I went to Rohan for injections super nervous thinking a doctor of his standing would pick apart my face and tell me I needed the works. I left feeling awesome and with some much needed skin care products that after a couple weeks made me feel so much better about myself. While still a new client, I am so happy to finally have found a specialist in making me feel beautiful.
I have been seeing Dr. Bissoondath and his outstanding staff for over 5 years now and I look more youthful then I did when I originally walked in the door. I have gone to Preventous for SculpSure body contouring, skin care and lasers, lip injections, Botox and other facial fillers. I have always leveraged the knowledge of their expert staff and taken whatever advice they provide. Not once have they ever steered me in the wrong direction and have actually talked me out of treatments I felt I needed. I referred many friends and all have received the same immaculate treatment as me. I strongly encourage anyone looking for this type of professional relationship and wanting to look and feel their best, to contact Dr. Bissoondath and his staff. Without a doubt they are in good hands.
I've been seeing Dr. Rohan for about 7 years. He has exceptional bedside manners and has helped me with my acne, acne scars, and anti aging. Him and his team are by far the best in Calgary! I complete trust him and his expertise.
Does an amazing job every time. Very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. Personable. Professional. Overall excellent experience with both MD & clinic staff. I would definitely highly recommend.
Best Dr I have ever dealt with. I can’t say enough good things about him. Precise, listens, outcome was above my expectations, I fully trust him and any suggestions he has. Couldn’t have asked for more
Hello Tracey63684, Thank you for your question. As you are well aware, a certain percentage of the population will experience headaches to a varying degree post treatment. While this is typically a very small number of individuals and the headache is usually mild, very few people will experience more significant symptoms. The only suggestion I have had for this small number of patients, is to try one of the other botulinum toxins on the market, for example Xeomin, or Dysport. I hope you find relief and continue to enjoy the results!
Hello knoxxoxo, Your question is actually 2 different questions. Firstly, hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers are expected to completely breakdown (dissolve) over time. Your actual inquiry seems to be referring specifically to lumps that can develop post HA filler treatment. These lumps can be the HA filler itself, or, less commonly, a type of reaction to the filler material. In my experience lumps that are noted immediately post treatment generally resolve without any further intervention, within days to weeks. Late onset lumps, those that arise after one month post treatment can persist for long periods of time and more than likely require some sort of medical intervention. The bottom line is that all post HA filler lumps should be assessed by your physician and managed appropriately. I hope this brief review helps!
Hello Monique662, Thank you for your question and sharing your photos. Bruising associated with dermal filler injections is a common occurrence, as is swelling. The under eye, or tear trough, region is especially prone to bruising. Treatment of the bruise with a laser is not uncommon and will generally accelerate its resolution. Typically these bruises are expected to resolve spontaneously and without complication. The photographs you present are consistent with bruising that should resolve in an uncomplicated fashion. Of course, should you have concerns, please follow your doctors post treatment instructions and follow up as advised.
Hello jasara, Your question regarding Balance HA dermal fillers produced my Merz Pharmaceuticals, implies that there are "bad" HA fillers. From my experience with numerous HA fillers available, including the whole family of Merz HA dermal fillers, I would say that there are not any "bad" HA fillers. I am only referring to HA dermal fillers that have received Health Canada approval, FDA approval in the US, or CE approval in Europe. All HA dermal fillers have different and unique characteristics which make them more, or less suited to various areas of the face. The most important factor, is to have a physician who is familiar with their choice of HA dermal fillers and who chooses the best one for the desired effect, in a particular patient. In regards to Balance specifically, I have found it to be an excellent product for the treatment of very superficial facial wrinkles and lines. I also have been happy with results when using Balance for treating tear troughs (the hollows that develop below your eyes). To summarize, there are no "bad" HA dermal fillers, but one particular HA filler might be better suited to a certain individual and to a certain part of the face.
Hello tunia135, Duration of action regarding Hyaluronic Acid (HA) dermal fillers is a very common question for us in a clinical setting. Over the past 14 years, I have had the opportunity to use all the HA fillers that we have available to us on the Canadian market. There are several factors which will influence how long the filling effect of any HA filler persists. Probably the most significant factor, is the choice of HA filler in regards to thickness. Now, in saying thickness, I am over simplifying a much talked about property of HA dermal fillers. That being said, from a patients perspective, the various dermal filler companies will produce a family of HA fillers, each with unique characteristics, one of those characteristics is what we can call thickness. Generally speaking, the thicker products will last longer than the thinner products and medium products will last somewhere in between. The duration will range from 4 -6 months for the thin products, 6-8 for the medium ones and 12-18 months for the thicker products. Also important to understand is how, or why we choose a particular thickness of HA filler. Again, to simplify and generalize, the thicker products will provide the most lifting, or filling effect, whereas the thinnest HA filler will provide minimal to no lift at all. Thicker products are more likely to be used in the cheeks, temples, chin and jaw. Medium products in the forehead, anterior cheeks and lips. Finally the thinnest of HA fillers are used to treat more superficial lines and wrinkles. Finally, to answer your question, the most important choice you will make is in choosing a physician who has the experience and artistry to address your concerns. The physician, through their understanding of the various HA fillers available will choose ones that will address your issues, with a view to the ongoing weight loss that you are experiencing. Having a physician who appreciates that each HA filler has its own personality will ensure that your results are optimal - balanced and natural. I always say, "You can never use too little filler". The worst that can happen is that you have to add a little bit more. One of the best properties of HA fillers is that they are reversible. All physicians will have a supply of an enzyme called hyaluronidase in their offices. Hyaluronidase will very rapidly and safely breakdown HA fillers. So if you are ever at the point, where for some reason, you, or your physician is unhappy with the effect of your HA filler, they have the ability to reduce, or completely remove it. I hope that explanation helps. Congratulations on your ongoing weight loss efforts!
