I researched eyebrow transplants here in the states endlessly for years and after whittling down a list, I consulted with a few. The cost I was being quoted was astranomical! $8-$12,000! This was more than hair transplants! I found Dr Sadiki on instagram and was blown away by the before and afters. Dr Sadikis technique is also different than in the states. Here in California they use fue, which has the hairs popping out in all directions once it grows in. Dr Sadiki uses loft, and leaves the graft hairs long so they lay flat when they grow in.I've never had eyebrows and to have to trim and comb them now because they're so thick is a dream come true! It frames my face amazingly and the team were so gentle and made me feel relaxed. They brought me food, had someone with me the whole time (my coordinator Melisa was the nicest person ever!) and my driver took me safely to and from all of my appointments. The team really does go above and beyond for us patients. As an aside, I also had my hairline filled in so at the same time to correct a previous bad transplant from another clinic. I can finally ear my hair up without it being see through.Dr Sadiki, you're a life saver and I'm eternally grateful! Updated on 15 May 2025: As the months have past I’ve noticed that my left brow is much thinner and more sparse than the right. I didn’t notice until I started to trim them and realized that longer hairs were covering the thin patch. I’m disappointed I guess as I wanted them to at least match but it’s better than nothing. As you can see I have a sizable gap in the middle of the left brow that I can’t really cover. The prices have increased since my last visit and the procedure takes a lot of healing with the big scar at the back so I don’t really feel like going through that again
In order to perform an eyebrow transplant, hair follicles are extracted from the donor area and implanted on the receiving one. Even though thanks to the latest techniques the scarring of the donor area is minimal, using your own eyebrow hair as a donor area would still lead to visible scarring on your eyebrow area after the procedure and long after the recovery period. Extracting hair from that zone or from the face in general is also considered not safe so I would personally not suggest it.
As a specialist of the field, I perform eyebrow transplant procedures every day and I can say that most of the patients who come to my clinic for a procedure have already had a tattooed brow. It is true that the ink might define the area where the grafts are implanted, but if the eyebrow transplant is done with the procedure and from a specialist's hands, you won't have to worry about the ink underneath the implanted hair.
Hello. You need to be clear about the difference between the concept of graft and follicle. A hair follicle is a unit that is extracted from the donor area, which can have 2-4 grafts/hair. If the eyebrow transplant is done with a DHI procedure, all these follicles are implanted as they are, which means that all those grafts grow in groups of 2-4, all in different directions. This might lead to a bushy look of the brow. In LOFT procedure, the one I personally perform, all grafts are separated and implanted one by one. This gives a more natural result and avoids the possibility of many hairs growing from the same root and in different directions.
Hello. Thank you for the details you've shared with the community. As an experienced professional, specializing in eyebrow transplantation, I can confirm that a transplant can easily get done over a tattooed brow. Also, you need to bear in mind that a tattooed brow can define the shape of the new transplanted eyebrows (if the tattoo is very thick and needs to be covered). Removing the ink first would be optimal but that would elongate the process as you'd have to wait about 4 months until the ink is gone and your skin has recovered.
Thank you for sharing your concern. The look of pubic hair that worries you is a result of a transplantation done with the wrong technique. Most doctors use the same technique as used for hair transplantation, which leads to a bushy brow look. It's caused since the implanted follicles contain more than one graft in it and they all grow in different directions. This is a procedure I don't advise as an experienced professional in this field. With the LOFT eyebrow transplant, hair grafts are implanted one by one, in compliance with the patient's wish and face structure. This way, eyebrows end up looking very natural and not bushy.
