Dr. Maia performed a very complex abdominoplasty on me . I have had two previous liposuctions on my abdomen and flanks .I am one month out and I can not say enough amazing things about her work. I have worked in the cosmetic surgery field for 15 years so I can speak from experience.

As a mother of three, I sorely longed for and dreamt of getting a breast lift and augmentation for many years. I spent at least three years researching local surgeons, risks, complications, etc. I also have several breast tumors and was unsure of my options. After a few unimpressive local consultations and a lot of anxiety, I thought breast surgery was not in the cards for me. Then a friend showed me Dr. Maia's Instagram. I was blown away by the natural look and shape she created on her patients. I quickly scheduled a consultation with Dr. Maia and knew I had found the right surgeon!
Dr. Maia has an impressive and extensive education and training through a Harvard fellowship and even has her own skincare line. Not only is Dr. Maia brilliant, but she also took the time to understand and address my concerns, fears, and goals. She is passionate about her profession and genuinely cares about her patients.

During the preoperative stages, I had a breast cancer scare. Dr. Maia and her team were so concerned and supportive! I cannot say enough about how wonderful and accommodating she and her staff were during that time. Her team also ensured I had everything I needed for a successful surgery. They had excellent communication and were constantly in touch via phone and text message to ensure I was prepared for surgery and to answer all my questions.
After surgery, I was shocked at how good I felt once the anesthesia wore off. Dr. Maia performed a breast lift, augmentation, and removal of cysts. I had little to no pain and did not take any prescribed pain medication during my recovery. Dr. Maia's team checked on me daily to ensure I was recovering well. The communications were via text message and an app where I could upload photos for real-time responses. This was so convenient for me during recovery, and I never felt bound to standard doctor's office hours; they were always available. Dr. Maia and her team also diligently scheduled the post-op follow-up appointments. My incisions closed very quickly, and my scarring is looking great! I am beyond pleased with my results and still cannot believe this is my body. I never thought this would be possible for me, and I cannot thank Dr. Maia enough for my excellent results! If you are considering cosmetic surgery, I urge you to schedule a consultation with Dr. Maia!

This is the second time that I undergo surgery with Dr. Maia. She performed a mini-lift and neck lift to rid me of sagging skin under the chin and to reduce laxity and puffiness around my nasolabial folds. The procedures were performed in Dr. Maia’s office under local anesthesia. In the pre-op appointment, Dr. Maia listened very carefully to my concerns, explained in detail what I should and should not expect from the procedures under consideration, including a regular face lift, and when I opted in favor of the mini lift and neck lift, she explained very clearly that tightening the muscles and skin of the neck during an in-office procedure had its limitations. Hence, I had realistic expectations going into the surgery.

Well, I was wowed when Dr. Maia removed my bandages during my first post-op appointment. All traces of sagging muscles and skin under my chin were gone, and what I saw in the mirror was the face I had ten or more years ago (I am now almost 70). Inflammation and bruising were minimal and I needed no pain killers. Now, two weeks after surgery, my face is looking as if I had nothing done, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Dr. Maia tailored the surgery to my specific needs after examining my face and neck. Her surgical skills are unparalleled. I love the fact that she modifies her surgical approach to deliver exactly what the individual patient wants. Dr. Maia is always flexible, always kind and considerate, always willing to stretch the limits of convention just a little if necessary and safe. She clearly loves her profession and stays abreast of state-of-the-art surgical techniques, yet she is conservative when recommending procedures. Her calm, reassuring manner puts you at ease right away, and she never ends a consultation before having fully addressed all of the patient’s concerns. I must put in a good word for Dr. Maia’s office staff as well. Everyone is warm and gracious and a pleasure to interact with.

After years of hesitation to get eyelid surgery I finally found doctor Maia and decided to get it done and I felt in good and professional hands. She took all the time to explain to me the procedure, and was really very professional and met my expectations. Her team too is wonderful always smiling and comprehensive! Thank you doctor! Putting one's looks into someone else's hands is an overwhelming decision. After meeting with several Plastic Surgeon's, when I met Munique I felt immediately at ease. First off her staff is remarkable. I deal with Gabrielle, the Patient Concierge, who is remarkable. She is remarkable, delicate in her approach, professional in her manner, and knowledgeable in her field. She is with you every step of the way, above and beyond what would be defined as "office hours".
I was led to a room to wait for Dr. Maia. There was no endless waits I experienced with so many others. When we met I was struck by her youth, but as soon as we began to speak about my procedure she was fluent and knowledgeable putting me immediately at ease. It did not take me long after our meeting to make my decision. Other patient's will tell you in their review's that Munique is wonderful, amazing, the best, marvelous, etc., but since our meeting I have had a face/neck/brow lift, arm lift, breast lift, thigh lift any several injectable procedures. If that isn't testimonial enough, I drive in to see her several hours and stay in a hotel just because she is that good! If you have ANY hesitation, DON'T. Stop llooking for that perfect Doctor, you've found her!

I absolutely adore Dr. Maia and her team. They are perfectionists and I couldn’t be happier! She is hands down the absolute best in class. My neck lipo and neck lift procedure was done in office under local anesthesia, and I felt absolutely no pain (after the initial pricks from the numbing injections). The results she was able to achieve are nothing short of miraculous, but what’s great is that you would never know that I had any work done if I didn’t tell you. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Maia prior to the procedure, but after seeing first hand how thoughtful, precise, and gentle she is I trust her beyond words. Thank you so much for everything Dr. Maia and team.

My experience with Dr. Maia has been excellent on all scores. There is no more highly skilled cosmetic surgeon than Dr. Maia, in my opinion, and I have seen many over the course of my life. She is also highly ethical and will never encourage procedures that she feels will not deliver what you are seeking. If she feels she cannot help you, she will be straightforward in telling you so. At the same time, she thinks creatively. In my case, she magically improved my nasal projection with a simple fat graft to the base of my nose, an approach that had never occurred to any of the cosmetic surgeons I had consulted over the years. And the results of her fat grafting to different parts of my face are already impressive at one week post-surgery. I have a much rejuvenated appearance, with almost no swelling and very minor bruising. I alway feel that Dr. Maia is acting in my best interests. She never pushes procedures, but listens carefully to what is bothering you about your looks and will recommend what is best for you, or she will honestly say so when she feels unable to deliver what you are seeking. Patient satisfaction means everything to Dr. Maia. Her calm demeanor and personal warmth are reassuring. I will never go to another cosmetic surgeon for as long as Dr. Maia remains in practice.

Dr. Maia and her staff are very welcoming and make you feel at ease from day one. Dr. Maia really listened to all of my concerns and addressed all of my questions with actual science behind her answers. She is extremely accommodating and really cares about her patients. I would recommend her and if I was needing any other services, I would gladly use her again. She is PHENOMENAL!

Dr. Maia is fantastic! Loved my experience! She is an expert and her professionalism and mastery show in the work, which is so well done and looks natural and youthful! She has an eye for beauty and is wonderfully precise. There is a calming feeling knowing that Dr. Maia wants you to get exactly the look you want, and if needed she gives honest feedback and clear recommendations on what procedure will be best for you and your face or body. I'll say you can definitely schedule your procedure with her with confidence that the results will be 5 stars!

I am currently 3 days post op and I am loving my results so far! Dr. Maia did a beautiful job from what I can see and I can't wait to see how they progress over time. Trying to sleep has been awful, I'm not a back sleeper so adjusting has been rough. I can't find the correct angle that doesn't put too much pressure on my neck or lower back, still trying to figure that out. TMI, but I've been pretty constipated and bloated due to the pain medication. I've tried yogurt and eating high fiber foods to help move things along but with no luck yet...
