Okan Parmaksiz, MD -- Account Suspended

After searching and finding many doctors, I came across Dr. Okan and I can happily say I made the best choice. From my initial facetime conversation with him, through to my consultation at his office and aftersurgery, he kept me updated and well-informed. After many years I am finally breathing well through my nose, but not only that, Dr Okan has changed my whole nose in an amazing way. A true master surgeon to say the least. And not forgetting a big thank you to his assistant Ummugulsum who provided me the best care and support throughout.

Dr. Okan Parmaksiz and his Assistant are very nice and welcoming. I came to Istanbul for a consultation with the Doctor after I already had two consultations with other doctors in my home country. Dr. Parmaksiz explained everything to me very well and answered all my questions. He is honest about what is possible and where the limits are. Because I had a very good feeling about him and because I loved all of his natural results I decided that my rhinoplasty should be performed by Dr. Parmaksiz.

The hospital staff of the Private A Hastanesi Bahcelievler was unfriendly at the day before the operation when I had my blood test and PCR test. I was happy on the next day when the staff on the station was much friendlier. My experience with the hospital is no part of the rating of Dr. Parmaksiz because of course it is not his fault, but it is part of my entire rhinoplasty experience in Istanbul as a non-Turkish speaking person so I think it is important.

Although there were little “complications” in the operation, because I had weak and untypical cartilages that needed more work than usual, the Doctor mastered the Rhinoplasty with a result that I love. I had no pain at all after the rhinoplasty and the assistant was really helpful with the aftercare, she was constantly available to answer every question and gave a lot of information.

2 months have passed now since my rhinoplasty and I couldn’t be happier. I am no longer ashamed of my side profile, it’s the opposite, I am really proud of it and I love my result.

I 100% would recommend Dr. Parmaksiz and his nice assistant!

Dr. Okan was nice, and had a caring team. But he does not do his procedure in his office, but rather in a filthy hospital, and you won’t be notified of it until the day of your surgery. Aside from that, he does not give you a gist of how your nose will look, and he will surgically alter your nose the way he likes it. He did not listen to what I wanted or even looked at any example pics that I wanted to show him. I have an ethnic nose and he shortened my bridge way too much, and practically cut a lot of my nose off. Now I have a super short nose and permanently look like a pig. When I expressed my concern, he did not listen. Overall, beware of him if you’re looking for a surgeon who can work on ethnic noses.
