I had a wonderful experience (2019 not 2021). My goal was to get rid of my gynecomastia, and Dr. Capraro did. There were absolutely no complications at all. One nurse (that he didn't usually work with) thought was strange that he had me remark myself before the surgery. He did put in a disclaimer before that he couldn't guarantee symmetry, and I'm glad that he did because they are not entirely symmetrical. When I flex, my left side has definition, and my right side has residual fat covering that area. That is me being nitpicky. I am happy with the results and would go back to Dr. Capraro. Updated on 18 Jan 2023: As I previously stated, I’m happy with the results, but would advise others to ask about preventing this for future procedures. Dr. Capraro was great, and to the touch, it’s such a small difference, but it’s right where the muscle at the lower pec pops, so I get that on one side but not the other.
I had considered breast reduction for years, but didn't think we could afford it & I couldn't manage time off form work. I kept hearing of friends who had it done & then friends of my daughters, who were only in their 20's! One girl had it done as soon as things opened a little in May due to COVID. I was so jealous & my daughters told me to just do it! So I figured if insurance would pay, now was the best time to do it since I am working from home. My PC and chiropractor wrote me referrals and I was approved by Cigna immediately! I had surgery 10/6/20 & took the rest of the week off from work. I rested & slept A LOT! This weekend I started weaning myself off the pain killers (Generic valium) & I take Extra Strength Tylenol instead. I do take oxycodone at bedtime to make sure I get some good sleep. I am sore where the stitches are, especially with this super tight bra (ugh). I did come out of surgery with tubes, which was a disappointment, but they really aren't a big deal. One was taken out last week & the other probably will be taken out today.I was a 38-40DDD & I think I am down to a 38C. I swear I have not been this small since Middle School!! I love it. My older sister, who says she is a DD, now says she wants to consider it. All of my sisters (3) are well endowed, but I probably am/was the biggest.Everyone I know who has had this surgery has said it is the best thing they have ever done; medical professionals have told me that no one ever regrets this procedure, but the same cannot be said for those that get implants. Anyway, I am very happy & will update more when I have more to say.
Several years ago, Dr. Capraro fixed me up wonderfully with what I consider "a complete face lift." No more turkey neck, baggy cheeks, droopy eyelids, etc! Since that surgery I have benefited from DOT Therapy and procedures from Facial Aesthetics. I look considerably younger than my age, and my improved appearance motivates me to stay healthy and as trim as I can manage.
Dr. Capraro and his team are outstanding! They truly care about their patients, which shows in their work and dedication throughout the entire process. The skill and professionalism that they demonstrate is extraordinary. I'm beyond happy with my results!
I can't express enough how happy I am with my results Dr. Capraro is amazing. He really took the time to listen and understand what I was looking for. He made sure that I was healthy enough for surgery and even rescheduled my first surgery because I had a low fever in spite of my persistence that I felt fine. He truly does care for his patients. My breasts look amazing and my recovery was very easy. I would do it again in a heart beat.
Dr Capraro is an amazing surgeon. I had breast augmentation surgery done almost 19 years ago. One year after the surgery I became pregnant with our first child. After pregnancy my implants bottomed out, the skin thinned out and stretched significantly, and implant rippling was easily seen in all positions. On top of that my stomach muscle permanently separated(diastasis recti) and the skin stretched immensely. I was/am petite and had big babies. Since the skin on my stomached was stressed beyond the point in which it could ever retract I was left with folds of wrinkled skin covering my stomach. I considered breast revision surgery and a tummy tuck for just about 18 years but finally made the decision to move forward in May of this year. After meeting with a couple of surgeons I realized that the breast revision would be more complicated than I first thought so that was pretty stressful. Due to the thin skin and lack of breast tissue there was some concern about nipple viability and the best approach to get me to the desired results. I was referred to Dr Capraro from another surgeon that was honest and straight forward with me. He said that he could not perform the surgery himself in good faith but gave me the name of Dr Capraro which was really cool of him. After my consultation with Dr C I knew I had finally found the doctor for me. I felt safe and comfortable to move forward at that point. He is kind, experienced and knowledgeable. He went over the realistic expectations I should have given what I was starting with. I wasn’t starting from scratch and I’m almost 40. All that being said, the results exceeded my expectations. The surgery was long(9 hours) but Dr Capraro and staff took great care of me. I can’t speak highly enough about him along with the hospital and staff. I am 7 weeks post-op and feel fantastic. The first couple of weeks were rough recovery wise but I have progressively gotten better with each passing week. I am back into yoga, spin class, hiking and the gym. I started lightly after I was approved by my doctor to begin exercising and have built up a little every week. This is the first week that I have really felt almost back to normal . I know I read this a lot as well, but I wish I would have done this years ago!!

Dr Capraro is a fantastic plastic surgeon, meticulous in his work, genuinely cares about his patients goals and outcomes. I never had worries about procedures because they were explained clearly to me. I had a breast reduction 10yrs ago, and came back for a tummy tuck and abd liposuction. I am so pleased with the outcome. The staff is fantastic, professional and caring. I would definely would refer anyone to him.
I want to go to the pool topless and wear t-shirts and tank tops. I have avoided this since the age of 13. I think that this operation will improve my self esteem. The pain was not bad and after the second day I was able to stop the vicotin and swap it for tylenil extra strength. I was up and walking around on day 2 and day three driving to shop for Vneck tshirts which I have avoided my whole adult life Updated on 23 Jun 2017: Updated on 6 Sep 2019: I still think its worth it. On the left side there is a slight crease in the skin under the ariola where it is not tight as I did not have any skin removed on my procedure but overall I am happy with the results. I have spent more days with my shirt off than I ever have in my life. It is a great feeling to feel comfortable in my own skin.
This was a very personal decision to improve volume loss due to weight loss and hormonal struggles during my early 20s. I waited until I was 30 to make sure I wanted to go through with the procedure, and to make sure I was doing it for the right reasons (i.e. for myself and out of self love, not self hate). I was extremely nervous during the weeks leading up to surgery, but was very fortunate to have a strong support system among family, friends, and my significant other. Now, post op, I believe this is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I feel proportionate and comfortable, and am looking forward to how everything continues to settle. All pre op anxiety was worth it. Find a surgeon you trust, build a small support group of confidants, follow all pre and post op instructions, take your meds, be patient with yourself, and go for it! :) I had a very hard time finding post op progress pics, so I hope these help! Updated on 30 Apr 2017: Sizing: I did 445 cc Natrelle Inspira silicone unders. I'm 5'10 and 140 or so lbs. Updated on 30 Apr 2017: I'd stopped the Valium on day 6 because it was impacting my energy, but as a result I felt it began to negatively impact my drop rate. Started it again last night, and believe it's helping. They're looking and feeling larger.. is this the beginning of the fluff? ???? Who knows! I swear they look different every time I look at them ???? Updated on 1 May 2017: First night I slept through the night, and in bed without having to transition to the reclining couch around 2 am to be able to sit up more. Yay! Updated on 2 May 2017: Updated on 2 May 2017: I know I'm nowhere near my final result, but the progress thus far is incredible. Updated on 3 May 2017: Third day off all meds. Had a small accident last night where I lost my balance reaching for something and caught myself in a push-up position in order to prevent myself from hitting my head. It HURT, and I was really worried that I'd done some damage. I don't see any bruising this morning, but am definitely more sore than I'd expect given my progress over the past couple of days. I have a two week post op appointment in a couple days so I'll talk to him about it then. Fingers crossed this was just a fluke and I didn't any permanent damage. Updated on 8 May 2017: Am using NewGel+ strips and they're healing the incisions nicely. Massage 2x per day. Numbness on the bottoms still, but have read this might take six months to resolve. I like how they're dropping! And they're loosening up.
There is a variety of methods for accomplishing breast lift. Under the simplest of conditions, when the breasts are small, the insertion of an implant may entirely correct the sagging problem, providing all of the lift necessary. However, if the laxity is too great, removal of excess skin – with or without the simultaneous use of an implant – is the method of choice. There are several techniques to do this. The most frequently used procedure results in a very youthful elevation of the breasts with a fine line scar around the areola and an inverted-T scar below it. Unless you have come from out-of-town for surgery, are having several procedures performed simultaneously, or have special reasons for requiring overnight care, mastopexy is most often done as an outpatient/day-patient. Various anesthetic techniques may be used in mastopexy surgery. Under most circumstances, general anesthesia (complete sleep). Occasionally, a technique known as a "thoracic epidural" anesthetic is used. A physician anesthesiologist to provide the safest, most controlled form of anesthesia administers both.
