13 day post op - Grand Rapids, MI

Handled surgery very well. Had terrible bruising for about a week then just black eye bruise. Eyes feel tight and sore to the touch still. Swelling 99% gone but I'm hoping there will be more reduction because I can feel incision. I have numbness and I'm hoping that will go away too. I like the look of my eyes but with the numbness I can't put on eyeliner well. My motivation to get this surgery was because I'd pull at my eye lids because doing so I could see better. Also, I looked at my 93 year old father and his eyelids droop down into his eyes - so I was motivated to get this done hoping I wouldn't have so much drooping in my later years (I'm 63). What I wished I knew before was that if I'd taken a week off work maybe I could have kept my surgery secret as I'm more of a private person and didn't enjoy having to talk about why I looked like I was beat up!
