I went to Nicolas Tabbal about 20 yrs ago for nose that was severely ruined due to a very horrific situation. To compound the situation the local hospital I was taken to referred me to a local PS who I went to for consult as plastic surgery was foreign to me. The PS really messed up my nose which further damaged my self esteem as I came out with a nose with a bump and turned up. I should have prefaced this with that I was a very pretty girl and was born with a nose any woman would have wanted. The PS told me to come back in 6 mos and he will remove the hump. I was so naïve as I went back to this a**hole and he took out too much cartilage and my nose was literally caving in and was looking like a pig nose. I went to the best surgeons in NYC most of who would not even touch me. Dr Baker and Dr Tabbal both treated me extremely compassionately and did not even charge me a consultation fee. Both were willing to help and told me I was a very pretty girl and were willing to improve my nose whereas other surgeons like Dr Aston etc did not even want to work on me. I went to Tabbal as he took my insurance and surgery was expensive. Dr Baker told me I was also in good hands with Dr Tabbal and was not put off that I was not going to him in the end. Dr Tabbal did not lie and told me I would never have the beautiful nose I was born with based on my pictures and it would not be perfect. He was correct that it is not perfect but it is better and I can put on make-up and feel good. Are there issues that bother me about it? Of course but it is not hideous like my prior inferior surgeon left me with. Dr Tabbal I believe did his best in a 7 hour surgery. Am I happy with the results? I can look in the mirror and think I look good...Sometimes I am upset from my side profile but it's just a nose and I am still a pretty gal....maybe no longer beautiful but no one will look at my nose as it fits my face but is not perfect
I am really not sure how valid everything you have written is. I was a skeptical patient myself. Especially reading all this nonsense online. At my age of 55, it did not seem very common to have cosmetic procedures done, especially not the surgery I was signing myself up for. Everything went perfectly well. And everything looks great. Dr. Tabbal is a master of his practice. He is highly respectful and easy to talk to. His office is unique and has a very relaxed atmosphere. Everyone is friendly and caring as well. He put me at ease just walking into the room and I was right to trust him. All concerns addressed, he wanted me to ask more until I had asked my last question. I am truly thankful. It seems you have a personal issue with him, and it is a shame that you are trying to ruin such an accomplished doctor's career by posting such nonsense. Rest assured, reality speaks louder than a few poorly chosen words online. I did however feel compelled to write about my experience.
I had Rhinoplasty 11 months ago in NY to correct bump on nose and to refine the tip of the nose. It was a succesful surgery with minimal recovery time.As the swelling at the tip went down I started to notice a pea size bump on the right side at the fleshy part of the tip. Is that normal healing? What can be done if it doesn't go away?
He ruined my nose (flattened it and widened the bridge) and didn't care. The consent form was vague and basically gave him permission to do whatever he pleased. I had to undergo revision rhinoplasty with a more talented physician so that I can look at my face without crying. Since this horrible experience I still can't bear to be photographed.
Very bad results. Would not use this doctor ever again. Traveled from a different state to have him do my nose after reading all positive reviews. My nose looked better before than after the procedure.
This procedures ruined my life. I was not fat, but had some fat accumulations in my abdomen. Dr Tabbal did not know how to do it. The liposcution gave me no dimension and no waistline.l I was totally the same width from the top to the bottom of my abdomen and still and still had alot of fat. Dr. Tabbal did a revision which made it worse. he went into the waist line and sucked out fat. He did no contouring so it have outward bulges to the side above my waistline. When I wear clothes it looks llike I have tumors. He also took out more fat in my belly leaving the skin on my belly sagging as it never was able to reattach to the muscle. I also had to pay the hospital for the second operation another $3500. I went back to see dr. tabbal in 2005 and he stormed out of his office stating I expect too much from plastic surgery. I am sorry I did not sue him for medical malpractice. I am trying to get on the television show botched to get this corrected. I now need a tummy tuck and I have never had children, and there is no guarantee that the mess can ever be corrected. Stay away from nicholas tabbal. I went to another doctor in new york and he asked me if the person who performed this surgery was a licensed plastic surgeon.
Went to tabbal for some tip work and he took it upon himself to reconstruct my whole nose without my consent while i was put under, he left me with a severly crooked nose with a C shaped nasal bone and a shapeless tip with no support, he cant look at you afterwards and lies about the surgery. I require an extensive reconstruction with rib grafting.
