I have been a patient of Dr. Gardners for many years. His ability to relate to his patients is a very calming and caring characteristic. He answers questions with patience and above all, no pressure. The sugeries that I have had, fat augmentation and a neck/chin lift have given me a renewed and fresh look without appearing as if it's not a totally natural look. I continue to have fillers and Botox by Dr. Gardner and would NEVER consider going to someone else for these procedures. The staff are incredible! They know their patients by name, interact in a supportive manner and most of all, are very knowledgeable about the procedures and always willing and able to answer questions.I would very highly recommend Dr. Gardner and his staff.
I wanted my double chin and jowls gone, yet I wanted a refreshed look, not a different one. I spent a long time researching doctors. I knew Dr. Gardner wants to help you look younger, not different. Surgery prep was so easy. Nicole was wonderful, and I met Crystsl and Danielle, both of whom would be in surgery. Dr. Gardner came in and marked my face. He was as kind as ever. Vesna was my anesthetist and reviewed everything. And then… I woke up. When I came out of surgery, my head and chin were wrapped up, and I had drain tubes on either side of my neck. I opted to stay in their facility until the next morning. Eileen took care of me for the day and Beth took care of me overnight. Both were kind and attentive. I highly recommend taking advantage of that 24 hour care. It took stress off my husband. Of course, if you have a more comfortable recliner at home, and a husband willing to wait on you, take advantage of that, too. Day 2 - going home It feels like a steel collar wrapped around my neck. Pain is uncomfortable, but bearable. It definitely gets more sore after talking or chewing. Almost like my neck is yelling “shut up and let me rest.” Lovely bruising along my neck. I was warned that bruising will worsen before it gets better. Doc gave me arnica pills to be taken for next 7 days. Day 3 - couch potato Okey, more like recliner potato. Muscle relaxers are my friend. They keep the neck muscles at rest. Don’t skip them; no matter how much you think you are relaxing on your own, your neck will constantly tighten and release… and eventually throbbing commences. The relaxers are a life saver. If I overdo it, I take a pain pill. Stay ahead of it. I’m a motor mouth. So I’m learning moderation. Or trying to. Day 4 - semi channel surfing It’s hard to relax this long. I’m forcing myself because I know overdoing it will exacerbate swelling. Despite sitting and resting, swelling is increasing. The lines in my face are disappearing. Which normally we women would celebrate, but I’m kind of getting a very fluffy look about the face… and the body! No one told me I’d be retaining water (all over!) while my body goes into repair mode. Day 5 - multicolored Ah the bruising! The color yellow is flattering to a select few people. I am not one of them. I’m also seeing more blue/purple showing up on my face. My neck is looking less purple and more yellow. Marionette lines are showing more bruising. Also a couple spots on my chin. I’ve accepted it’s going to get worse before better. I’m following instructions, but I’m still looking like a puffer fish. On the plus side, while my neck still feels tight, it’s not painful. Muscle relaxers and pain pills are no longer needed. Yay me! Update: I took a muscle relaxer. Note to self: no chewy foods yet. Ow. Day 6 My son stopped by and was surprised I didn’t look worse. The feeling of tightness and swollen ears apparently isn’t as visible to others as it feels like to me. My neck is a brighter yellow. And my cheek looks like it’s trying hard to bruise, so the next few days will tell. Pain is minimal; just the ears randomly smarting which Tylenol helps. Updated on 27 Aug 2024: Onto day 7 now. Feeling better! I’ll add another picture later. I’m posting this lengthy review because when I was researching what to expect, I couldn’t find detailed information on daily recovery. Hence, my wordiness. And my recovery is ongoing, so updates will continue as I progress. Updated on 27 Aug 2024: I think from here on out, I will post every two or three days. No pain, swelling and bruising not to bad right now. Amazing to me that surgery was last Wednesday, and here it is Tuesday, not even a full week and I’m feeling so good! Staples coming out in a couple hours. I’m even having company for dinner. Nope, I’m not cooking (they are bringing it in!) since I’m still taking it easy. Updated on 3 Sep 2024: Whew, nice feeling. I had regular sutures because my body doesn’t do dissolvable stitches. Still some swelling. But feeling like I can go out of the house now without stitches hanging under my chin. Lisa is Dr. Gardeners assistant and she is wonderful! Updated on 4 Sep 2024: Feeling so good! And so pleased with look of things even though I still have some swelling. (I’m posting again my before photo to see the change in my neck, chin and jowls in just two weeks post-op.)) Can’t recommend Dr. Gardener enough! I had to wait 5 1/2 months for an opening with Dr. Gardener, and I’m so glad I was patient and waited. Worth the wait and worth the cost. I’ll keep updating as I finish healing. Note: Kudos to Zoey at the front desk. Always a happy and friendly presence each time I’m at Naples Plastic Surgery! Updated on 11 Sep 2024: Feeling so good! Most swelling is gone; just a bit of puffiness randomly. I found a couple of stitches inside the edge of my ear. Lisa did tell me when she removed my stitches that she would take out whatever ones were ready. I have my 3-week post-op appointment tomorrow so will get the last couple out. Wow, I know they say that it takes six months for your final look, but I’m tickled at three weeks. Not sure yet how the fat transfer will finalize since some cells die, but the “lines” of fat have dissipated and it’s looking very natural. Updated on 18 Sep 2024: I am feeling so good! My picture is a little blurry, (I am bad at selfies). No bruises, no swelling other than a bit under my chin. Doing massages now to work it out. I still feel a little tightness on the sides of my face. In the beginning, that feeling of a collar around my neck was very distracting. The slight tightness now doesn’t even phase me as I go about my days. I am 60 years old (as my silver hair loudly announces) and what thrills me the most is seeing pictures of me holding my granddaughter, and none of them have hanging cheeks and wrinkled up multi-chins. I know 6 months is the “real” final outcome, but so happy even now. If I haven’t said it enough, Dr. Gardner is amazing.
After searching for a plastic surgeon, Dr. Gardner was at the top of the list. His knowledge and compassion for his patience are outstanding. He explains each and every step of each procedure so there are no surprises or shocks. His staff are very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. It’s been 11 weeks since my facelift and I couldn’t be more pleased. He has taken years off my appearance, leaving me look very natural.
Dr. Gardner and the whole team at Naples Plastic Surgery were incredible to work with - several of the folks I met had all been working together for many years. My surgery results were more than I could have hoped for and that feeling began with the first time I walked in the office. Everyone is super friendly, helpful and caring and you know you’re in good hands. Dr. Gardner is realistic (and conservative) in his approach and he has an easy going and enjoyable personality. The surgery itself was easy and fast with recovery time as promised. I love my result! My takeaway: there’s no other place to go if you’re considering procedure - they are the best!
At 8 weeks post op I am very pleased with my results. I consulted with local four surgeons before I met with Dr Gardner. He set himself apart from the others by his careful listening and intentional questions to understand my goals. It was clear to me that he considered my personal goals before he laid out his plan for my consideration. Even though their pre & post op guide addressed 90% of my concerns, my questions were answered clearly and patiently. All interactions with Dr Gardner and his team were timely and informational throughout the whole process – from initial scheduling to my 8 week check in just yesterday. Response times to questions pre-op and post-op were within an hour or two. With years of experience working together, they operate as a cohesive, closely knit team. Throughout the process I believed I was receiving the highest standard of care. I did not have a moment of worry or concern. I also opted to stay overnight after my procedures to relieve my husband of first night care. That proved to be a wonderful decision as I was able to stay in place and have the benefit of a private nurse to care for me until the next morning. I also highly recommend the at home nursing service for a day or two. I highly recommend Dr Gardner and his team. And I could not be happier with my surgical results.
Dr Gardner is simply the best! I could not possibly be more happy with my procedure. Not only do I look 20 years younger but it so natural no one would ever know I had it done unless I tell them. His staff is equally as wonderful, always taking whatever time is necessary to make sure all my questions are answered. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Gardner and his staff for any procedures you are considering.
I am a person who does my due diligence when searching for a physician. My goal was to find a brilliant, seasoned surgeon that would also listen to my concerns. Upon meeting Dr Gardner, my search successfully ended. I found his attention to detail unparallel, but it was his uncanny vision of what needed to be done to give me the results I was looking for.... and he delivered!!! Simply said, Dr Gardner is an expert in his field with so much experience, you're guaranteed excellent results. Thank you Dr Gardner, I am elated with the results! I highly recommend him.
I went to Dr. Gardner after having an eye doctor remove the fat from my lid. The results were awful. So I went to see Dr. Gardner to see if he could help fix my eyes. Well, my surgery was yesterday and my eyes look better than when I went in yesterday! I have been blessed to meet so many wonderful plastic surgeons in Cambridge MA that I thought I would never find one as great here....but I did. Be very careful and do your homework. The first plastic surgeon, was a women and looked beautiful so I hired her. What a mistake. I am so happy I was introduced to DR. GARDNER. I WISH I COULD GIVE HIM 10 STARS. Take the time to meet with him and you will be too!
I went to Dr. Gardner in July 2022 for a mini facelift at the suggestion of a friend, and I'm so glad I did. From start to finish, he and his team were warm, welcoming and professional. I had a lot of questions, and everyone made me feel relaxed and reassured. The recovery time was minimal, and the results are --- in a word -- incredible. I would highly recommend Dr. Gardner, and would definitely return to his practice for any future cosmetic procedures. Thank you again!
Dr Gardner and the team at Naples plastic surgery was amazing. Dr Gardner took the time to listen to my needs not just tell me what he thought was right he listen to what I wanted and we came to what was the best decision for me. His team from beginning to end was absolutely outstanding and I recommend them highly..
Hi Megan. The price for cellulaze depends on the treatment area, not on the severity of your cellulite.
Fat transfer is a great way to add volume. How much fat survives after injection depends on the way it is harvested, how it is prepared, and how it is injected. It does best when removed in a gentle fashion, prepared in a similar fashion, and injected in small aliquots, into small tunnels. This technique gives the body a chance to grow blood vessels into the fat to keep it alive. Typically, one can expect anywhere from 40 to 60% of the fat to “take”. The rest is absorbed by the body. Therefore, I tend to “over-correct” when I inject knowing it will come down quite a bit, and sometimes follow the initial injection with a touch up.
I advise patients to have avoid botox for three months prior to an upper eyelid lift. This allows the surgeon to see the skin excess without the lifting effect of the botox.
Typically, Botox injections take between 7-10 days to see the full result. If you still don't see a result after 10 days, you should follow up with your doctor.
Our office requires payments to me made in full prior to each patient's surgery. If a payment plan is the best option for the patient, we would recommend the patient to apply for Care Credit and we will accept this as payment.
