The moment I entered the office I was warmly greeted by the front desk staff. I had eye surgery and Dr Ryan Scruggs saw me before surgery reassuring me that all will be well and after surgery. His bedside manners are incredible - he showed great care and interest in me as if he was taking care of his own father. On my return visit, I saw his wife, Dr. Dawn Scruggs. She was just as friendly, caring and patient as her husband. I had two follow up visits with her; she treated me the same way as my first visit with her. I HIGHLY recommend Drs. Ryan and Dawn Scruggs. Not only are they compassionate physicians but they treated me like family.
I recently had blepharoplasty done (upper eyelids). I was having a very difficult time with upper vision, example, seeing stop lights change. I loved the shape of my eyes, as they were unique, I'm not Asian! But felt it was time to have the surgery as insurance would now cover it! Praying for good results, this was very hard, as it is on my face, can't cover it up!!! Updated on 11 Mar 2017: Very swollen... There are a few different things that could cause an indentation in your eyelid margin. At this point you should have it examined my an ophthalmologist or oculoplastic surgeon to rule out the possibility of skin cancer. Depending on your age and risks factors, it may warrant a biopsy or simply be followed.
Your left eye has what is called an epicanthal fold. This is a fold of skin near the middle part of your eyelid next to your nose. This is most common in people of Asian ancestry. If it is bothering you, this can typically be treated surgically with a "Z-plasty" to move the skin relieve the tension causing the fold.
