I’ve been under Dr. Castaneda’s good dental care for nearly seventeen years now, and I would not hesitate to have her care for a family member or a friend knowing that family member or friend would get the best possible dental care with the best possible outcome from this caring, competent person. Right up front, what impressed me most about Dr. Castaneda is that the moment she walks into the exam room, you, the patient, have her unwavering attention to your dental needs and to your hopes for a cosmetically acceptable dentition. It became readily apparent to me after my first dental exam and from the questions Dr. Castaneda asked me about my teeth, that she had only my best interest at heart. In a nutshell, her relaxed, sincere and understanding demeanor put me very much at ease in the dental chair which is significant given that most people would rather poke themselves in the eye with a burning twig than go to their dentist. When I came to Dr. Castaneda, my dentition was nothing less that a train wreck. I had had a motorcycle accident that inflicted industrial strength damage to my upper anterior teeth. I had a fixed bridge that was so cosmetically unacceptable, my teeth looked more like a roll of Chiclets. I had enough unsightly silver fillings in my posterior molars to sink a battleship. Consequently, I normally kept my mouth shut. I came from a generation that had no dental insurance until later in my life. I still remember my mother asking our dentist to do what he could for me and then gave him a small sum of money that she could spare. But I digress. Dr. Castaneda formulated an excellent treatment plan and soon I had a very natural looking fixed bridge that impressively mimicked natural appearing teeth and my unsightly amalgam fillings were replaced with attractive porcelain crowns. While dental function is important and Dr. Castaneda makes sure her work functions as it should, her long suit is her artistry in providing the patient with the best possible cosmetic outcome that can be achieved. After many years of contentment with my fixed bridge, I decided I wanted to try dental implants in lieu of a bridge. Dr. Castaneda, who stays current on the latest dental advances, agreed that implants would be possible but challenging. Nonetheless, she was confident her crowns over the implants would appear like natural teeth, and indeed they did, but not until Dr. Castaneda and her dental lab burned the midnight oil to get the difficult job done. I am very grateful to Dr. Castaneda for the many years of competent, sincere care I have received from her and her staff. Dr. Castaneda works very hard to make sure your office visit is as positive an experience as possible, much to her credit. I feel truly blessed to have her as my dentist. John A.
