Dr. Dittrich and his staff are amazing! I've seen Dr. Dittrich for Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (my pellets) for years and I've never felt better! I have also seen both Dr. Dittrich and Nurse Robyn for my facial injectables and they're both amazing artists! The whole staff, Dr. Dittrich, receptionists, nurses, everyone here is great. I've had Dysport for my 11's between my eyebrows, and around my eyes/ crows feet, and the lines across my forehead, and some Restalyne in my cheeks and in my lips. I'm signed up for my free consultation with Robyn for SculpSure next week too and I'm so excited to finally lose this belly pooch! This practice is an A+ from me!
Hello Luchaboo, Thank you for your question. While getting stuck in the face with needles is not a pleasant experience, most people find it to be quite tolerable. The needles used for neuro-modulators like Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport are insulin needles and very tiny. Dermal fillers like Restylane and Juvederm typically have lidocaine added for additional comfort, and a surface numbing cream is applied several minutes before the injections are done for even further comfort. Ice packs are often helpful and some patients like to squeeze a "stress ball" too, while other patients come in and out of their liquid face-lift appointment on their lunch break and for them it's a breeze. The point to really make here is that pain is subjective and everyone is different. But if it was that bad, it wouldn't be as wildly popular as it is! I hope this information helps, and good luck! Hello Aleex, Thank you for your question. How many treatments a person needs depends on many variables. One treatment will destroy up to 24% of the fat cells in the area treated, while two treatments, spaced no sooner than six weeks apart, will destroy close to 40% of the fat cells in that area. The phrase "treat to complete" is how we prefer to frame the answer to your question. What the individuals start point and end goal is determines how many treatments are needed to achieve the desired effect. In our experience, most patients are extremely happy with their results after two treatments. For the most accurate answer to your question we recommend an assessment and consultation with your provider. I hope this helps, and good luck! Richard Dittrich, DO, FACOGG
Hello Hilife808, Thank you for your question. We have to keep in mind two things, first that every person is unique and different, and second that pain is subjective. Some people are more sensitive to pain than others and also, different areas of the body have different sensitivities. Whether a person feels pain or experiences swelling after SculpSure does not indicate whether the treatment was effective, nor does it indicate how effective the treatment was. During the clinical trials for SculpSure, including all the before and after images Cynosure (the company who makes SculpSure) provides for the treatment, all patients were treated at a 1.1 setting, which is the lowest setting the machine has. That said, regardless of whether someone had higher settings used, or if he or she experienced any pain or swelling, the treatment will be effective. If you're not experiencing any post procedure discomfort that's wonderful! Trust in the process and be patient; you will see your results in as soon as 6 weeks, with full results at 12 weeks. Best of luck! Richard J. Dittrich DO, MBA, FAGOG
Thank you for your question. There are several symptoms a woman may have that make her a candidate to undergo vaginal rejuvenation. One reason is related to women who are undergoing menopause and often experience many symptoms including vaginal dryness, itching, painful intercourse, poor lubrication, decreased libido and poor vaginal muscle elasticity and tone. Most of these symptoms are part of a condition referred to as vaginal atrophy and it follows a reduction in the production of estrogen by the ovaries. Another reason is Vaginal Relaxation Syndrome (VRS), a quite common condition. Usually associated with vaginal child birth as well as with natural aging, VRS is a condition described as a loss of the optimum vaginal structure. Pregnancies and births contribute to a worsening of VRS condition, as does the onset of menopause, which causes a decline in hormone levels and vaginal atrophy. Most women (and their partners) refer to VRS as “enlarged vagina”, complaining of a loss of vaginal tightness, which is directly related to the reduction in friction during intercourse and thus to a decrease or loss of sexual gratification. Yet another symptom that Vaginal Rejuvenation improves is stress urinary incontinence (SUI), which is quite prevalent in women after their first birth (with between 24% and 29% of women suffering from this condition). It is caused by a loss of support of the urethra, which is usually a consequence of damage to pelvic support structures as a result of childbirth. Similarly, frequent exercise in high-impact activities can cause athletic incontinence to develop. In both cases, it is characterized by the leaking of small amounts of urine during activities which increase abdominal pressure such as coughing, sneezing and lifting weights, and even laughter. In my opinion the Juliet Feminine Laser for Vaginal Rejuvenation is a fast, painless, and non-surgical solution. The goal is to restore the original metabolism of connective tissue and improve the state of the mucosa, by stimulating a process of neocollagenesis. Bladder leakage is significantly improved, the inner mucosa regains elasticity and lubrication, gaining thickness and softness; itching, irritation and pain during intercourse disappear. If you suffer from any of the symptoms discussed above, Juliet Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation is for you! Best of luck to you! Richard J. Dittrich DO, MBA, FACOG
Hello MaxLola1, Thank you for your question regarding the suggested time to apply your Latisse. You're correct, the product is suggested to be applied at bedtime to ensure the area is clean and free of makeup. That said, if you're not planning on wearing makeup that day, the product may be applied at any time. If you wear contact lenses it is best to wait 15 minutes after you apply the Latisse before putting the lenses in your eyes. Also, while very infrequent, avoid any product getting in your eye as Latisse has the potential to cause increased brown iris pigmentation of the colored part of the eye which is likely to be permanent. You may want to ask your doctor for complete application instructions. Kind regards, Dr. Richard J. Dittrich DO, MBA, FACOG
