Yes. SculpSure, because it uses heat, allows for an extension beyond the exact area where the device is placed. There is not an exact measurement to how far it extends as that is dependent on the area, but you can anticipate it having a smooth transition to any surrounding area of fat.

Body sculpting works by apoptosis, liposuction by removal of the cells. In both cases the body cannot regenerate new fat cells. However, if there is weight gain due to excessive calories, the body will find a place to store the fat. That may mean you will gain fat in other areas or that the remaining fat cells in the area treated could expand. To prevent this, it is best to be at a stable weight for a few months before treatment.

Both Coolsculpting and SculpSure are FDA approved and safe to target fat in undesired areas. CoolSculpting works with a suction and freezes the area within the suction. SculpSure sits on top of the skin and is held in place with brackets and straps. Just based on how little fat you have to grab onto, I would recommend SculpSure. I also like SculpSure because there is some spread beyond just the area in directed contact with the laser and can offer skin tightening. SculpSure usually requires two sessions (unlike CoolSculpting) for the best results, but in your case you may only need one which could save you some money.

Sculpsure will cause destruction of the fat cells by a process called apoptosis, which is natural and usually takes about 6-8 weeks a majority of the healing to take place. Much of the reasoning behind dimpling would be if the laser was placed too close to the belly button, dehydration, or placed over an area of a tattoo. As long as the laser was not improperly placed over the skin, these dimples should resolve within 8-12 weeks as the skin and the underlying fat around the area migrates to fill in where the treatment occurred.

I have never had laser hair removal done before, although I’ve always wanted to. This was by far the best experience for my first time! Although Dr. Rezk was very friendly, the Sculpsure procedure that I had was not done on the specific area I requested. I asked for my outer thighs (with my right thigh being the most important), and specifically showed him exactly where on my legs that I wanted results. He didn't position the lasers directly on that location therefore there was not much improvement at all. Instead I had *slight* improvement on the back on my thigh were there wasn't much fat and I wasn't concerned about.At my final visit to take pictures, he admitted that he should have placed the lasers in the spot I requested (where they would wrap around to the area that needed the most treatment). He then went on to tell me that he would have to charge an additional $600 for another treatment to do anything more. It seems he needs more experience in using the SculpSure to truly help with specific treatment areas requested by the client/patient.
