Dr. G. did blepharoplasties (in 1999) and a facelift (in 2009) on me, as well as several minor procedures throughout the years. His work was excellent and he was very responsive to any of my concerns. That is why I have kept returning to him for all of my work. Although I am 63, many think that I am in my 40s.
So my journey begins. Just went to my pre op and picked my size implant. Dr thought hp's, but I didn't like the projection. I have been walking around for 2 weeks with rice sizers on. I really liked 275cc, so going with 304cc since I will loose a little going under the muscle. I really liked the 275cc moderate plus on me at my consultation. I am not looking for a large implant, just want a little extra. Haven't considered cup size afterwards, just want a certain look. I did take in pictures to show and understand that everyone is different. The ps is also fixing my inverted nipple. Very excited to have this done. My ps was very patient and answered all my questions. He is board certified, been doing this for many years. I am very comfortable with him and look forward to my procedure. I just got my prescriptions filled, sports bra, button up shirt, laxatives, water, thick socks. Hopefully I got everything. Can anybody recommend what else I might need? Updated on 28 Jan 2015: Not much to update yet. Still worried about size. Some days I think they might be too big, but listening to my Ps. He says they will be great. Updated on 4 Feb 2015: Am having a massage today, trying to not think about the up coming surgery. I'm getting kind of nervous. I am not looking for a dramatic look, just subtle. Hoping I am not going to big with 304cc mod plus. I think I have everything else ready for my big day. Just relaxing today and tomorrow since I have these 2 days off work. I have my last consultation this Friday and surgery scheduled Monday at 8 am. I will be working Friday-Sunday, so hoping to keep to busy so I am not stressed. Updated on 6 Feb 2015: I can't believe I have 2 more days. I got a call from the doctor with final instructions. Nothing to eat or drink the night before. Bring a zip up bra or hook front. Zip up hoodie. Sweat pants, thick socks. I can't take my sleep medicine the night before, so thinking I will be up all night. I am also taking lip balm, crackers, juice. Updated on 6 Feb 2015: Updated on 10 Feb 2015: So far it's been okay, I take my pain meds every 4 hours. Not really having any pain, just tightness around my chest. Kind of like someone is giving me a bear hug. I have been icing them every couple of hours, it feels much better. Someone on here had a suggestion on making your own ice packs so I did that. I took 1 cup water and 1/2 cup alcohol in a quart freezer bag. They never freeze, but get very pliable and mold to your boobs. Kind of like a slushy, they work the best for me. I get to shower today, so will be able to take pictures of my progress. Getting excited about that. Updated on 10 Feb 2015: Updated on 10 Feb 2015: They are still high, but it's only been 1 day. My left nipple is sore, I had an inverted nipple that he fixed for me. No bruising yet. They are still hard and tight. By before surgery sports bra was a little loose. Now it's kind of tight. Updated on 11 Feb 2015: no longer taking pain meds, just ibuprofen now. The bottom part of boob is very soft, the top is still really hard. The discomfort is now really just stiffness. I feel pretty good just kind of tired. I unhooked my bra which feels so good. I can lift my arms with no trouble, just taking it easy. Still icing them, which feels good. Updated on 11 Feb 2015: I am starting to get bruising by both incisions. Also on my left side near my bra band, which really hurts. Still just taking ibuprofen, haven't had any since this morning at 8. Will take some before bed. My left nipple feels kind of raw, I feel a little itchy near the incisions. Overall I am feeling pretty great, hope the swelling goes down soon. The experience has been good. Good luck to all you ladies that haven't had your surgery yet. Happy recovery to all. Updated on 12 Feb 2015: Updated on 15 Feb 2015: So it's been 7 days and I feel great. Under my left breast bruised something awful. I am not taking any medication just icing. Today I notices that they are getting very soft. They have definitely dropped some and are not as tight as before. I slept on my side last night and had no troubles getting up. They are getting a little smaller since the swelling is going down. Because of the bruising it's very hard to wear a bra, so I go without. My system is back to normal now (yeah for that) I still get tired easier then before. I don't go back to work until Wednesday, so taking it easy until then. I am going to the gym tomorrow to walk on the treadmill. It's way to cold to be outside. Updated on 17 Feb 2015: Walked the mall yesterday, really wore me out. I have to go back to work tomorrow at 3pm, getting very nervous about that. I am a retail manager so I'm on my feet pretty much the whole time. I walk a minimum of 3 miles a day while at work. I think the most was 8 miles a day during busy days. We do have ice packs in our first aid kits. If needed I will take a break and ice them. Anyways, my right boob is dropping more then the left one. The muscles tighten up when I do to much. Other then that they are getting kind of soft on the bottom. Incisions are starting to itch, not liking that part. I like how they are looking from the front. Side view is still a little freakish looking. I am having a very hard time finding a bra that fits. Too tight, too big, cups too small, ugh! I tried on several yesterday, because I need them for work. Went up to a large/xl just because they weren't tight. Hopefully after several hours in them, I won't have any discomfort. Can anyone share what bra's/sports bra's they bought that give support and are comfortable for long periods of time. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Overall I am loving them more and more each day. Updated on 18 Feb 2015: I go back to work this afternoon. Bought a couple of soma bras, nothing fancy. Hope they give enough support and I'm not in any pain. I still have the bruise on my left side. The bra band is right on top of it, hopefully after a few hours I will be okay. Updated on 21 Feb 2015: Just posting pictures so I can see me progress Updated on 27 Feb 2015: They are both dropping nicely, the right faster then the left. The bloating and weight gain from surgery has finally subsided. The right is softer then the left. Been doing massages which makes them feel better. The still swell up if I do too much. Updated on 5 Mar 2015: Feeling pretty good, loving how soft they feel. Updated on 8 Mar 2015: It's been a month, and they are doing great. Updated on 15 Mar 2015: It's hard to believe another weeks has come and gone. My breast are feeling very soft. I am massaging everyday. I am using silicone scar away strips, until scars are no longer red. PS said wear then about a month longer. Updated on 25 Mar 2015: I bought some new bras last week. I was measured at a 36c, I still have some swelling on the top part of my boobs overall I'm happy with results. Updated on 31 Mar 2015: It's been 7 1/2 weeks now. My breast are pretty soft, they still need to drop a little bit. The left still sits higher then the right. My left looks more round then the right, it also looks bigger. I feel I still have a little swelling in my upper pole area. Updated on 16 Apr 2015: Not much change since my last post. Leaving for some fun in the sun on Sunday. Will post tanned picks after next week. My left nipple is still sore to touch, the scars are hardly noticeable anymore. My incisions healed up nicely. Updated on 7 May 2015: Its been 3 months now. They gave def. Changed over the last couple of months. What do you ladies think? have they changed? Updated on 29 Jul 2015: It's been awhile since my last update. Life has been great, I have been very busy. Am posting new pictures Updated on 22 Feb 2016: Wow it has been a year, a lot has happened. I got a new job, I moved to another state. I no longer have high and hard boobs. They are very soft, not as soft as before but, I like them. They are no longer under my collar bone either. After a year I still think I got the right size for me, I have never said I wish or what if's. I love how they look with or without clothes on. I can do everything I did before surgery with no problems. I was a 36A, I am now a 36C with 304CC. Dr G. did an amazing job. I am saddened that he no longer works at the clinic I went to. He moved on to the Shriners hospital, so I wish him well in his new journey. I hope everyone is doing well, I look forward to catching up. Will post pictures soon Updated on 27 Jan 2017: Its hard to believe it's going on 2 1/2 years since I had my surgery. I could not be happier with DR G. from Vernon Hills. My boobs look amazing and are finally natural looking.
I hated ugly looking 2-3 inch hole in my left ear lobe and would never go out without big ear studs. Sometimes even big ear studs would come out of that hole.
Thanks, Dr. G - Vernon Hills, IL
If you are contemplating a face lift and want to feel 100% at ease and have 100% confidence in the procedure, then I highly recommend Dr. G. He gave me a face and neck lift and it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. The results were excellent. I might add that I am an older women, and he had his work cut out for him! Please do not be discouraged by his laid back manner. In my opinion specialist that are extremely superior and experienced tend to have this aura, because of their confidence and years of experience. I am 100% pleased with Dr. G. A face lift makes you look on the outside the way you feel on the inside--thanks to Dr. G.
In 2014 I had upper eyelid surgery and fat transfer to chin and jaw angles with Dr Gresseschi. I have naturally heavy eyelids that were starting to look too hooded due to aging. The result of the eyelid surgery is shown on the pic from 2018 and is clearly asymmetric. By assessment of other plastic surgeons, the cut on the right eyelid was made too close to the eyelashes, making that eyelid look too hooded compared to the left eyelid. All surgeons consulted refused to do a revision surgery because too little skin remains for cutting. I tried nonsurgical blepharoplasty in Europe (first Plasma BT, then Plexer). It lifted a bit the left eyelid but does not work on the right lid where the problem is because the skin there is too thick and the plasma is not capable of burning through it. The fat transfer did not take in the chin at all. I had much better success there with hyaluronic acid fillers. I explicitly warned Dr G not to inject fat along the jaw line, only in the jaw corners below the ears. Nevertheless, fat was injected along the jaw line transforming it from the youthful v-shape I had to an aged saggy U-shape. It also elongates my face. I asked Dr G to inject some fat above the buccinator muscle to fill some hollowness, he didn't inject there at all. The fat injected on top of the jaw bone and above cannot be removed with liposuction, or FaceTite, because there are nerves passing there. Probably I will have to do a neck or facelift for that to be corrected. Clearly I do not recommend Dr. Grasseschi at all: he does not understand what a patient wants, does not listen to clear instructions, does not achieve symmetry, or aesthetics. To people that are interested in upper eyelid surgery, first try nonsurgical blepharoplasty in Europe - it works for thinner eyelids with less risk to be disfigured by an incompetent surgeon like I did. To people interested in jaw modifications - go for hyaluronic fillers with a good surgeon. Fat is a not a good filler there because it is extracted from the belly typically and that fat is genetically programmed to swell with aging so it will make your face saggy there at the slightest increase of your body weight or age. As explained above, fat will be hard to remove there, unlike dissolvable hyaluronic fillers.
i had this along with quite a few other girls i know and it has ruined are noses so horrid. he removed my sills , widen the nostrils and my columella hung after as well as my lip turned under when smiling . Had to have 3 surgeries to try to correct plus fillers and its still not like my nose was . i had a beautiful nose and it was ruined from this terrible surgery . i was not told this would affect my nose in any way , but it did , i will post pics. he ruined my face !!!
When people meet and interact with others they are usually upright-so the markings are sometimes done upright. Surgery cannot easily be done in the upright position especially with general anesthesia. The experienced surgeon knows how tightly to pull the tissues to get a natural appearance after the swelling subsides.
It is a smaller picture and blacking out the eyes and face makes it difficult to interpret. How much can be done depends on the thickness of your skin and the position of the cartilages. Noses can be improved by reducing or altering the shape of the bones and cartilages and sometimes adding cartilage for the septum, ears or ribs as necessary. I hope this helps.
A circumareolar reduction with a permanent Benelli suture is the procedure of choice for tuberous breasts. Although, an exam or photo would be helpful to determine which procedure would be best for you.
Hi Jasmine,Thanks fo ryour questions. Even though bruising and most swelling may have subsided, you're still in the healing stages of your surgery. I would wait an additional 3 months and consider hyaluronic acid fillers to help smooth out the undereye for a less sunken look. I hope this helps.Dr. Grasseschi
More standardized photos would be useful to correct distortions from camera position. The nostril asymmetry is not obvious from these photos.Has there been an injury or previous surgery? Whether a full open rhinoplasty would be necessary or a less invasive approach would work would be determined by a more critical analysis either by an in person exam or better photos. Correction of an over projecting chin is best corrected by bony genioplasty without disconnecting the soft tissue from the bone at the apex of the chin and repositioning the bone conservatively. Again, standard photos and/or an in person visit would be a better way to evaluate this. One has to avoid losing the soft tissue support to avoid a witch's chin deformity where the tip of the chin hangs down.
