Ventral Hernia Repair/Scar revision

Dr. Greaney has an incredible bedside manner and was focused and attentive the entire consultation. What I really appreciate about him is his honest candor when any one procedure is discussed. He gives every pro/con imaginable about the procedures discussed. He also actually DOES all of his procedures! That's almost unheard of now a days in the day and age of Residents, PAs, NPs, etc. I greatly appreciate his hands and expertise being my primary surgical “repair” man. I went in for repair of a past burst appendix that turned into a colon resection. I was left was a terrible scar on my previous flat stomach. Dr. Greaney was so great throughout the consultation and subsequent procedures. So great in fact that I have actually recommended him to all my family and friends. He repaired my abdominal muscles, liposuctioned for better contour, and revised the “train track” scar that was left from my past emergency surgery. I am now 3 weeks post op and he has checked on me multiple times, provided ample nausea and pain relief, and I’ve seen him twice for follow up. This entire experience has been very professional and caring. Thank you! The 1st picture is immediately post-op The other 2 are from my previous emergency surgery. I will continue to update as my healing continues

Breast Reduction

37 Years Young, Breast Reduction Consultation - Philadelphia, PA

Hello there, guys. On yesterday I saw a plastic surgeon for the first time. Since I was nine years old I've had large breasts and they have annoyed me to say the least. My primary care physician and my ob/gyn both have talked to me over the past years few about getting a reduction. I must admit that I have been scared to step out and inquire about this procedure. I finally did it yesterday morning. I love your various testimonials on this site. My plastic surgeon states that he'll submit my authorization for this procedure on my Monday and have his scheduler call me to make an appointment for surgery. Long story short, I have Personal Choice. Does anyone here have PC in the Tri-State area? How long do they usually take sending an approval? My surgeon stated that he's going to remove 700 cc from each breast. I am a 38G, standing at 5'6" and 230 pounds. My PCP told me that I should look into losing weight. I definitely know that I need to; it is surely overdue. My goal is to get to 145 in the next two years. Presently, I am out of work on a medical leave for some gastrointestinal issues. I return to work Monday after next. However, is it possible to have it extended a few weeks (with this reduction in mind for the near future)? Or am I moving too quickly? I see that some people have scheduled and/or have had their surgery before the surgeon gets the actual written approval from the client's health insurer. I'm not sure how common that is; I've only read it a few times on various discussion posts.
