My wife was having her eyes done. I met Dr. Levine through her. The first two weeks after the surgery were pretty miserable. Had to sleep sitting up, if I l slept at all. Very difficult to eat the first 4-5 days. I was beginning to have second thoughts about the third week after. Ended up being one of the best things I ever did for myself.
At 15 I had a very successful rhinoplasty performed and a disastrous chin implant placed....not only was it too large for my face (think Jay Lenos little sister!) but it shifted and dropped. I had it removed 6 months later...fast forward 35 years...not happy with the crepe look under my eyes and my jowls...all the surgeons I "interviewed" recommended same procedures...and I have been assured the implants have changed and he will use a small implant with "wings" unlike the button style I had before... 3 weeks from today is "the day".... Updated on 7 Jul 2016: Updated on 10 Jul 2016: Tomorrow is the last of my pre op testing....im a bit anxious about the chin implant...I know I need one...but I fear looking "weird and unnatural"...like I did when I had my first implant in 1981...I keep telling myself the chin is reversible...the face and eyes aren't! You'd think that would be more "nerve racking"...17 days to go! Updated on 21 Jul 2016: So...one week to go...Arnica and bromalain have arrived....all pre op testing results are in and I am officially a "go"! I remembered yesterday that when I had surgery years ago I was given morphine/codeine and I itched like mad...my nose and face were the worst and my torso broke out in hives....how I could forget this I don't know, but I did...I contacted the Dr and all has been taken care of...I'll be taking tramadol for pain instead. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't getting nervous...but I'm excited too...and I actually found some button down pjs at target that are cute yesterday which really made my day...I was fearing the dreaded housecoat!! Lol!! I guess it's time to share before pics....this is tough to do...the arrows, well...I think they point it all out! Updated on 29 Jul 2016: I look worse than I feel...really! My left side has more swelling than the right And my neck...that isn't a shadow in the picture..that's a bruise!! I'm sore and very tired...I should have bandages changed today so hoping I'll get a sneak peek at the chin... Updated on 30 Jul 2016: I am very glad that I chose a doctor who insists upon 1 night stay in hospital...unfortunately the drain on one side of my face became clogged with a clot...dr tried manually removing excess fluids and at first we thought that had done the trick...but it hadn't so back in operating room I went. Pain is tolerable thanks to demoral. Of course at this point I am still very bruised and swollen too...my chin...so far so good! I have a little minor dimpling still...we are going to wait for the swelling to go down and if need be I will have a small amount of fat from my hip injected into my chin to smooth it out... Updated on 3 Aug 2016: Tomorrow is 1 week since my procedures....mush like I had read is true...for me anyway...day 3 was the hardest....pain, lack of energy, sleep deprived...I knew it just had to get better...and it has...I left the hospital Saturday morning feeling "tight" and sore and very very tired...spent the weekend recuperating at home. Monday I saw Dr Levine and my remaining bandages were removed...all my had left was tape over my cheeks and some weird little eye "pillows" that were attached by strings to my forehead...strange right? Yesterday, Tuesday, was spent also by taking it easy, thank god my husband took this week off of work! I babysit our 22 month old grand daughter and we got a puppy 6 weeks ago....what was I thinking! Lol! Today I see Dr Levine again, back on Friday, and again on Monday...I hope he can remove or pop a stitch on the side of my eye...it's very "pokey"...the chin is still on the small side, which is what I wanted, however there was some damage done from the first implant years ago so it does appear I will need a small fat transfer as well....that won't be done for a few months...but overall I am pleased.... Updated on 4 Aug 2016: Great nights sleep finally! Every day is getting better.... The tightness is easing up though I will say...those salivary glands...WOW! Super sensitive...no matter what I eat I get that awful "twinge" the first couple of bites....I've lost about 7 lbs but those lbs will right back once I can eat more normally.....I will say...I am truly amazed that I still look like me!! Just a better version...exactly what Dr Levine said...the chin...that was my "scary issue"...but I am so pleased with the results so far!!! Updated on 5 Aug 2016: I feel pretty good... Threw a bit of makeup on and did my hair...I am more than pleased with my results so far!! Updated on 5 Aug 2016:
Breast impants should be sized to fit the footprint of your breast. The should not wrap around your chest nor reach your collarbone. The need to be natural appearing. You should have to wear a bra to look elegant on a saturday night but you should be able to wash your car in a t shirt without causing a traffic jam.
