Rhinoplasty and Nose Shaping
Rhinoplasty is one of my top specialties. I have a great deal of expertise performing both primary and revision rhinoplasty, as well as reconstructive and preservation rhinoplasty. There are many reasons patients consider rhinoplasty surgery. Some don’t love the nose they were born with, perhaps due to a dorsal hump or unrefined tip. Others may have survived an accident that changed the appearance of their nose, or had a negative outcome from a prior surgery and want to have it revised. It’s important to have realistic expectations and to be clear about your motivations. It is not out of the norm for me to meet with you for two or three consultations, to ensure you have all the information you need, as well as time to digest it and ask questions before undergoing your procedure. I also use Vectra H2 3D imaging, to ensure that we are aligned on the desired outcome.

Dr. Paul Wilson is a registered plastic surgeon and a specialist head and neck surgeon with several locations in the United Kingdom: Bristol, Newport, Worcestershire, and the Wood Estate in Devon. Uniquely qualified to perform a broad range of reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery procedures of the face and body, Dr. Wilson is best known for his incredible skill and natural-looking results from breast enhancement, tummy tucks, and mummy makeover surgery, as well as facelifts and rhinoplasty.
A native of Yorkshire, England, Dr. Wilson earned his medical degree from the University of Leicester and a degree in dental surgery from the University of Liverpool before training in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Wilson was made a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons.
He then pursued training in general surgery and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh before specialising in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Wilson was named plastic and reconstructive surgery consultant of Bristol’s Frenchay Hospital in 2010.
As a specialist head and neck surgeon, Dr. Wilson is known for his expertise with oculoplastic surgery, as well as facial paralysis surgery, to help restore symmetry after facial palsy. Within the UK’s National Health Service, he is also the lead reconstructive surgeon for patients who have survived sarcoma. In addition to this intensely precise work, Dr. Wilson is exceptionally skilled at performing aesthetic procedures of the face, breast and body.
Dr. Wilson is on the United Kingdom’s General Medical Council (GMC) specialist register for plastic surgery. He is also a proud member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the Rhinoplasty Society of Europe, and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
When Dr. Wilson isn’t performing aesthetic and reconstructive surgeries in Bristol, he travels abroad for volunteer work, using his surgical expertise to help those in need. One of the organizations he works with is Facing Africa, a UK-registered charity dedicated to helping survivors of a noma, an infection that rapidly destroys soft tissues of the mouth, lips, and nose. Dr. Wilson regularly travels to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to help noma survivors by performing complex reconstructive facial surgery on children and adults. He also travels frequently to attend international aesthetics conferences and meet with other specialists in his field.
In his downtime, Dr. Wilson enjoys all that Bristol has to offer with his partner. He stays fit by cycling and kite surfing, and enjoys flying.
