Hello knithian, I understand what you are going through. It can be frustrating, but you have options. First of all, are you a male or female? If male, I encourage you to consider taking Propecia/Finasteride ASAP(WARNING: MEDICATION IS NOT FOR WOMEN), this will help you to prevent further hair loss on the top and crown area of your scalp, as it seems per the picture you posted that that is where your concern is. Continue using organic shampoos and also consider taking multi vitamins or a hair supplement that contains Biotin, MSM, Folic Acid and other minerals. The more Biotin the better. Laser Hair Therapy also known as Low Level Laser Therapy can be another option to your condition. This laser treatment stimulates hair cells to remain on the growth phase for longer time and could make your hair thicker, stronger and healthier. Hair loss is usually hereditary not necessarily from your mom or dad directly, but also from your grandparents. Please give more information about yourself so I can give you a narrowed down information. I hope this helps you out some.
Hello ccll22, It is NOT necessary to shave the beard with razor after 2 months of transplant. Usually, after 2 months, most of the scabs have fallen out and most of the transplanted hair stubbles have fallen from trauma too. These fallen hair stubbles will eventually grow back in the coming months (4mo-6mo) post-op. You can trim or shave the area in any way you want by now. If the area is sensitive, be cautious, as you may be experiencing delayed healing. Everyone heals differently. I recommend moisturizing the grafted beard area and always keeping in clean. You could also have a ingrown hair breakout, typical, just apply warm compress to it and the swelling should subside. I hope this information helps you. best regards, Dr. Phillips.
