As long as the area being 'touched up' is truly fat and not loose skin. Although they work differently, both Coolsculpting and Kybella are designed to safely eliminate fat cells from the body, and can be combined for optimal results. While they are both indicated for treating the neck area, their indicated treatment zones differ. Coolsculpt can be safely used to treat the lateral and medial aspects of the neck while Kybella is indicated only medially (as lateral placement can result in nerve damage). On the contrary, Kybella can be used to fine tune smaller areas that Coolsculpting cannot. Often times, I will combine Coolsculpt and Kybella in patients who require multiple treatment areas on the anterior and lateral aspects of the neck for best results.
