I agree with the other doctors that your what you have described sounds like an infection in the sweat glands called Hidradenitis Suppuritiva. This should be treated by antibiotics and perhaps surgical removal or drainage of the boils. When there is no infection in the area, Botox can be a big help in reducing the amount of perspiration and sweating. And the good news is that usually injections in this area are only minimally painful.Botox can also decrease excessive sweating in other areas such as the palm of the hands though this tends to be more uncomfortable than under the arms.
The vertical lines between the brows deepen when we frown. They make us look angry, unhappy, unapproachable. The softening of these lines is the most common use of Botox and Dysport injections. These medicines weaken the corrugator muscles which cause the lines. Think of similar wavey lines on corrugated cardboard or corrugated aluminum. If there are 2 lines many patients refer to them as "the eleven lines". The treatment goal is to soften but not totally paralyze the action of the muscles. This is how we avoid the " frozen look".A Botox dose of about 20 unites is often required in this location. If Dermal Fillers, such as Restylane and Juvederm, are used in this area great care must be exercised to avoidcompressing the micro circulation and causing ulceration. Dermal Fillers are better used to fill creases lower on the face and around the mouth.
