Dr. Rosenfield is a wonderful choice! He and his staff made me feel very comfortable and were available for any questions or needs I had. If you are looking into a surgery, I highly recommend having it here. Very professional, very talented, very helpful, and they stay involved from day one all the way through the healing process. I am very happy with my experience and would recommend Pearl Women's Center to my family and friends.
I'm 6 days post-op and I'm already thrilled with the results. Even though I'm swollen and bruised, there is a drastic difference in the size/shape of my labia. I'm super excited for the end result. No loss of sensation whatsoever (that was my main fear going into this). I felt 100% comfortable with Dr. Rosenfield from the moment I sat down in his office. He is kind, funny, professional and easy to talk to. The nurses and anesthesiologist are also wonderful. I was very nervous the morning of my surgery but the entire team made me feel safe and at-ease. Go here!
I couldn't be happier with my experience at Pearl Women's Center and Dr. Rosenfield. Given the sensitive nature of the procedure I was very nervous coming in but Dr. Rosenfield and his fantastic staff made me feel very comfortable from my very first appointment. I am extremely happy with my results and my entire experience with Pearl Women's Center and Dr. Rosenfield.
After rapid weight loss, and I'm certain some degree of muscle loss, I felt more lax and less pressure during sex. Was left feeling frustrated by the fact that I did not "grip" my partner the same way I could even just a year ago. Not fun for a young 28 year old with high sex drive :( Having no children or stress incontinence issues meant I was not ready for a full on surgery with a long recovery period..After a solid month of research into the various different procedures I felt the femilift outperformed them all. I set up a consultation with Dr. Rosenfield at Pearl Women's Center in Portland on the suggestion of a good friend who seems to always be in the know. From the start, the lovely staff at PWC endured the barage of interrogation style questions I had prepared for them. They all remained friendly and caring professionals with every call and encounter! The wait in the lobby was short. At consult, Dr. Rosenfield entered the room with a kind smile and I was quickly caught off guard by how exceptionally easy he was to talk to! He was up front and honest with me about what to expect and the small possibility of a less than desired response to treatment.. he answered all of my many questions and made me feel confident that I was in the right place for help. **Really want to highlight that Dr. Rosenfield did not talk up the procedure too much as to not give any false hope, which I appreciated. Dis not know it at the time but having lowered my expectations a little would in turn make for a very nice surprise later.. Exactly one week after my first femilift treatment my significant other and I were ECSTATIC with the results!
Since an early age I've felt self conscious about my labia. I think it was in the first Borat movie where he described his wife's labia as "wrinkled elephant ears" and I thought, "that's me." When I read in a local weekly about labiaplasty I wanted to learn more. I'm very satisfied with the outcome -- I don't feel self conscious about my "lady parts" anymore. I will say that there was significant discomfort during the ~ 3 weeks of recovery -- but I survived it and am happy I did it.
After having 5 kids, I noticed a change down there. My sex life became just a routine and it was affecting my relationship with my husband. That is when i contacted dr. Rosenfield. Dr. Rosenfield was great and explained everything so well. The procedure was completely worth it. I feel like I have a new vagina now.
I was very insecure and uncomfortable with how my labia looked prior to surgery. It was starting to affect my self confidence and sex life- I decided to get a libaplasty procedure because I knew it was something really important to me, and I was doing it for myself. It was an incredibly ichy recovery, but very worth it. Now I feel more confident in my own skin.
I ended up getting a rectocele surgery after being referred to an OBGYN for a pelvic floor examination. I suffered from constipation and poor elimination for quite a long time. I worked with a Dr. to eliminate food allergies and took powerful probiotics to see if that relieved my issues. It did not. My symptoms got worse over time. I would feel like I had to run back in to the bathroom as soon as I finished, this affected my life daily. My stomach would hurt because I couldn't eliminate and many more embarrassing issues came along with the constipation. I was miserable 80% of the time dealing with this. I also had other embarrassing things going on with my body at the same time. For the last 6 years or so I had noticed that sex was not as satisifying. Although my partner would say that everything felt fine to him I could not feel friction during intercourse. I started to get self conscious feeling like I was losing muscle tone in my pelvic area and looked up an article on how to preform kegels and started practicing. Although I felt like I was following the directions to the T, I could not feel anything. I became so frustrated and asked my then OBGYN what I could do about it. Upon examination he said everything looked fine but recommended physical therapy since I was having trouble with Kegels. I had to decline physical therapy due to the expense as it was not covered by insurance and would take several visits that cost over $200.00 each. Looking back over the years sex became embarrassing to me. My partner would slip out several times during intercourse. It made me feel so self conscious and old, which I'm not! I went to Dr. Richard Rosenfeld for my pelvic floor examination. Upon examination he quickly said that I had an issue called Rectocele. Rectocele happens when your pelvic floor weakens and your intestine bulges into your vaginal wall creating what I guess you can say a is a crook in the intestine. He also said that my pelvic muscles have become very relaxed and asked if I had an episiotomy with the birth of my child. I already knew that my pelvic muscles had become very relaxed if not non existent. He explained how this could happen to a person that has had an improperly done episotomy. Whatever the case was I was beyond happy to get an diagnosis. While Dr. Rosenfeld was explaining the rectocele surgical procedure to me he also told me it was the same thing as getting a vaginal rejuvenation. I finally was referred to a Gastroenterologist who recommended a pelvic floor exam. Updated on 29 Feb 2016: My surgery date was Dec 23, 2015. I was well taken care of by Dr. Rosenfield and his staff. Not only did I have the rectocele repair I also had my IUD removed and got a tubal ligation. The total surgery time was about 4 hours which included the tubal ligation. The surgery consisted of making a diamond shape incision between my vaginal opening and perineum. Muscles were pulled together and stitched along the distal portion of my vaginal wall and a organic material was placed to reinforce the distal wall. The perineum and vaginal opening were stitched back up at a circumference that was smaller than the previous opening. I went home nice and numb which was great because it allowed me time to get settled in and take my pain medication. The first two days were very difficult in terms of recovery. The surgery was invasive so it was to be expected. The ligation really caused soreness because they puff air in to abdomen to do this procedure. It felt like I had done 1000 sit ups. I tried to follow post op and medication instructions as close as possible. I felt like I healed quickly because of this. I also made turmeric tea with coconut milk, turmeric, ginger and pepper to use as an anti-inflammatory. I used estrogen cream on the incisions daily and showered keeping the area as clean as possible. It was very difficult to eliminate the first week due to pain and being nervous to not cause strain. Within 8 weeks I was completely healed and comfortable with the exception of the perineum feeling raw or like it was not a part of me. I was given the go ahead to resume intercourse which I have not had because , well I'm single! Even though he gave me the go ahead at 8 weeks I imagine it would have been pretty sore. Results: I am no longer having difficulty with elimination! The repair has made a night and day difference for me and I am no longer straining or running back to the bathroom like I used to. I feel the surgery was 100% successful because of that. As for the vaginal rejuvenation, I am completely excited about that too. I can tell the opening is much smaller, it does not look disgusting anymore, and I can actually feel my muscles when I do Kegels. I wish I would have taken notes so I could write a better review. Please message me if you have any questions.
I was having some urinary urgency leaking , vaginal laxity and decrease difficulty achieving orgasm. I have had only 1 treatment so far and definitely plan to get my next 2 treatments. After the 1st treatment I have had no leaking , increase in lubrication and increase sensitivity. I am able to achieve orgasm easier and my husband notes that things are "tighter" and he has increased sensitivity as well. I highly recommend this procedure to anyone experiencing any of the above.
We see patients with complaints such as this, and the short answer is YES, surgery is possible. The question is whether there is another option to help that might be less invasive or traumatic, such as pelvic floor physical therapy, use of vaginal weights, or consideration of Viveve.
The O SHOT uses PRP, Platelet Rich Plasma, rich in growth factors. This concentrated plasma is injected into a couple of key areas along the vaginal wall and clitoral shaft.Stimulating these areas will help mobilize the PRP and allow it to begin to work, allowing for remodeling of the tissues in these areas. While not mandatory, stimulation of these areas with a vibrating device seems to accelerate the effects in many of our patients.Good Luck!Dr R
Those vessels themselves can be ligated or removed.Usually this can be done in the office.Best to see a Gyn doctor who also is familiar with varicose vein management.Good Luck!Dr R
You might be asking for a prolonged anesthesia situation-but the most significant issue will be cost and charges from the hospital as there are few outpatient centers with a robot. Most likely the cost of the additional procedure could be an issue.Yes the recovery would also be a bit more challenging.Great your are seeing a MIGS surgeon tho!Best of LuckDR R
For point tenderness with intercourse, most important part will be careful diagnosis, as sometimes repairs need to be revised.HOWEVER, PRP "O shot" can be injected into the tender area with excellent results and no need for surgery if a credentialed physician with proper training can identify the source of the discomfort.Best of Luck!Dr R
