Usually we tell patients that they can expect a watery bloody discharge for about a week then it will lessen. In my experience (over 100 patients),&nbsp;that watery bloody discharge is followed by a true repair of the vaginal mucosa which results in frank bloody discharge...yes, pads of blood.&nbsp; For my Postmenopausal patients this is absolutely freaky. I am an avid crossfitter. I feel that I can’t take my workouts and lifts to the next level because I pee ALL THE TIME. I had my second femilift treatment two weeks ago and it hurt much more than the first time. I noticed afterwards that the protective sheath was not on the Femilift wand on the machine. I didn't say anything to the doctor at the time. I still feel some irritation with intercourse. Could there be permanent damage? Should I still go to my third treatment in a few weeks?

The pictures you took are great,&nbsp;17 years of painful sex is coming to an end. The incision sites look healthy and clean. As human beings when we heal we get a little yellow protective covering as the skin heals and re- epithelialize's, meaning the skin reforms, over surgical sites. With no redness underneath or induration ( swelling) . I&nbsp;think it looks like it is healing well. I would bet you will feel much better after this.&nbsp;

Had my perineoplasty 2 weeks ago to help with painful sex of 17 years, they have done it to enlarge my vaginal openening. 2 weeks on, still quite sore, area doesn’t look red but I have what looks like Yellow discharge, is this normal?

Addyi is a drug meant to improve libido. It has to be taken everyday and you must not mix it with alcohol. However, in the original studies, headaches were not more likely to occur than with placebo ( pills with no medication in them). In my experience, I have not had any patients complain of increased frequency or severity of headaches.&nbsp;

Yes, I have many patient who do not want to go back to the operating room (ever) after a sling or bladder repair. The Techniques developed using the FemiLift allow out patient, short procedures that really do help with vaginal atrophy and stress urinary incontinence. Patients come in and leave within 30 to 45 minutes. Some of that time is check in, checking your urine for bacteria before the treatment, and waiting for the numbing cream to work.&nbsp;
I believe women who fail surgical intervention should try FemiLift.

I do not want another lift as the recovery was quite painful. I am 57 and have vaginal atrophy as well.

I had a bladder lift which was unsuccessful. Can the Femilift, Oshot or Gshot or possibly another treatment help me?

The settings given by ALMA Lasers prevent the risks of damage to the vagina and certainly permanent damage. However, this is a new "Investigational" treatment and patient selection is extremely important.&nbsp;Physicians performing FemiLift or Mona Lisa or ANY&nbsp;carbon dioxide laser treatment to the vagina sincerely want to help you , not make it worse. Consider going back to the first physician who performed the treatment. Tell the physician of your reactions and your desperate search for a second opinion from a&nbsp; different FemiLift provider as well as on RealSelf.&nbsp;&nbsp;Ask if the settings were different from the standard. And, if so, why?&nbsp;If severe vaginal&nbsp;atrophy was the indication, the size of the FemiLift Probe, normal or Mini, may have made a difference. Also, as physicians have noted here, watery discharge that feels like urine leakage is a common side effect. Overall, keeping you out of an operating room and improving your life is the goal. Your body knows how to heal. The vagina is skin that is much thicker than the skin on your face. The other comments posted include&nbsp;valuable advise not limited to checking for a urinary tract infection or a connection between the bladder and vagina called a fistula which would be extremely rare and likely NOT&nbsp;cause by FemiLift. Hi, have had many issues after my 1 femilift procedure which I had 2.5 weeks ago. I went to a DR that does femilift to check down below and he said I was very inflamed as if I just had femilift done. He said that is from the laser being too high. Will I now have permanent damage? And when will the leaking stop? Is it now possible that I could have a urine fistula? Also will it thin my skin over time the way facial lasers do when the settings are too high? Because it melts the fat. Thank you
