I went to see Dr. Farhy with concerns about the veins in my chest and upper arms that are blue and very visible. I am only 29 and was concerned about how they looked and if there was a possible problem. He sent me for a CT scan to make sure there was no under lying problem. Luckily there was not I just have blue veins. He took the time to call me and explain my results and what we could do about them. I am getting married in October and don’t want to chance any bruising with sclerotherapy. He went over all the risks with me and we decided to wait until after my wedding since the veins can look worse before they get better with sclertotherapy. I havent had any treatments yet with the doctor but I plan to later this year and this rating is based on my consult. If you are looking for a doctor that listens, is honest and through I would recommend him. So far so good :)
The treatment would be safe for you. The ascending aortic aneurysm is located in the chest and not in the area that you want to have treated.
Venaseal has approval to be used only on great saphenous vein. If you would have a re-canalization of the great saphenous vein, then there is a possibility of using Venaseal in the future. I agree with your doctor that Varithena is probably a better product.
You need to see an ophthalmologist. Your problem has to do with the sclera, not with veins. Good luck.
Those veins are not "dangerous". It is a cosmetic complaint. They can be removed by actually minimal incisions or can be treated with sclerotherapy.
The question is his experience. Did he ever do this procedure before? What is his training? Did he make the right diagnosis? Did he preform an ultrasound of your legs veins? Does he know the possible complications and what to do to handle them? Is he Board Certified in Vein diseases? etc, etc
