I suffer from dental phobia, Dr. Prada and his staff made my experience a wonderful one. I was super nervous because I knew I needed a lot of treatment. I was born with no molars and always had a hard time while eating or just smiling and people looking at me weird because I didn't have any back teeth. When I first met Dr. Prada he had such a welcoming personality, I knew then that this was the doctor I wanted to do my dental implants. He placed 5 implants, along with a bone graft, and also had to do sinus lifts. Other than the injections I felt no pain whatsoever!! Even after the procedure and the numbness wore off, all I took was a few ibuprofen the first day and that was it. It truly has changed my life and I smile so much more now. I can actually eat steak which I struggled with before. Thank you so much to Dr. Prada and his staff for making this the best experience of my life and giving me such a beautiful smile.
I was very anxious about having my tooth pulled. The whole process was great! From start to finish I didn’t experience any of the things I anticipated. I had zero pain from my surgery- him and his assistant were amazing!!!
I felt so welcomed from the first phone call speaking to Miss Shonnie, she is so pleasant! Dr. Prada and his staff a very knowledgeable about the different kind of therapies out there to help manage sleep apnea. I have mild sleep apnea and I will be getting a oral sleep appliance to help keep my airway open throughout the night. I am so happy that I found this place! Best patient care I have received in a while. Dr.Prada and his staff answered all of my questions and put me at ease. I will be back and I will refer all of my family and friends!! Thank you!!!
Julia,We have multiple research that support the use of a dental implants in any area of the mouth, including the canine area. Your dentist is correct in the sense that the canine provides an important part on the bite and its balance and that we have to make sure the bite is adequate, and by using the correct approach it can be done with long lasting results. My suggestion would be to get in touch with an implantologist that uses the latest technology. In my practice we prescribe a CBCT (3D image), a digital impression of your mouth and with that, I create a digital simulation. Before I do any procedure I have already done it in a computer to verify the bone structure, position of the future crown (tooth) and ideal position of the implant. It is very possible to have a successful, long lasting implant to replace a canine.
