It's hard to believe that a problem I have had my whole life could disappear so quickly and completely. After years of learning to tolerate and cope with sweaty underarms, I finally found a treatment that was tolerable, affordable and actually worked! I did experience some significant swelling and bruising, but was told to expect that. I had no pain following the treatment either! As for my sweating, it’s essentially gone. I have not had to wear deodorant since the treatment. The MiraDry treatment has been life changing for me. It has renewed my confidence. I can now dress the way I would like and not have to worry about embarrassing sweat stains on my clothes.
I am a medical professional in a dermatology office. We offer MiraDry and I was elected to have the procedure done. I suffer from overactive sweating of my bilateral axillae and have for numerous years. I was embarrassed to wear certain types of clothing. I would have to apply and reapply deodorant numerous times daily. During my procedure, the only pain I felt was the injectable lidocaine (numbing) which lasted about 10 minutes. During the actual procedure, I felt NO PAIN!!!. After 30 minutes, I was done!!. I am 2 weeks out, and still NO SWEATING. The only recommendation I would make is to take Motrin as directed along with icing numerous times daily. IT IS WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I recommended this procedure to all of my family and friends as it is LIFE CHANGING!!!
