based upon your picture  it looks like you may be developing a "double bubble" phenomenon.   this occurs when the implant is stting lower than the breast tissue on the chest wall creating two separate folds under the breast.   i would definitely being by talking to your surgeon first, to hear his/her thoughts and opinion, and then potentially meet with another surgeon experienced in secondary breast augmentation, or augmentation revision to discuss options for potential improvement.  hope that is helpful! 

Also,a dent? It's been only 1 year I got breast implants last year..I got the natrelle Allergan high profile 20 silicone unders 650 cc . my left breast seems lower than the other&amp; smaller but Dr. Told me to wait till everything fluffs out and drops. I also noticed a tiny little dent under the breast at an angle to the nipple. I do have my confidence plus 10 yr warranty cards from Natrelle Allergan for the silicone implants but I'm really confused here. I need some feedback &amp;I did travel &amp; my surgeon is in another state...

Thank you for your question there are many factors to consider in choosing the best size implant for any given patient.&nbsp; These include the width of each breast, the amount of skin and natural breast tissue that is already present, &nbsp;and the elasticity of the skin and tissue.&nbsp; One hopeful thought might be to be review your measurements with your surgeon and understand how here she arrives at the volume that was suggested. &nbsp; You might also want to search for the term dimensional planning or the high five system for breast augmentation which try to help eliminate guesswork from implant sizing and determine the volume more objectively.&nbsp;

Hello, I am 5'3" 104 lbs, and athletic getting saline implants placed under the muscle. I'm a 34 a/b wanting to go up 2 cup sizes to a full d. I've done the rice test and the equivalent of 400 ccs looks good. I want to go as big as I can for my size and frame, but still avoiding the fake look and the consequences of having too big of implants (rippling, stretched out skin, etc). I know ultimately it will be my surgeon's decision, but any input from other surgeons would be appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks for your question.&nbsp; I agree with other responders that capsular contracture should be high on the list of possible causes for a firm implant. &nbsp; In addition to the examination and ultrasound that you had your doctor may also consider getting an MRI to look for possible rupture of the implant.&nbsp; When contracture is significant for worsening or if there are concerns for implant rupture removal of the implant and the capsule is occasionally necessary. &nbsp; Replacing the implant with a textured implants may help to reduce the risk of future contracture.&nbsp; All of these are topics to bring up with your surgeon. &nbsp; If you still feel like you need more information getting second or third opinions from other qualified board-certified plastic surgeons is also very reasonable.&nbsp;

Eight years ago, I augmented 235 ml round silicon implants. Recently I noticed that my left breast is harder then the right one and that I could really feel the implant (it's shape and hardness). It's very noticable when I'm lying or when I lift the arm. My surgeon told me it's nothing, just a grade one capsule and that I should massage it. My ultrasound doctor told me that there are few cists and I should use cold bandages. What do you think? Is there anything more I could do? Can it go away?

Thanks for your question.&nbsp; Although it's impossible to say from an online history and photo I would be most concerned about hematoma or bleeding within the pocket of the implant that is occurred.&nbsp; If this is the case you might need additional treatment or possibly even surgery to remove blood clot stop any bleeding and help minimize information that could put you at high-risk of capsular contracture later on. &nbsp; Is totally appropriate to call for urgent visit with your surgeon today or as soon as possible

I got 455 CC silicone under muscle implants inframmary crease, may 1st, my left breast has always been a little higher then the right from the start, but they both dropped nicely and were healing great. I woke up yesterday and didn't notice until I got dressed that my left breast was rising extremely high and was really swollen, I called my PS he said to use my ace wrap for 24 hours and ice it. I did and now I have bruising underneath my left boob. Its very hard too. Help!!!!:(((

Thanks for your question.&nbsp; Based upon your photos it's difficult to assess the symmetry and firmness issues you mention. &nbsp; Although I usually advise my patients to wait six months before considering revision surgery, It is certainly reasonable to expect that your results will be starting to settle at three months postoperative. &nbsp;&nbsp; The most appropriate thing to do is to visit your surgeon and allow him or her to examine the result, and address your concerns face-to-face. &nbsp; Causes of asymmetry and firmness such as capsular contracture are issues that a qualified surgeon should be able to explain thoroughly and clearly. &nbsp;&nbsp;

I had 450 cc filled to 550 cc on both sides under pectoral muscles tranxilary incision. I feel as if 3 months should be enough time to have had them looking normal. I'm wondering if I should be getting a revision. . Please help.

Thank you so much for your question based upon your photo it does seem you have significant excess skin which is not uncommon following massive weight loss. &nbsp; Although when implants drop they will help fill out this lower skin to a small degree I think you might consider adding a mastopexy to optimally position the skin over the implants. &nbsp; It is critically important that anyone considering a lift after augmentation ensure that their surgeon is board-certified and &nbsp;experienced in revision breast surgery. &nbsp; Without proper planning measurement and incision placement problems such as nipple numbness or even nipple loss can occur. &nbsp; I would have an honest discussion with your surgeon about your feelings and would m&m get several other opinions before finally deciding on the plan that will help achieve your goals. &nbsp;

I had my ba on 5-21-14. Right before the surgery my ps said I wonder if we should be just doing a fill or if maybe we should be doing a lift afterall. This is 10 minutes before my surgery. So of course at that point we just hope for the best. I have had gastric bypass and my skin is thin and saggy. Ok so with that explained please see my ugly pictures and advice. When the implants drop will they fill in the lower hanging areas which includes my nipple? My first post opp is on Thursday so I will be able to ask my surgeon questions but would like for any input and encouragement I can get.

Thanks for a very insightful question. &nbsp; Following augmentation, the skin and soft tissue of the breast stretch to accommodate the implant. &nbsp; In women in your age group with healthy, elastic skin, your skin should retract to some degree following downsizing an implant. &nbsp; This should minimize any loose skin while allowing you to feel more comfortable with your result. &nbsp;&nbsp; This is a great question to ask your surgeon at follow up, so that he/she can check your skin elasticity and give you a better estimate of how it will react to downsizing.&nbsp; Good luck on your journey!

Hello! I am 22 years old 5'1 105lbs. My surgeon did an amazing job and gave me the look I wanted but now I don't feel so comfortable with BIG breast. The projection is my main problem. Would there be loose skin if I down size? Would there be a good difference? I wouldn't even mind the high 200cc if there is no minimum size I can go after getting 400cc

Would changing from 400cc HP to 300 mods be a big deal?

It is possible to have air bubbles trapped in a saline implant. &nbsp; &nbsp;Usually all air bubbles are evacuated during the saline fill process in the operating room. &nbsp; If a small amount of air remains in the implant, it may resolve spontaneously over a few weeks. &nbsp; If it persists, then it may be necessary to evacuate the air to get rid of the sloshing sensation. &nbsp;&nbsp; It is very appropriate to bring this up with your surgeon at your next visit. &nbsp;&nbsp; good luck with your journey!

I just had a removal of my silicone implants and replaced them with saline implants. As part of the Dow Corning class action suit, I had. I other choice than saline. The surgery was five days ago and I'm "hearing" bubbles in my right breast like the sounds of a waterbed! Is this normal?

There are a number of possible explanations for what you describe. &nbsp;&nbsp; There is always stretch of the tissues following augmentation, including nerves to the skin and nipple/areola. &nbsp;This can result in "tingling" or "pins and needles" which should resolve within a month or so. &nbsp; If you are feeling bubbles, or a crunching sound, there may be a trapped pocket of air around the implant, that will be slowly but surely absorbed by your body over time. &nbsp; In either case, bringing this to your surgeon's attention at your next postop visit it totally reasonable and worth asking about. &nbsp; Good luck on your journey!

is it normal to get tingling sensation,like little bubbles inside my right breast,3 days post op after silicon 400CC.I don't feel it in my left breast.

Hi - thanks for your question. &nbsp; I would wait until 3-4 months have passed to allow the natural process of lower pole expansion to occur once the implants have settled. &nbsp; At that time, you should review your results and before/after photos with your surgeon. &nbsp; If you still feel that revision will help achieve your goals then it may be reasonable to upsize implants. &nbsp; But i would strongly encourage you to give yourself and your body more time to recover, heal, objectively assess your result. &nbsp;

I recently got 350cc Natrelle style 20 (325cc in one breast) and they seem too small. I read of girls who had similar stats to me who ended up with D's and even DD's with these implants. I was a 32A, 118lbs 5'7" and 26.5" ribcage with 10.5" BWD. I would be happy with a full C or small D but mine look like a B cup. 350cc was the max that I could get in HP and would have to switch to UHP. Now, I am rethinking my decision. I am still able to fit into my size S bikini tops :( Any suggestions?
