I am writing this review due to my high anxiety of dentist offices. I am sure there are others out there like me. But I need to share the care that I receive during each visit. Due to the care by Dr. Funk and staff I have been able to have some implants and other procedures completed right in his office. And the office is full service I don’t have to go anywhere to have old teeth taken out or bone graphs done, it is all done right there in the office. For someone who had as much anxiety about dental work as I do that’s all due to the staff. Marie is always there with a hot pillow, putting the music I want to hear on, and really cares about how you feel. During any procedure Dr. Funk and staff are always asking if your ok or need anything and most importantly is there any pain! I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
I chose microneedling to improve skin texture and overall appearance. After three microneedling sessions, I can see an improvement in the texture of my skin. Hoping the wrinkles diminish! The office staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
Dr. Funk is trained in the new facial wrinkle treatments and lip fillers. During my procedures he was very concerned about one's individual pain tolerance and meets the client's needs in feeling comfortable the entire time. He has a very "down to earth" personality who really seems to enjoy his job and clients..Thank you, Dr. Funk for my new confidence!
Laser Genesis will certainly help with the scarring, but micro needling is your better choice as it can penetrate deeper into the skin and rejuvenate all depths of the dermis.... Laser Genesis is best used as a supportive procedure between micro needling and also as a long-term preventative.
You are in a tough situation, generally in our office we let the patient see the final bridge in their mouth and we and the pt. evaluate the esthetics and decide if the shade, shape is good, if not we send the bridge back to the lab and put the temp back on...in your case the bridge is cemented in, permanently I presume, and it is very hard to take off and yes it can damage the remaining teeth under the bridge. The only recourse you have is to hope your dentist recognizes the poor results and is willing to remove the bridge and remake it. A lot depend on how honest your dentist is and also whether he/she is in their own practice or if they are in a corporate situation where profits drive the decision making. Good luck with that.....
You should definitely get the crown adjusted, do not worry about affecting the other teeth since once the crown is adjusted you should have the same bite as you had before the crown, no more, no less. The goal of any restoration is to make sure it is harmonious with your natural bite.
Bonding could certainly help, It seems the tooth ( your canine) behind the one you are concerned with (your lateral) is in too far (cross bite), you might want to consider some kind of orthodontics which would move your canine out and your lateral in which would give you a very nice result which would actually be better in the long run than bonding, but if you are looking for a quick result then yes bonding can make things look better and be a reasonable long term option.
...A couple of things...first it would help to evaluate your lips with a profile shot of your lips, it is a picture that helps me get a good view of the relationship of your lips to your nose and chin.....secondly, what is it you are hoping to accomplish, what don't you like, what do you want to change? After a discussion about your wants and needs accompanied by pictures then a plan can be arrived at.
