain in the tooth. If this dark area is not treated prior to placement of an all porcelain crown, it is likely that a dark line will remain. It is common for cosmetic dentists to take a photo of your prepared tooth structure at the time of taking impressions. This is called a stump shade, and will notify the ceramist who fabricates the porcelain crown of what he is working with. Hence, if there is a dark area the ceramist will use specialized techniques to neutralize the area so that it does not show through the new porcelain crown. You are quite right to be concerned since its your front tooth and one of the most prominent areas in your face. Attention to detail is paramount in cosmetic dentistry. I hope you are able to resolve this issue.
