Not Ready to be a Grandma

Love Her Confidence, Even if It's Not Entirely Earned - San Diego, CA

I wanted an alternative to an eyelift, and had heard about IPL. Dr. Pelle is my dermatologist, based on two factors: 1) I like her and 2) she's in my neighborhood. I gladly paid for the IPL, endured the follow up peeling, etc. and.... to my absolute HORROR, she left me scarred with deep pigment. She should have known, and certainly should have mentioned, the risk factors of doing IPL on olive skin. She didn't. And now... I'm trying to lighten the pigmented areas with peels (but not with her). Sadly, this is the second time she scarred me -- first being a noncancerous mole which she recommended removing on the back of my arm, pointing out that it wasn't something I needed to go to a plastic surgeon for. Guess what? I have a HUGE PIT in my tricep area and a Frankenstein worthy scar. I like her, if it's a straight medical dermatological issue, she's fine (you'll have to wait months to see her, fyi) BUT DO NOT GO TO HER FOR ANYTHING COSMETIC.
