I Felt Safe In His Hands

When I met Patrick, he listened to my concerns and explained the procedures to me clearly. I had a Nano Fat transfer with small amount of accompanying lipo, lip augmentation and blepharoplasty. After meeting him, I felt at ease and my nerves about what could potentially go wrong (on my face) swiftly changed to a ridiculous amount of excitement. My judgement was not misplaced and 11 days out of surgery, there is very little public evidence that I have gone under surgery, with the sole exception that I look and feel so much better! The best thing for me is that my confidence has improved tremendously. I no longer avoid mirrors. I want to to go out and for the first time ever, my plan is to indulge in selfies! I am tremendously grateful to Dr. Tonnard. For me, cosmetic procedures are not about chasing youth or perfection, I've earned my years. It was about being comfortable in my own skin. Now, I certainly am.

Consultation Review: strange consult dr Tonnard, Belgium

I went this month to dr. Tonnard for information about the croton oil peeling. He looked at my face and told me that would not be enough. I needed a macs-facelift, peeling or laser full face, upper eyelidlift, lipofilling and a liplift!! Costs: 12.000 euro Thank you very much! I'm glad that I read several reviews on this website, for me nothing from this 'docter'

Listen to my Horrible Experience with Patrick Tonnard. Belgium, BE

I did a huge mistake went to Ghent, Belgium and had a Rhinoplasty, and fat grafting, at this clinic by patrick Tonnard. He did a horrible job. Everything went horribly wrong. Completely opposite of what we agreed on. I had a normal, functional nose before the operation, and he gave me a crooked, insensitive nose with rounded tip, asymmetric nostrils, and besides all that I have problems breathing through one nostril. Tonnard never contacted me for any check-ups! I was the one who approached him again and again, because I was very much unhappy with the results. but then he dismissed my problems and said i have to wait for another 1- 1.5 years. The fact is, despite of almost 2 years waiting I have given Tonnard plenty of opportunities to rectify his mistakes. It has been a nightmare communicating with Tonnard. He never has time. doesn't answer e-mails, and actually does´t care. I never thought it could be possible but he can be so rude, and hang up the phone on you. I had also fat grafting under both eyes, and cheekbones. The results was good to start with, but again after almost 2 years everything is gone, and I am there when i was before the operation. waste of money again! I DO NOT recommend Coupure Centrum or E:MC2 which is their surgical clinic located 14km south of Gent to anyone. Save your money, Do your research, and find a better doctor. There are lots of good doctors out there. Updated on 17 Nov 2015: Here you can clearly see how my nose looked like before the surgery, and how Tonnard destroyed it. Image 2 is taken 2.5 years after the surgery.

Swelling came down - turned up, collapsed, crooked nose.

I had a rhinoplasty done at the age of 18. Living in Belgium at the time, and being a young girl, I didn't think about consulting doctor's in other countries. I wanted a slimmer nose, no shortening or rotating of my tip. When the cast came off, my nose looked weird, but as the swelling came down, a botched, turned up, collapsed and crooked nose was revealed. I could not breathe through my nose and it was constantly dripping. Dr. Tonnard dismissed my problems and said I had to wait. He was rude, hung up the phone on me and said "it was a mistake operating on a teenager". It sure was, by his hands. A couple of years later, I had the resources to fly to the US and have a revision rhinoplasty done. My case was very difficult and my nose will never be perfect because of the damage this doctor did to my nose. Dr. Tonnard took away years of my life that were supposed to be careless: going to college, dating. I was depressed for many years because of this life-altering, identity-changing botched surgery. There is nothing I can do to turn back time, there is nothing I can do to stop this doctor. He will not be punished for his malpractice and will continue screwing up peoples faces. All I can do is hope people, even back in Belgium, will read my review and RUN LIKE HELL from this terrible doctor.

Chemical Peel - Belgium

I had a croton oil/phenol peeling. It was horrible , the pain and burning are severe. Now I still have problems with my forehead. It's red and painful. I also have red and rough spots on my cheeks. Has anybody had the same and will the rough spots disappear later? Thanks for any comment. I have found that washing your face with water and a little vinegar is helpful, also putting a wet towel on your face helps. Updated on 23 Jun 2014: Look at comment no.6 Updated on 24 Jun 2014: I can't tell if it will be worth while. I'm still waiting to heal. Unfortunately this is not predictable but as soon as I know myself I'll post it. In my opinion it never will be worth the pain and anguish I went through. It's certainly not appropriate for sensitive skin like mine. Updated on 20 Jun 2015: After lots of care by my dermatologist my skin is still partly red and rough. I've got white spots on my face, all pigmentation is gone because of the deep burn op the peeling. Dr Tonnaerd in Belgium is not more than a money machine. He doesn't inform the patient of the real risk of his peeling treatment. He lets you pay upfront so he has no problem, the patient however suffers.

27 Years Old, Finally Going to Say Goodbye to the Mountain on my Face. Belgium, BE

I'm 27 years old and live in Belgium. I've disliked my nose since I can remember, but never went through with surgery as I thought I would grow over it. I wasn't obsessed over my nose as I just avoided it as much as I could. That way I wasn't confronted with it and it didn't trouble me. The thought of surgery went through my head on and off over the years, but now that I'm engaged, I started to think about it seriously. Whenever I though about wedding pictures, I was like : 'I really want some nice wedding pictures...oh wait...my nose...never mind, maybe I shouldn't get a photographer at all, I'll never look at the pictures again, let alone hang one on the wall...no way...' That's when I decided to go ahead en do the surgery. I still hate my nose as much as I did 10 years ago, so I obviously didn't grow over it and accepted my nose as part of my. It's just ugly en doesn't fit my face. I felt so relieved when I made that decision, so I know it's the right thing to do. I did a lot of research and today I had a consultation with Dr Tonnard. All went very well, he obviously knows what he's doing and gave a lot of information. I had a few questions, but I ended up not having to ask them as his explanation answered them all. He asked me what I wanted to change and then did a simulation on the computer. I could tell him what I liked/disliked and he would adjust it. My tip will be lifted a bit, shortened and be more refined, my hump will be shaved off, bridge will be made a bit smaller as it is quite wide right now and the place of the angle of my nose between my will be lifted as it is too low now. (don't know the right words in english, sorry!) My fiancé was with me and it all felt very good en professional to him as well, so I booked the surgery at once. 8 july is my big day and I can't wait!! Time to say goodbye to the Mount Everest on my face!!
