Well, Danielle, each surgeon has his own method and material that usually uses on surgeries. The best way to know what is happening on this point of your scar is to contact your surgeon. In the other hand, as it's difficult - because you made the surgery in another country - if it was performed for an specialist, you can be sure he used proper materials on you and it will, usually, disappear after some months. As a matter of fact, we have to "close" some tummy tuck patients with a strong (and a little thick) suture threads and they can, in some cases, remain palpable for a time. Be sure you don't have fever or redness on this point of your scar and be calm. Otherwise, have a doctor to see you,ok?Nelson Dutra, MD
You don't mentioned how many time ago your surgery was performed. Maybe they can get another shape in a few months. You should wait, for at last, 6 to 8 months until you think in redoing your surgery.I suggest a year.
