Cheeks - Juvederm Voluma Lips - Juvederm Ultra XC Plus Nasolabial folds, undereye, jaw - restalyne forehead - botox (I think just one syringe of each) After a pretty serious illness + weight loss, I was looking pretty worn. I'm so happy with the results. Dr. Figlia is truly an artist and he very carefully and intentionally placed the filler. He has a great bedside manner and didn't overdo it. I wanted something subtle and natural and he listened to me. He also has a skilled aesthetician who is going to use lasers for my acne scarring. I know I have a little makeup on in the second photo, but the results were indeed really great. It made my face a little wider which I think looks softer and more feminine.
Hello ladies, I was referred to Dr. Figlia by a family member that has seen his work first hand. I first went for a consult in NYC & the surgeon said I needed a lift and I was totally turned off by him. On my way home from that consult I called up Figlia's office and his receptionist was so nice (later found out it was his mother). Booked the appointment & he has two offices in New Jersey (Edison & West Orange). He explained the procedure asked me what look I was looking for and was very attentive to what I wanted. Truly made me feel as what I wanted mattered, he made his recommendations with no word of a breast lift. He explains the chances of complications & I left there with a possible date! Updated on 2 Sep 2014: About a week 1/2 before surgery Dr. Figlia saw me again, we rediscussed what my target look is. He told me to bring him pictures of what I like and what to expect for surgery. Went to the hospital where he performs his surgeries for pre-op. They took blood work & stats, only took 15-20 minutes. The night before surgery hospital called to confirm my surgery and inform me of not to eat/drink anything. No jewelry, shower in the morning but no deodorant/lotions. I barely slept that night just so excited but was able to clean & finish laundry so I would have minimum house work to take care of. Updated on 2 Sep 2014: Woke up very early of course & got to hospital early (6am) which was great since I got taken care of first! My stats where taken again, complete bloodwork & pregnancy test then change of clothes. About an hour later I was brought up to the surgery prep room, Dr. Figlia brought sizers and we agreed on 350-375cc. He marked me up, discuss post-op care which was don't touch anything, stay wrapped and no showers (YIKES) just sponge baths! He had previously instructed me to not purchase any bras or anything since the size changes so much. So I went night night, surgery began about 9am!! Once I was woken up by the nurses I was so exhausted & only wanted to go back to sleep. They had me drink a little apple juice & eat graham crackers. Thankfully I was able to pee (took like 10-15 mins), you can't be discharged until you pee and I was able to leave at 3:30pm. Got home and other then take a quick picture I didn't acknowledge the boobs that whole day. Didn't even touch them & slept the rest of the day. I recommend you shut your phone, my whole family kept texting to check on me but it got very annoying. Updated on 2 Sep 2014: 375cc Silicone smooth round Mentor, under the muscle, Mod+ Pre-op 32B going for "natural" shape Day 1: Slept/rested...very sore & hard(no real pain) Day 2: Slept/Rested.... very sore & hard(no real pain) Day 3: Rested & spasms began, right boob can hear squishy sound on the top of the breast. Peeing had been difficult since surgery (very common as a side effect of anesthesia) and really had to concentrate to urinate, had been pushing so hard I got a hemorrhoid(sorry I know it's gross). Day 4: I had to see my boobs ( I peeked & pic attached), doctor said not to touch but couldn't help myself. Everything looked so good. Mid-day I traveled to see some family 1.5 hours each way but while I was there I became so tired & sore like I over did it. By the time I got home I was a mess and felt bloated again. Lot's of spasms and it was my worst day. Also took 2 stool softener and finally emptied my bowls. Day 5: Just kept resting was recovering from so much activity the day before. Day 6: It's today, doing well but can't wait for my post-op on Thursday so I can take of this wrap!! Updated on 4 Sep 2014: Today was my post-op at 8 days (took so long due to holiday). Thankfully everything looks great, no massaging yet as I'm still sore but measured at a 34C. The right breast has begun to drop but he doesn't foresee them dropping too much. Updated on 5 Sep 2014: Almost free of soreness except of course that "morning boob" but once I begin to move around it's better. Started working today and got tired faster then usual but then it's very humid & hot today. Kids wanted to go into the pool so I decided to put my feet in (no pools/spas for 6 weeks), bad part have to get rid of a 2 bathing suit tops (plus all my bras of course) but is that really something to complain about? LOL I'm so in love with my results, under normal clothes they give me a pretty silhouette but once unleashed they are soooo sexy!! I can't stop taking pics of them. Yes I know they are still changing but Doctor didn't see much swelling. Go back on Tuesday for a check up Dr. Figlia and will update then unless something exciting happens until then! Updated on 7 Nov 2014: Almost 3 months and they are looking more and more natural! No pain, began working out a few weeks ago and no issues at all. Using Scaraway strips on the incision and it looks great so far. They now really feel as my own. I am still not comfortable showing them off in tops, always find myself pulling the shirt up but I'm sure I'll get over that soon. Victoria Secret has me at a 32D but band feels a bit tight & a 34C is too loose. I want to go to LaPerla and go wild with their gorgeous bras. Overall my confidence is through the roof & I can't thank my outstanding doctor enough. I feel amazing! Updated on 10 Nov 2014: Sorry ladies I never gave my stats! I'm 5'1, 130lbs. I WAS pear shaped but now have my hourglass figure :) New Boobs: Mentor 375CC moderate + Updated on 10 Nov 2014: As requested!
This was one of the worse doctors visits I have ever had. Dr Figlia was constantly answering the phone (while I was talking to him!!), talking to the nurses about things that had nothing to do with me, completely distracted and the worse part, he made fun of me. Basically called me helpless. Incredible. I felt horrible. I wouldn't recommend him to my worse enemy. The nurses looked like they put up with a lot of abuse. I feel for them.
