I am 60 years old and it has been 8 months since my neck liposuction and full-face CO2 laser treatment. I am very pleased with the results- my chin line, skin tightening and overall condition of my skin. Dr. Brandt worked wonders He is a knowledgeable, skilled, approachable, and professional surgeon who focuses on a natural result. He patiently answered all of my many questions. I felt fully confident and well looked after throughout the entire process - from pre surgery visits to post surgery follow-up. My procedure took place during the pandemic and COVID protocols were all safely in place. The nurses and staff are amazing and the facility is beautiful. I highly recommend Dr. Brandt and Sovereign Cosmetic Surgery.
I got my Asian double eyelid surgery done with Dr. Brandt and had a great experience. At my initial consult, Dr. Brandt and his medical esthetician Alissa, did a great job answering my questions and outlining the details and risks of the procedure. The procedure itself was done nicely as well and my incisions are healing well. The clinic has been very attentive even post-surgery and I got a number of calls from Dr. Brandt personally to follow-up and help me with my recovery process. Highly recommend!
I never really had an issue with my nose until I started to get older and more self-aware of a small bump. This year I finally decided I wanted to change my nose. I was considering rhinoplasty at first but I’m really happy I went with fillers instead! I went to Dr. Brandt in Toronto and had a great experience. Dr. Brandt was extremely nice/thoroughly went over the procedure. Dr. Brandt made the procedure painless and gave me the nose I’ve always dreamt of having.
Thank you for your question.Fillers can retain water and induce swelling to different degrees and this really varies on the location where they were injected. It's sometimes a bit of trial and error to find a product that works for you and your body. Some of the Juvederm products are highly crosslinked which can cause some fluid retention. Revanesse, Belotero, and Restylane are good alternatives depending on the area you are hoping to correct. You may want to consider visiting your previous specialist and having the product dissolved with Hyaluornidase to "reset" things and start again. Either way, a consultation with an experienced Facial Plastic Surgeon, Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist is a good opportunity to explore alternative treatments and products.Hope that helps.
Thanks so much for your question and your helpful photo. The duration a filler lasts is a combination of the product and the patient - some patients will dissolve their filler very fast while others can have a persisting effect. Some products are rapidly dissolved and others persist. We try to find a nice balance of longevity of effect and preventing complications (i.e. nodularity). Your question suggests that it has been 2 years since your last treatment. If that is the case, then it may very well be some scarring and/or collagen deposition. One option would be to try injecting the lips with hyaluronidase to dissolve any remaining filler. This would help you "reset" things and determine the degree of persistent product vs. scar. Sometimes several sessions of hyaluronidase therapy are necessary.I'd recommend an evaluation by an experienced Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist to help sort this out. Hope that helps.
Thank you for your question and your helpful photo. The area on your lower lip looks like something termed "Actinic Chelitis". It is not possible to know for sure without examining you and this is by no means a formal diagnosis. I'd encourage you to see a Facial Plastic Surgeon, Otolaryngologist - Head and Neck Surgeon or Dermatologist for a thorough history of the lesion, examination, and possibly a biopsy. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. While you may be upset that your doctor changed their technique slightly, its for your betterment as they may have found a technique that works better in their hands. I think their goal was altruistic and an effort to give you the best possible treatment. Frankly, a treating specialist who confesses that they are always learning and trying new things to give you a better result is a valuable blessing. That being said, I've had numerous successful patients with the "classic" Masseter Botox treatment - i.e. two injections per side near the mandible/jaw bone. Patients have experienced relief of their jaw clenching and improvement of their TMJ symptoms. Multiple treatments are the rule with any neurotoxin product and I advise my patients of this at the outset - it's like going to the gym, you don't get results unless you go regularly. These treatments can be catered to their TMJ symptoms or to slim down the masseter muscle. Frequently the first few treatments don't last as long as it takes time to break bad clenching habits and weaken the muscle. My suggestion would be to stay the course and follow through on your treatments. Have faith in your specialist and feel confident that they are continuously learning new ways to treat you better. Hope you found this helpful.
Thank you for your question and helpful photo. Chin augmentation using filler is a relatively quick, easy, and painless procedure that you appear to be a good candidate for. My suggestion would be to wait for at least 4-6 weeks following liposuction as some residual swelling can persist which can sometimes make it difficult to evaluate how much of an augmentation is desirable. You don't want to be augmented, have the swelling go down, and then look "over done". I tend to be fairly cautious with filler immediately following other procedures and its just my personal opinion.Hope you found this helpful.
