Hi Emeegeehen! To give you a short answer to your question, there is no risk to use a bleaching agent around your Maryland bridge. The pH of bleaching gels supervised by a dentist are around 7 (neutral. The in-office bleachings (Zoom) are a little more acidic. Crest whitestrips have sodium hydroxide to adjust pH to neutral. Also, you do not let the bleaching agent to stay long enough to cause decimentation. The real problem of all Maryland bridges is the possibility for decimentation after 10 to 15 years depending on the cement used and the area of supporting teeth. If you grind or clench that can create stresses in the structure and lead to decimentation too. The best way to protect your dental work is to visit your dentist regularly. Good luck !
