I'm a mother of 3 wonderful kiddos, all who were born by c-section. After my last little one was born on November 15th, 2020, I decided that it would be my last baby. 6 weeks after my son was born, I slowly got into a fitness routine. I worked out 7 days a week and eventually, 15 months later, lost 100 lbs! I looked and felt much better but was left with the flabbiest mess of a stomach. No matter what I did exercise-wise, it wouldn't go away. I started to research plastic surgeons in my area and was looking for someone who had been in practice for many many years. I eventually came across Dr. Ronald Bergman. I found that he had been in practice for over 40 years. I scheduled a consultation and he was direct and honest about what I should expect and what he planned on doing. I felt so confident in my choice of surgeon that I booked a surgery date the same day I did my consultation. I had surgery on February 8th, 2022. I was so nervous leading up to the day of surgery but felt so at ease when I saw Dr. B prior to going in to the OR. I was a difficult case considering the amount of skin hang I had. I also was asymmetrical and had more skin/fat on one side of my belly than the other. Dr. Bergman reassured me that I'd have the '21 year old' tummy I dreamt of when I woke up. The staff at the surgery center were also beyond amazing and sweet. Everyone was so kind and attentive. Surgery lasted 6 hours and he was beyond amazing in checking on me after, daily through call/text. I got my drains out today (2/14) and saw my new belly and was just in awe and cried tears of joy when I saw what he had done. I look like a completely different woman. Dr. Bergman was God-sent, I swear. He is a true artist of his trade and I highly recommend him to anyone for a tummy tuck! With over 40 years of experience, you will be in the best hands. I PROMISE YOU! Thank you, Dr. Bergman for giving me my life back. Not only my life, but the love I had lost sight of for myself. I love ME again. I cannot thank you enough!!! Updated on 15 Feb 2022: This is 5 days POST OP! Updated on 3 Apr 2022: So I’m finally 8 weeks post op! This recovery has kicked my butt, however, I must say that Dr. Bergman has been amazing through it all! Through the endless check ins through texting/calling me, to the weekly check ups, I’m just so happy and grateful that he is my surgeon. At 2 weeks post op, I developed a massive seroma and had to get a drain put back in through my left abdomen. Not only was there a seroma, my incision ended up opening and the fluid that was building up was exiting through my incision. I’m squeamish as is, but the open incision had me freaking out. Dr. Bergman was there for me every single step of the way! I can’t express my gratitude to him. He gave me my life back and I’m forever going to be grateful to him for that! I’m including photos of incision and photos I took this morning as well. Incision finally closed! Drain was removed 3/22. And I believe I’m going to get cleared to finally start exercise soon ! Good luck to all !! Updated on 3 Apr 2022:
Decided to have a reduction after losing 90 #. My weight started at 268 and am currently at 180. Always had large breasts but my DD's unfortunately rode the gravity train south with the weight loss. Procedure was 2 days ago. I never required pain medicine which shocked me! Other than the bulky dressings and drains I feel good. Shocked at how much smaller my breasts look. Hopefully they will land at a small C.
I just had a consultation with Dr Bergman, and he seemed knowledgeable, but didn't seem to care to know my desires other than how big do I want to be. And even then, he only looked at 2 pictures, one of me from even I was breastfeeding, and one clothed wish picture. He made it seem as though I didn't have any options and couldn't give any input, that if I decided to book with him, I would just get the cookie cutter boob job. He didn't discuss differences in profiles (moderate, high, etc), he didn't discuss saline vs silicone, he didn't have any samples for me to look at or touch, and he was dismissive when I expressed the fact that I wanted over the muscle placement due to the fact that I lift weights. I will give him credit for discussing BII, and being open and transparent about it.
