I must say not only is the doctor knowledgeable but he takes his time with his patients. Having been to several urologist without any relief, I didn’t feel rushed and left understand what was to be done. Now I feel so much better.

Before the treatment my VJJ was so dry that I had daily ulcerations /pimples and discomfort all day, everyday! I stand on my feet at least 8 hours a day and I felt terrible pressure in my vagina as well. I’d come home from work and go right to bed! Relations with my husband were impossible! I wish more women would speak up about post-menopausal physical changes! I have since learned that a majority of post-menopausal women have the same symptoms that I had! A co-worker recommended that I see a local specialist, Dr. Michael Ingber. After a thorough workup, he gave me a few recommendations to consider. After doing a lot of online research, my husband and I decided to go with the Mona Lisa Touch procedure. It consists of 3 laser treatments to the vagina that are 6 weeks apart. The first treatment was more painful than I had expected. It lasted only about 5 minutes. The Doctor inserted the probe and “shot” lasers on the walls of the vagina from the inside and down to the opening. It felt like vibrations and little shots. The machine made noise with every pulse. But it was over fairly quickly. Afterward I had enough light bleeding that I needed to wear a pad and change it a few times throughout the day. Advil helped with the discomfort as did applying Vaseline to the vulva. I took off from work the next day as I didn’t want to stand on my feet all day while recovering. My vagina felt uncomfortable for at least 2 weeks but then began to improve. I didn’t feel as much pressure and the dryness was more tolerable. 6 weeks later I had the 2nd treatment. I knew what to expect that time and it was less uncomfortable. About a week later I felt well enough to try intercourse and was pleasantly surprised (as was my husband!) We still needed to use lube, but I finally enjoyed it! The rest of the month we both wore a “Mona Lisa Smile” ???? Today was the last of the 3 treatments. It hurt even less this time and I hardly have any bleeding at all. Having the ability to enjoy sex again is life-changing! It is worth the money even if it isn’t covered by medical insurance. That being said, it’s unfair that women’s medical needs are not considered necessary while viagra and other treatments for men’s ED are covered expenses.

Great office and friendly staff. I had the Votiva procedure done and the staff made me very comfortable and it was painless. It kept me from experiencing incontinence when I laugh and sneeze for about 9 months. I have had 5 big babies and was leaking regularly. The Votiva was really easy to do and worked great for me! The treatment takes about half an hour to do and helped tighten my vaginal opening. My husband says it feels like when we were just married.
