I had a breast uplift and implants with Peter in December 2024. After losing a lot of weight and breastfeeding 2 children my breasts had been left look very sad! After researching local providers and speaking with friends I found Peter, his reviews were great and the after photos helped me feel I was in safe hands.

I first had a consultation with Peter and after the cooling off period decided that I wanted to go ahead. I initially wanted 320cc however after researching further online wanted to go slightly bigger. I was invited back for another consultation to ensure I got the size I wanted, Peter advised me that 490cc would give me the look that I wanted without feeling fake.

The day of surgery I was terrified but everyone was lovely and put me at ease. I was worried about pain afterwards and for me a few days with paracetamol was enough. I made sure I followed Peters instructions and took it easy for the first 2 weeks.


At my unveiling appointment I was so excited to see what was below the bandages. I honestly couldn’t have been prepared for how great they looked. Peter had managed to give me breasts that were better than anything I had ever had or imagined. The pictures attached speak for themselves, I did have some happy tears seeing them for the first time.

The scars are very minimal and I can’t believe how quickly they have healed.

I did a lot of research before this operation and would highly recommend Peter. He is honest and truly cares about the results and even at my sign off appointment reminded me that if I need anything he is still there.

I cannot describe the change this has given me, I got new confidence overnight and for the first time in my life can’t wait to wear a bikini.

I don’t think I could ever express my thanks to Peter, if you are thinking of cosmetic surgery I wouldn’t go to anyone else but him.

I had a rhinoplasty with Peter in August 2022, when I started looking around for plastic surgeons I found that there were a vast amount spanning the country all of whom were charged initial consultation fees of £100 or more so you can’t really ‘shop about’ as such for this kind of treatment, therefore I chose a surgeon local to me which happened to be the North East and Peter is by the far the most experienced from research.

He is an honest and to the point man which, as you’ll see on his reviews, is exactly what you want when someone is performing a life changing operation, it’s not a sales pitch it’s a consultation in which he will inform you of the risks and will manage expectations.

Interestingly, and I didn’t actually know this until taking hundreds of photos on an inverted phone camera around the time of my surgery, my face is rather lopsided naturally and my mouth is pinched to one side - amazingly Peter understood this and gave me a nose which fits my face. It probably wouldn’t look right on someone else but it’s not always about the nose it’s how it looks on your face which I think he really aims for when he gives you the new look. Would highly recommend Peter for anyone going for a nose job, great guy!

In March 2024 I underwent diastasis recti repair following a vertical, abdominal hysterectomy which I had in Dec 2022. This was finished off with a beautifully neat tummy tuck.

Oct 2023 was my first consultation with Peter and he was very honest with the operation, recovery and what I needed to do to prepare, including loosing 2 stone. I did everything he asked to put me in the best possible shape.

The op itself is a huge decision and the recovery time needed must not be underestimated. You must ensure you have a good support system at home.

The pain was worse than I imagined however the long-term results and the confidence that the surgery has given me was worth it.

I returned to the hospital regularly for checkups and when I was not happy with the ‘dog ears’ (once my skin had settled), Peter easily repaired these during a follow-up surgery under local anaesthetic.

The care I received was excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending Peter to my friends and family alike.

I attended a consultation with Mr Hodgkinson at the beginning of the year after being let down by a previous surgeon from a different private hospital. He was very welcoming, helpful and very honest about the whole process. Peter explained the pros and cons to the surgery whilst emphasising the want for a perfect nose is unachievable, this was scary to hear but also I really liked how honest he was about it all, it really made me trust him and know that he isn’t steering me into getting it done and making my decision as informative as possible.

I had my surgery on 1st March 2024 at the cobalt hospital. The only downside is I thought I would have had a private room and would be able to take my mam or my fiancé with me for support because this was a super nerve racking thing to do but they had to wait in the waiting room the whole time due to other patients privacy, and you were in a small open bay therefore they weren’t able to visit me once I had woken up. (I know I’m an adult but sometimes we just need our loved ones to support us through this) so because of this my anxiety was super heightened. But the nurses and medical team were lovely and guided me through the whole process!

The surgery went well, took a few hours, I woke up and was quite uncomfortable but the nurse was able to get me some codine to help the pain. I was then transferred from the bed to a chair which made me feel so so sick but thankfully it soon passed over and I was able to eat some of the food provided to be.
Mr Hodkingson popped his head in to see how I was doing for a short period but if I’m honest I can’t really remember much of what he said because I felt dreadful haha.
The nurses were fab! So caring and helpful & for the few hours I had to stay in I just FaceTimed my family and the time passed quite quickly!

If I’m honest the whole first week was awful, I was in a lot of pain, struggled to sleep or eat and getting the tubes out of my nostrils after 7 days was really painful. The swelling was as expected but the bruising was much better than expected.
The cast and tape was very annoying at times and got super itchy I kept this on for around 18 days & by god you get some funny looks of people walking around with it on your face haha

I got my cast removed and my nose was sooo different! It’s strange how different you look, my side profile was amazing, from the front my nose was more swollen on one side and my nose and nostrils were asymmetrical.

I’m around 5 weeks post op now and I’m starting to get used to my face looking so different and I love my nose from the side! It’s totally changed my face. My nose still remained asymmetrical and quite swollen and wide from the front but I have to trust to process and I still have a lot of healing to do! I still have the scar under my nose and numbness to the tip and underneath my nose but other than that it’s all good, just hoping the symmetry gets better with time

I would highly recommend Peter to anyone,who is looking for any cosmetic procedure. I already have done.
You will not get any better than Peter.
His years of experience in all types of procedures are second to none.
My friends are advance nurses and when they looked at my scar they said to me, in all their 20 years experience they have not seen stitching as good! The scar is so fine.

I saw three surgeons before deciding on Mr Hodgkinson. He immediately put me at ease and I felt reassured and in safe hands. I had several appointments with him before booking in for the surgery. I managed to avoid an uplift and had 390cc teardrop implants under the muscle. They were bigger than I initially wanted but Mr Hodgkinson advised me that they were the most appropriate and he was absolutely right and pleased I trusted his judgement. I’ve gone from a saggy B cup to a 32 DD/E which look very natural and suit my frame. His whole team were fantastic on the day of surgery and looked after me very well with no delays. My only regret is that I didn’t have them done sooner.

He was fairly blunt and to the point but honest and competent. My eyes were already asymmetrical and ptosis of the eyelid muscle especially the left eye, made it worse and skin was pooling on the eyelid

I had a cyst in my cheek that was large and growing. I didn’t know where to start with having it removed and had previously had it dismissed by my NHS GP. I was recommended to see Dr Peter Hodgkinson at Cobalt Hospital. Dr Hodgkinson made clear to me that it would be important to remove the cyst and helped me understand what it would involve.
Appointments were offered to me quickly and my surgery appointment was prompt.
I had all my questions answered and I was well informed.
I went in as a day patient. The whole team helped to reassure me, inform me and answer questions. I was put under general anaesthetic as it was a large cyst and the operation would take 40 mins on my face. The anaesthetists were brilliant, friendly and great at what they do. I suffered no sickness or confusion as a result.
When I woke up I was in no pain and have suffered no pain at all since either. This can only be a result or the accuracy and care taken by Dr Hodgkinson in removing the cyst.
I left with a clear glue/skin over my face and had some swelling from where the local anaesthetic had been injected and a little bit of bruising. The blue pen from pre surgery marking remained. It took approximately a week for all of this to reduce. In two weeks it is now a very small area of glue and a wound area.
I can’t thank the team enough for what they have done and the care I received. Dr Peter Hodgkinson is a very accurate surgeon and I was lucky to be able to have my surgery performed by him.

I had closed rhinoplasty in march 2023 after never having any surgery before and I’m really happy with my results even though I’m only 10 weeks post op.

I felt like I wasn’t pressured into the surgery at all it was more the other way around, which I liked as I didn’t want a surgeon trying to convince me or push me into booking the surgery. Peter was really chilled about the whole thing, he hand drew my nose told me how it would look and I was happy with that. I wanted it to be as natural as possible and wanted it to look like the nose I could of been born with, and what I ended up having done was very small alterations to give me a perfect nose for my face.

I was absolutely terrified going into the surgery almost shaking with nerves but all the staff were exceptionally lovely and reassuring I can’t rate them enough.

When I woke up I felt terrible, but Peter came through straightaway to tell me he was really happy with how the surgery went and he was confident I would love it.

I felt really sick after being transferred into a recliner and I had to have some anti sickness medication so I could dip some digestives in my cup of tea to eat. Reality is you can’t really eat at all with how limited your movement is in your face.

I had no pain, just discomfort from the pressure of swelling and the face cast.



I was discharged after 4 hours and felt much perkier with my boyfriend laughing at how bad I looked.

You definitely need a nurse maid for the first 4-5 days, the pain kicks in day 3/4 for me but trying to sleep was awful. My nose gel stents fell out of day 5 into my Greek yogurt, so the swelling seemed to go down fairly quickly, or so I thought.

The face cast was awful and itchy and very uncomfortable but my dog banged my face a few times so I was great full for it being there.

It fell off after 2 weeks and 6 days, I wasn’t meant to have it removed until 3 1/2 weeks but I’d had some wine and the already loose tape just came off in my sleep and I didn’t bother putting it back on. I really got a good look at the shape at this point even though there was tape over my nose that I was too scared to remove, I instantly loved it but it was still very swollen. There was random lumps and bumps everywhere when I touched it, and it was really sore but I tried not to panic too much and kept telling myself your not even a month post op yet stop over thinking it.



I saw Peter and he took the remaining tape off my nose and said it looked like it was healing well, the inside of my nose was very very sore and full of bogies which was awful, the stitches were also slightly visible on one side but they take a few months to dissolve so I had to just wait for those to go once the inside healed.



I’ve been for my final appointment today 10 weeks after surgery and it is still hard and stiff so got some more healing to do, there was a lump like a pea on one side that I was really worried about 4-8 weeks post op but it’s gone down dramatically in the last week and it’s barely visible now so you just need to give it plenty of time to heal. I’m over the moon with the finished look and would definitely recommend Peter.

I had surgery done from Mr hodkingson in January so I already felt confident and comfortable with him.
I tried going to drs for my moles removed on my face as I've always hated them and they make me so self conscious that I'd wear the thickest make up you could to cover them and always wear my hair down.
The procedure took 30 mins.
I was awake with two injections which was a barrable sharp scratch and removed. The nurses and Peter were brilliant as normal and now I feel amazing they are not fully healed yet but I already have so much for confidence.
