I'd been through a lot of products and vitamin supplements with other doctors trying to get relief from my acne before I went to Dr. Eidelman. He got my acne under control. I feel like he got to know my skin and could remember every little change and improvement. He monitored me every month until my skin cleared up. Then recommended acne scar treatments with his laser. I had 3 acne scar treatments over about 5 months and my skin looks beautiful. I'm so happy.
I had 2 Sculptra treatments 2 years ago with Dr. Michael Eidelman in NYC. At first there was a bit of puffiness which subsided. It looked like nothing much had happened but after a couple months I started to see that my face was filling out. As the Sculptra developed stimulated the collagen I was seeing the full correction. This is pretty common. The effects develop over time, they are not immediate. Dr. Eidelman and his medical assistant were very clear with the after care. It is imperative that you massage the product everyday for about 3 weeks as instructed to avoid developing nodules. I'm so sorry anyone has had a bad result but it is most likely due to a lack of direction or a lack of follow through on the patients' part. My results are terrific. I've just had another treatment (2 years later!) and I must say I look great. I'm 58 and people think I'm in my early 40's. Be sure you have your procedure by someone like Eidelman who does a lot of treatments and that you follow instructions to the letter. I've turned my friends on to him and Sculptra. It's our best kept secret.
I had seen such great results on 3 of my friends that I tried it. In about a month I noticed a significant change and now, 3 months later, my lashes are long, thick and beautifully shaped. People complain about the cost. It's all about perceived value. To me the value is in enhancing my lashes without glopping on mascara. My lashes look like the (retouched) photos in ads. People complain about the brushes. They are used once, disposable and do the job just fine. You use such a small amount of the produce each day that a one month supply can last longer. I use the product a few times a week now to maintain. I've had no side effects at all. In my opinion, Latisse works much better than expected and advertised.
The beard or any part of the face are often very sensitive. I recommend either the Diode or Nd:Yag laser. Both can have excellent results on the beard. After years of years of treating beards and even thinning my own, I think it makes sense to shrink the beard slowly and symmetrically to avoid severe discomfort and complications that may occur during a full facial treatment. It may take longer to achieve your goals, but it is safer and much more tolerable. I usually recommend you start on the neck and work your treatment up.
I have been using Retin-A every night for the past 14 years and I think has done a wonderful job keeping my skin look healthy and fresh. Just be cautious in the sun and avoid using if your skin is broken or irritated.
There is no problem using this technology after a skin cancer. Some doctors even use this in conjunction with a special cream to treat pre cancers. It can be helpful to reduce the redness in the scar after the surgery has healed.
I have both a Diode laser and an IPL in my office. IPL can be helpful, but given a choice I would always use the Diode laser over an IPL. The Diode is much more effective and requires many fewer treatments.
Botox and Dysport can reduce the size of the chin muscle. It is best used to treat that "pebbly" look to the chin but can reduce some of the muscle bulk as well. It may not be perfect, but might be helpful.
