Dr. Michael Glafkides performed my expander implants and subsequent reconstruction surgeries after a mastectomy. I could not of been more pleased with the results and his level of professionalism, responsiveness, and care. In 2019, many implant patients were sent letters due to a worldwide withdrawal of specific types of textured breast implants. The FDA notification of Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma incidences occurring in these types of implants were the implants I had chosen and it caused me to have concerns. BIA-ALCL is a serious condition that can cause serious health implications if not diagnosed early and treated properly. After consultations with Dr. Glafkides we moved forward in 2020 with a capsulectomy and replacement of these implants. Research has shown that various doctors approach this surgery in different ways, but Dr. Glafkides was successful with a minimal invasion procedure to remove some scar tissue and replace my implants. I cannot say enough about the knowledge and skill level that has been proven in my multiple surgeries with Dr. Michael Glafkides. He is the expert in his field of recsontruction surgery.

There are not enough words to describe how AMAZING Dr. Glafkides and his team are. Before meeting him, I had consulted with another plastic surgeon who made me feel uncomfortable and unsure about moving forward with my large breast reduction. I gave it a second chance and consulted with Dr. Glafkides who made ALL of my fears and worries go away by taking time to show and explain the process. He and his staff made me feel so welcomed and after my consult I felt so comfortable with my decision to move forward with surgery. He even personally called to speak with my husband who had questions and concerns about the process. I am 2 weeks post surgery and so incredibly pleased with the results and the care and support he has given me post-op. Dr. Glafkides did an amazing job that looks so very natural and will last a very long time. The results are all I hoped for and more. He was excellent with follow up appts to make sure everything was went smoothly during an easy recovery and I was back out doing my daily activities within two weeks. I would trust him in the future for any procedure he specialized in again.

He did a great job, exactly what I needed, not only in outcome, but also in the process that it took, all of this with lots of compassion and care.

Dr Glafkides is an excellent physician! I had a laceration along my collarbone that I feared would leave a lifelong scar. Dr Glafkides did a wonderful job treating my wound and I'm amazed by the results (no scar!). Both Dr. Glafkides and his staff are kind, caring and completely professional. I have been a patient of Dr Glafkides for many years and recently contiplated volbella lip filler. I had many conversations wth the doctor expressing my hesitation and concerns, and he was very patient and listened to me explaining exactly what to expect and that he would be very conservative. At no point did I ever feel pressured and I greatly appreciate that about him.
