The third round WORKED!!

I will start by saying that I had this procedure done twice now. Both times I had both Deep FX and Activ FX. The first time I had it done was approx 9 years ago (same practice, different doctor) and the results were great. This time the treatment made my acne scars worse. To the extent that my husband comments about how bad it is and continuously tells me to find a way to remedy it. Dr Groleau was very sweet and made sure I was comfortable during the procedure but I’m afraid she wasn’t as aggressive as the doctor that performed the procedure the first time I had it done. I was warned that might be the case but I figured there wasn’t much room for error. I was wrong. The results most definitely depend on how aggressive the doctor sets the laser. I also only had one follow up 5 days after the procedure which wasn’t with the doctor. Just an uninformed nurse that had no clue what was going on. Had the doctor seen me she probably would have realized this simply didn’t work. My face seemed to heal much faster the second time around and there was no bleeding which did raise a flag right away. My instinct was right as the results just aren’t what I was hoping for. Oh well, tough lesson learned. Now I will desperately search for something to hopefully fix my poor skin. Updated on 15 Feb 2022: The doctor wanted to make things right so she did a complimentary DeepFX session (at a more intense level) six months after my treatment. I’m happy to say it worked! It has only been a week and a half but as of now it looks like my pitted acne scars are 90% better! Updated on 26 Feb 2022: Luckily my doctor offered a third round of ActivFX for free after the second round didn’t produce any results. She was more aggressive this time and it made a big difference. I am pleased to say that the third round of treatment WORKED! My pitted acne scars are barely visible now after years of struggling! Updated on 26 Feb 2022: I have attached photos from ‘after’ my second laser treatment (TotalFX) that didn’t produce any results. That treatment actually made things look worse. Luckily my doctor offered to do a ActivFX session with a more aggressive setting and it worked! My putted acne scars that I have been battling with for years are finally better! It was a long process with a lot of downtime but I am pleased with the final results.
