Breast Reduction

Breast reduction scheduled 9 April 2018

I have finally been scheduled for breast reduction and I’m so excited!!! I’m currently size 34G and me and my surgeon decided on a full D. I’ve been going through the process to get approved since September 2017. My surgeon (military hospital) require to to be at a certain BMI. I’ve lost 50lbs(took 7 months) not just for surgery, but or myself. I’ll post a current photo and more after surgery. Updated on 8 Apr 2018: My BR/lift surgery is tomorrow. My time of arrival to the hospital is 5:30 and my surgery is scheduled two hours after. I’m excited, anxious and ready. I’m going to update my journey each day. I’m currently size 34G and reducing to D. I’m 52, 5’3” 178lbs and I have athletic build. It’s going to be hard not going to gym for a while. Any and all comments about after care and what to expect is welcome!! I’ll post again tomorrow. Updated on 8 Apr 2018: Wanted to see how my boobs look while lying down and trying to get a vision of how they’ll look after surgery. 8 April 2018. Updated on 9 Apr 2018: It’s getting real. I’m at the hospital in the fashionable gown. Vitals taken. Now I’m in waiting status. Will update next milestone Updated on 9 Apr 2018: Hi all. Surgery was a success. It took 3 hours. According to my amazing surgeon Dr. DeJesus I’m size C/D. Prior to surgery he said he was going to remove 600 cc’s per breast. I’ll find out more about my results on Friday as I have my follow up appointment. I don’t have drains. I didn’t have much bleeding. I feel okay because the anesthesia always makes me nauseous and blah the first 24 hours after surgery. I don’t have pain. Only occasional burning sensation in my right breast. My right breast was larger than my left. We also agreed on making my areoles smaller. I can’t take off this bra. I have to shower in it ????. You will see the amount of bleeding I have in the photos I took tonight. Appetite isn’t back. I was instructed not to eat dairy tonight. I’ve only had water and Pedialyte. I’m excited to see my breasts on Friday. I’m able to raise my arms above my head already. I’m sleeping with like 9 pillows stacked up behind me in my bed. Sleeping on my back doesn’t bother me. I’m taking my pain pills as directed. I am a very fast healer, I’ve had a few surgeries and my surgeries are amazed at how fast my body heals. God blessed me with good genes. My surgeon’s only concern pre surgery was my scars and I showed him a few of my scars and he said oh you’ll done great. I’m adding a few photos from today and tonight. I’ll update each day so I can give others some insight on what to expect. BTW my surgeon is GORGEOUS... the anesthesia had me telling him exactly how I saw him lol my daughter in law recorded me and I told the man I love looking at his gorgeous face and that he’s gorgeous. lol I told all the nurses that I’m superwoman. Oh my grandson rode on the bed with me to the APU recovery area. My poor baby cried when they rolled me away for surgery and when I came back he didn’t want to leave my bedside. Updated on 9 Apr 2018: Here is a photo comparison pre surgery and post surgery. I’ll have more photos in the next few days and weeks. I’m very excited to see my breast braless. Updated on 10 Apr 2018: I’m feeling much better as the anesthesia has worn off and I don’t have any pain. I’m not taking pain meds. I rode in the car today, no issues with seatbelt. Only was a 20 min ride. I’m just relaxing at home. I was able to take my bra off to apply new gauze. So I took photos. My appetite is getting better. Updated on 12 Apr 2018: I’m doing and feeling well. No pain and all looks to be healing well. I go for my first post-op appointment tomorrow. I’m excited to hear what my surgeon has to say. I was gently running my fingertip over nipples. I can feel a little sensation. The left nipple is more alert lol It’s not taped at all. The right nipple is mostly taped where it’s not I can feel a little sensation. Updated on 13 Apr 2018: I had my first post op appointment today. My PS said all is well. I’m healing and my nipples have more sensation than before surgery, added plus:) I still have the see thru tape on all my incisions and I’m to cut them as they loosen up and my next appointment is June. I purchased a few new bras today from Target. They’re all comfy and wireless. The solid black one is 34D and the others are medium. Updated on 14 Apr 2018: Hi ladies! All is still going well. Healing is coming along. I trimmed some of my tape this morning. I’m doing laundry. So I’m braless right now. I purchased 5 new bras. Excited to see how my work dresses fit. Back to work Monday! Energy is 100%. Updated on 16 Apr 2018: Went back to work today (8hrs) it was good. I have a desk job. Only one person knows why I was out. I went back to the gym today did legs and 50 mins cardio. I had/have no issues from my training session. I did the stair master no bouncing. Legs didn’t require upper body. Overall I feel great. Still pleased with my breasts. I have minimal swelling on the sides. Updated on 23 Apr 2018: I’m doing well. My healing is going well. I just can’t express how pleased I am with my results. My nipples are super sensitive:). Still some swelling. I haven’t purchased anymore new bras since a week ago. I think I’ll be 32D/C (size we chose pre-surgery) once the swelling is gone. I still sleep in surgical bra. I wear wireless bras(32D) during the day (Target). I plan to go to Soma to get measured. Oh I’m back in the gym and did a 5k walk on Sunday. No issues. I’m using virgin cold pressed organic coconut oil and grape seed oil twice a day on incisions plan to add Shea butter also. Updated on 14 May 2018: Just a quick update. My BBL was done on 9 April 2018. I’m 4wks post-op and I haven’t had any issues or complications, my pain was minimal. I’m back in the gym training and all is great!!! I had my appointment on Friday and all went well. They will take after photos (6wks) at my next appointment. I’m very satisfied with my procedure. I’ve only been wearing wireless regular bras and sports bras. I still sleep in the surgical bra. I haven’t gone bras-less other than showers lol. I don’t think I’ll go back to underwire bras. I’m currently 32D but it’s hard to find my size so I go with 34D which is an okay fit, but loose. I think I’m going to try 32/34C to see how that fits me. Updated on 14 May 2018: Adding photos 4wks BBL post-op. 34G pre-op 32D post-op. I’m obsessed with my boobs and I so glad I did this. All the pain I had in my neck, shoulders and back is gone. I praise my PS for the quality of work and his amazing skills. I haven’t gone braless as of yet. My incisions look great, most of the swelling is gone. My nipples are even more sensitive than before and I’m very happy with that added benefit. Updated on 10 Jun 2018: I’m feeling great. I have no restrictions I’m only wearing wireless bra personal choice. I went braless for the first time out last night and it was good. Looked like I was wearing a bra. I have my next follow up in October. I’m healing well. I’m so happy with my boobs. I definitely recommend to any woman who is on the fence about getting this procedure you will feel much better no more pain and
