To begin with, Dr. Durand is an incredible surgeon.
I began doing research for a plastic surgeon to do my rhinoplasty earlier last year. I had spoken with other surgeons and although they seemed knowledgeable, I hadn’t felt secure enough to choose any of them for this procedure. My mother in law told me about Dr. Durand, which was the doctor who did her breast augmentation. Her results for that procedure were perfect, so I decided to take a look into Dr. Durand. After some research, I decided to schedule an appointment with him for a consultation primarily about my previous breast augmentation that I had with a different surgeon and secondarily about the possibility of a rhinoplasty.
The consultation felt so genuine and comfortable. Dr. Durand has the best bedside manners. Firstly, I presented him with my concerns about my previous breast augmentation. Unlike other surgeons I talked to, his concern was discovering what was causing my pain rather than suggesting a new surgery (which other surgeons immediately jumped to and that likely would have cost a lot). Here, he presented himself as a true doctor rather than someone trying to make a dollar. At that point, I felt comfortable enough to talk about the rhinoplasty. He explained everything to me. What to expect, what would look good for my features and ultimately what I wanted.
His background is impressive given his education, mission work, and his involvement in the first facial transplant surgery in the U.S. So, I decided he was the right doctor to handle my septorhinoplasty.
The surgery went great. My swelling has gone done so much and it’s only been three weeks since my surgery. He did such a beautiful job and I am so incredibly happy with my results. Additionally, he provides detailed written information on what to expect after the surgery, how to use your medication, how to clean your incision site, and other frequently asked questions. The staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend him.
