Life Gets a Second Chance - Toronto, Canada

Pro's = fast weight loss, improved health Con's = Surgery Improved health, mobility, live longer, self esteem Updated on 11 Feb 2011: I had a very easy time of it. The only thing I would wish is that there was more support and guidance for us out there. With the help of my support group I pretty much fiqure things out on my own. I had no complications. I don't experience the dumping syndrome. I eat pretty much anything and other than having lost 80 pounds I don't feel like I even had surgery. For me I find I am satified with a couple of good 3/4 cup size meals a day and a protien shake. I do experience hunger but nothing compared to pre surgery. If I could say something I feel is important it would be this... This is not a miracle this is a tool to use. It's up to you. This is a diet for life. You can not just go and eat whatever you want and still lose weight. You still have to work at it. I could eat much more than I do and I could eat lots of things that are bad for me because I don't dump. However, I take advantage of the fact I am satified with lighter fare and a little of this and that. It's still very important to make good choices.
