I went to Dr. Groth for a consultation in 2014. He said to come back in 10 years. In that time, I consulted with a handful of other Top Oculoplastic surgeons in both LA and NY. I waited 10 years and then decided to have my consultation with Dr. Groth again. They said it was a 1.5 year wait, so I added myself to the waitlist, and in 2025, I had another consult. Dr. Groth and his team were still so kind, positive, and professional. The office was beyond clean, and I felt very comfortable. They didn't pressure me and gave me all the information I needed. I scheduled surgery for 2026. I felt so supported before, during, and after surgery. I had both my upper and lower lids done. Even at only a few weeks post op, I am very happy with the results. My eyes look the same, but younger, which was the goal. Highly recommend Dr. Groth and his team.

The surgeon is very hard to get into but because covid was still going on my appointment got moved up so I did the consultation and within two months I had the surgery. I did the upper and lower lids and although I did have a slight complication as I got a blood clot in my left eye where it just took that eye a lot longer to heal, everything came out as good as it could get. All in all it took about a week until the tape came off to go outside, 2 weeks until I looked ok, and maybe 3 weeks before I was normal. People would say something is different but they couldn’t put there finger on it and would just say I looked younger. Thats what you want.

Dr Groth is known as the "eye guy". My lids were hooded and they bothered me when I put on lash strips or mascara. He did my outpatient surgery back in January. It was a PERFECT experience! I had zero pain before, during, and after the procedure. He is a true GURU ! He was professional, knowledgable, and polite. I would recommend him to EVERYONE! I have zero regrets, except that maybe I should've gone sooner!

I am 39 and sick of the eye bags under both my eyes. They seem to have gotten darker and deeper in the past three years with the bags on the right hand side have a more pronounced appearance. I had a good consultation with a surgeon but I am still feeling really scared about doing this. I have two young kids and a husband who is basically not supportive of my getting surgery for both financial and ideological reasons. He is concerned about the impact it might have on our kids, especially has they reach their teenage years. I have been considering getting surgery for at least one year now. The surgeon said that he thought that I would enjoy the results of the surgery now or 4 yrs from now it would be even more striking. I would like to do it sooner rather than later for a variety of reasons. One being that I am not working right now and would like to start working in the next 6-12 months. I also think that it will be easier fort kids to deal with the changes in my appearance now than it will be when they are 4 & 6. Eveything I looki in the mirror now I feel mildly depressed. I am not sure that this is the right reason to get this procedure.
